The main idea for this script came from my wife, who by her own admission, does not "get" the comic. Still, I thought the dirty Santa plot was a great idea. Originally, I had intended to put a gamer twist on Steve's gift, and have the fuzzy dice be D10s, but apparently, my communication skills are lacking (I know that must really shock some of you). Steve: “Okay, kill your eggnog – it’s time for dirty Santa!”

Tim: “So… we draw numbers to see who goes first?”

Ray: “We’re gamers – we roll a D20.”

Steve: “Crap, a one. I go first.”

Rich: “Those are… interesting.”

Brad: “Are you kidding? They are terrible!”

Steve: “They are… WONDERFUL!”

Amy: “It would be kind of cool to hang them on your rearview mirror. You know, to be ironic?”

Ray: “Yeah, it would. Since it’s my turn, I think that I’ll just…”
Steve (interrupting): “Before you finish that sentence, remember who determines which character all of the monsters attack, and which areas of the dungeon floor trigger deadfall traps.”

Steve: “Not that I’m telling you what to do, of course. But this *is* D&D… awful, debilitating curses and terrible, acid-soaked luck happen.”

Brad: “Dude, he can’t do that! If you want to steal them from him you can – this is dirty Santa!”
Ray: “Maybe so… but consider the wisdom of Han Solo. Sometimes, it’s best to just let the wookie win.”
