Script for this strip:
Opening Scene: Al standing with a neutral coloured background
Al: Today on Mythbreakers, we look at the Eagles

NF: Bromern with a guitar, same background, Al standing slightly behind him
Bro (singing) On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, warm smell of ....
AL: Not those Eagles!

NF: Bromern and Al flying on the back of a giant eagle. A single mountain behind them
AL: Many readers and viewers of Lord of The Rings, have questioned why the fellowship did not fly all the way to Mordor.
Bro: After all, it would have been quicker and safer too

NF: Still on eagle, banking across forest
Al: One main reason was that the mission of the fellowship was one of stealth.
Bro: and giant eagles are very hard to sneak into Mordor.
Al: As well, Mount Doom had to be entered to reach the fire, so they could not drop them from above.

MF: Bromern close up,
Bro: The eagles were sent from Valinor - equals to the Wizards, and not servants to them.

NF: Al close up
HP: Sauron had his own flying steeds as well, that Eagles would have been hard pressed to fight with passengers on their back. Plus they were not immune to the rings temptation either.

NF: Eagles landing, Al and Bromern getting down
AL: So, there were many reasons why the fellowship couldn't just use the Eagles
Bro: Consider too that the books would have been rather dull if they could have anyway.

NF: Eagle claw stretches out to Bro and Al with piece of paper labeled "Bill"
AL: Aaaahhhh!
Bro: Aaaahhhh!

NF Al facing audience, Bromern in back looking over the bill
Al: There might have another very good reason why they didn't fly all the way to Mordor
Bro: Flight tax, baggage overage? By the gods, this is a lot of bird seed.
Al: Demi gods do not come cheap.
Bro: Visa? Avian Express?
