It spits out a manga graphic novel, but with each page taken from a different source, all of which has at least one character shown with that blank look.

Subject: Poof goes the grey fur

Lily absently licked her teeth, the taste of blood making her feel just a bit hungry. Her form shifted slightly as she took back to all fours, once again taking the full form of an oversized fox. The threat seemingly passed, thought arose. She tilted her head slightly as she scanned around the room. She vaguely wondered what they were if they weren't actors... but then again, first thing was first... she needed to go to her den... and Elly was probably getting worried.

Without a word, not that she'd likely say any to begin with, she focused inward, taking in her surroundings, and causing her fur to match. With that done, she quickly bounded out the door, destination first to where Elly was waiting, and then onwards to her home.

Or maybe that's just when I'm GM

Anyway... good luck, and I'll be cheering you on from here... where it's

PS. if/when I play, I'm totally going to play first the char that dies, second the char that is odd, and third... I'll get there when I get there... although chances are they'll all be odd to some degree

PPS. Eol and Meri... maybe take a peek in a couple of really old games... I made a couple of posts just because I felt like it... you don't have to, but thought you might like to see...

PPPS. Now to stop procrastinating and run to next class... *sprints*

Subject: Unamused Lily is not amused

Although Lily knew, being a member of one of the local drama clubs, that drama had its place, she certainly would not have chosen this time and instance were she the gun-woman. Especially if she were to actually think and realize that Lily was actually... well, language aside, pretty damn close to her, though granted, perhaps that woman didn't know the human-level intelligence within the beast. Regardless, ignorance wouldn't save her in this battle. Whirling around quickly, Lily took a lunging leap at her, slightly askew with one paw aiming directly for the gun arm. If she landed as intended, she'd bring her teeth to bear and try to tear into the muscle in that arm. If not... well, she'd settle for just trying to pin the woman's arm for now.

She knew she was taking a risk, not finishing off the flamethrower, but right now she considered the woman's gun to be the biggest threat, and so, that needed to be taken care of.

Subject: Where the past and the present collide, in the darkness, in me confide.

Far Off Past

Jen quickly dashed first out the doors as the bells tolled. Soon, the other elementary students also filed out, but Jen beat them all as she quickly ran down the town sidewalk. There was someplace she wanted to be. Taking a shortcut, Jen cut through an alley, behind a person's yard, before cutting into the woods. Although she was agile, she slowed down a bit; she knew it'd be bad if she tripped on a tree root.

Leaping from one extended root to the next, she made her way forward, before slowing down even more, now even tip-toeing. She slowly made her way towards a clearing, where she heard the metallic grating of a swing. She lowered her bag, and timed it carefully. Without warning, she lept out into the clearing, running forward and grabbing the figure on the swing, pulling them into a close hug even as she dragged the swing to a stop.

Alice nearly shrieked, but giggled, recognizing Jen. "Stop doing that!" She protested, even as she laughed.

"It's fun," Jen stuck her tongue out, "Besides, if you're on the swing, I know you aren't sewing, so you're fair game."

Alice shook her head, "You're silly."

The two of them played for a bit, with Jen pushing Alice on the swing, before Alice moved and went over to the park bench, with Jen not far behind after grabbing her bag. Alice pulled out a small patch of cloth.

"Still learning needlework?" Jen asked curiously, even as she stretched her legs.

"Yep." Alice replied, "I like it." She giggled softly, "Why don't you ever let me make anything for you?"

Jen laughed, "You know me. I'm all over the place. I'd be worried about ruining it."

Alice fell silent a moment, a hand at her chin in thought, "How long are you going to grow your hair?" She asked suddenly.

Jen blinked, looking up at Alice on the bench, "I dunno... might keep it short. Long hair just gets in the way."

Alice tilted her head, "I see... so if it wasn't in your way, would you grow your hair long too?"

Jen blinked again, "I guess so... what are you getting at?"

"It's nothing." Alice giggled, humming softly to herself as she continued sewing.

The next day, Alice gave Jen a small box.

"What's this?" Jen asked.

"I made it for you." Alice smiled, "Hope it turned out well."

Blinking, Jen opened the box. Inside was a long ribbon with cloth roses sewn together and on it. She held it up, looking at it closely, "Wow... you're really good... but what's it for?"

Alice laughed, "Silly, it's for you to tie your hair back with."

