Topic: Loaded Dice #48: Is Chivalry Dead?
Subject: Why?

Because the internet is full of 13 year old kids on summer vacation who have nothing better to do than destroy other people's hopes and dreams... at least that is my humble opinion.

But good news... when I just went into Reddit we have 5 votes up and NO votes down! They us!

Good job guys! The little 'character' bubbles and the overhead shot are awesome!

Also I have to agree with the DM, most D&D groups I've seen definatly get along better when they are being jerks.

Looking forward to next weeks post!

The girl blinks a few times as she looks up at Kiiron, only innocence blaring out of those tender blue eyes that still somehow turn his stomach at the same time.

"No Mommy... no mommy? No Mommy!!" The soft question turns into a sob and then finally an all out shriek that fills the room.

"NO MOMMY!!?"

The girl is now in hysterics, her face turning redder by the moment as tears streak down her cheeks and she screams out.

Hey there hon! Welcome back, we've missed you! It's always good to get the ladies to return, it starts smelling a bit like dirty socks around here otherwise

The wolf would probably feel some unease, but nothing overly drastic. I would see my dog perhaps whimpering a bit and raising her ears to look at the girl with a tilted head, but not growling or (more in character with my dog) running away.

As a mod I'm supposed to be helpful? I don't recall signing up for that!

But... fine if the Boss says so I'll do my best.

Yeah just let us know what you are looking for Andy, and if it isn't here already we can always see about adding a new thread for it!

Welcome.

Ody... gimme a bit and I'll figure out how to get our new student involved

Shield... yes technically an Int check would work, but I'm not going to be that fussy. You look her directly in the face and you feel a bit queasy... no one has an intelligence low enough to go 'yep that's normal' you of course figure something is off here.

The great thing is that they really can work that way too! Managed to distract a few NPC's, and perhaps the DM now and then, with similar tactics myself.

Good good, glad to see you figured that out.

Oh... and p.s. everyone, you all have probably noticed the little girl by now, a direct look at her face will also prompt a bit of vertigo but nothing tragic. Sorry forgot to mention that earlier.

Oh... and yes once we get all of Ody's things finalized and approved he will be joining us... hopefully before that little girl kills you all

It is a bit late, but... there you go. Enjoy.

Oh and BTW the vertigo is minor, nothing that would impair his abilities in any way, just something irritating at this point.

Subject: Who is this?

The slightest raising of her glass was the only response the Director gave to being hailed by one of her students, before we went back to nursing her bottle and whatever woes were directing her to it.

At the table everyone seemed to be getting along much better than they had been on the battlefield, which at least was not adding to the Director's problems.

However, what was approaching the table might prove to change all of that.

No one saw where the little girl came from, it was not until she tugged at Kiiron's sleeve that anyone noticed her at all. She is a small human child, perhaps three or four years old. She is dressed well, in a light blue dress and little shiny black shoes. Her dark curly hair has been pulled into pigtails with blue bows.

As she looks up at Kiiron he feels a slight wash of vertigo wash over him. Something about those bright blue eyes, the slightly pink flushed cheeks and rosebud of a mouth is simply not right. It is difficult to put his finger on, but it does not sit well on his stomach.

This does not stop her from making a pitiful utterance up towards him, "Mommy?"

Well it is getting to be time to start preparing the next edition of the RDInnsider.

This coming month we are going to focus on the world of Science Fiction.

I am looking for article and creative submissions in this genre, so if you have anything please send it my way!!

*rolls d20, watches with raised brows* What's the worst that could happen? Ooooohhh.... you'll see... you'll see!

But... at any rate. Again good job playing nicely this week (I am getting good 'Mommy Practice' with you all ). Not everyone has checked into the bar, you'll have until tomorrow and then we are moving forward.

Subject: Deepest Appologies

I spoke with Tann earlier today and I just haven't been able to keep up with Trilogy lately.

I'm with my first child and this whole baby making thing is just draining me. In order to keep up with the newsletter next month and the game I (at least pretend to) run here I am going to have to take a leave from here.

I've loved playing with all of you and hopefully when I get some more energy I can return once again.

I'll try to check in now and then see what you crazy folks are up to, it really does stink to have to leave in the middle of all this chaos.

Good luck all!

So far this is going much better I feel. Thank you everyone for listening and trying here. I knew we could get along if we just put a little bit of effort into it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of this goes before the evil DM in me comes out and I burn the Inn down or some such

Lovely work.

I absolutely the look on his face while the die is rolling across the two panels.

(No I can't come up with -his- name right now. *le sigh* I've got lists and lists of baby names running through my head, it's amazing some days I know my name... but you all know who I'm talking about! )

Keep it up!

I've set the scene.

I will do the next post to get us going on another little 'adventure' on Saturday. Until then you all have been tasked with a little RP... a little 'let's be nice to each other' RP. I think this will prove an interesting challenge. I'll be watching the posts, and as you noticed I put Professor O'Leary in the bar with you, she might not seem interested but I promise you she is listening and obviously not in a good mood, I really don't recommend getting her attention just yet.

If your character has not posted up by Friday night (as I hope to get the update in Saturday morning if all goes well) I will assume they decided to stay at the dorms that evening and will either miss on whatever event occurs at the Inn or will join in later, per my discretion.

Enjoy and good luck!