Unknown Place
Unknown Time

The guardian stood, poised, in the same position it had been placed in since it was conceived. Its left hand curled protectively around a small, unseen object, held closely to what appeared to be its chest. Its face was opaque and blank, looking more like a helmet than a head, with two long strips of metal connecting in front to form a wide v between where its eyes would be, the upper parts curling around and extending back from the head. The rest of its body, however, was built with a profound attention to detail. Engraved lines and spirals littered the metallic components that made up the guardian's arms, shown faintly by the dim light in the room. Instead of legs, however, its torso simply appeared to sit upon a hexagon shaped podium, with six orbs at its base, each with a hole in it. Where its right hand would be, instead was a single, smooth sphere, held just in front of it, almost as though to beckon someone to touch it.

Around the hexagon shaped room, six medium length spikes of metal were wedged into crevices within each pillar. The only other thing that the faint light revealed as it trickled in from slits in the walls, was a layer of dust that had settled on the guardian, the plain floor, and a couple of humanoid skeletons.

Topic: Pokemon Q&A
Subject: Taking things for granted...

Knowing that something was mentioned, and knowing what they are actually doing, are very different things. Yes, the police were mentioned, but there's very little detail to go on. How far away they are, what they know, what their assumptions will be, whether they've already have weapons/pokemon drawn or active, how they will ask their questions of the party. These are things that the player will not assume, because they don't want to assume too much on behalf of the GM. It's the GM's job to lay out the entirety of the scene before the players' eyes in a new scenario or a significant change in one, especially on forum, where there is no map, no visual cues for the players at all besides the words of the GM.

The player does not wish to put words in the GM's mouth, so to speak, so a player asking for clarification isn't usually them simply overlooking detail. It's them trying to make sure of what their GM intends for the scene to look like.

I hope this helps... it just feels like there's getting to be a lot of misunderstanding in general in this game, and from that, hesitation to post...

Topic: The Day They Woke Up on the Wrong Side of Reality
Subject: Might be easier than that

Galen rubbed a hand on his chin thoughtfully, "It might not actually be that difficult, Ray... maybe if it were merely us telling them, but who said it had to be us?"

"I wonder... how strong the influence of Mr. Sakamoto's son in the region is. If we relay this information to him, he might be able to locate and converse with a few 'seeds', people who have further influence, or charisma. Humans at least will often follow with a crowd than against it. Once there are numerous seeds willing to go, there will be others. They will still have their doubts, but if they can trust and recognize the faces of the seeds chosen, they will follow as well." Galen mused.

"Naturally, with that degree of trust, it falls on our shoulders the responsibility of showing them their trust is well founded." Galen added, "So if we're to complete this mission, we had better make sure we do not take any unnecessary risks with their safety." He nodded towards Irthos, "This includes your people as well; you already know this, but do be careful. While the gathering can provide a reassurance and a feeling of peace, there is also the possibility that the cult, or at least some of its more extreme members, may likewise take advantage of it to send a message."

Galen paused, "If they they are particularly cunning, there is the possibility they'll attack both the humans and kobolds gathered there, in an attempt to make it look like the humans were the instigators of the combat, while the kobolds were merely defending themselves. That act would spur the feeling of distrust, and sew seeds of war. Alternatively, they may attack just the humans in a more isolated and thoughtless approach. Either way, or another, they will likely not merely sit back, and instead try to take advantage of the situation."

Galen toyed with a lock of his long hair. He almost felt like he should have a chessboard in front of him, or something else of similar nature. Despite differences in race and culture, some personality archetypes remained the same, although the ratio in which they were found differed. Using that as a foundation, he was trying to read the movements of an opponent he had not too much information about. Not the best way to start a strategy, but possible, as long as he tried to consider every possibility and potential, determine the more likely scenarios, and proceed based on that.

Subject: Once almost burned, twice aggressive

Lily almost froze momentarily as she saw fire emerge from nowhere. A second time it had done so that night. She quickly looked to pinpoint its source... Mr.BaseballCap it would seem, had some means to do so. She didn't know how, and honestly didn't care how right now. All she knew was that he was the biggest threat of the bunch, and so, had to be taken out.

Swapping back to all fours, she leaped forward, so close to the last gunner that they probably were afraid for their own skin. But, fortunately for them, they were not Lily's target. She reared back, continuing forward and spinning around with a high, clawed kick at Mr.BaseballCap. That was all she could do for now, but when opportunity presented itself, Mr.BaseballCap would learn the futility of trying to preach with an aggressive wild fox nearby. Not that Lily was remotely interested in or paying attention to what he was saying anyway. For her, there was only the moment, guided by instinct and feral aggression to take out all threats to her.
