Subject: Ever Polite...

She had blushed slightly when the elf bowed over her hand. She had watched his strange moon colored eyes and kept quiet while he had spoken, introducing himself, reaffirming his position that she should not be with them, and then explaining his people some to her.

When he had finished and silence hung on the air for a moment she bowed her head back to him and attempted to repeat the greeting he had offered her. “O’l gati kami, Eofara.” She blushes a bit deeper when she realizes she probably did not get it quiet right but then goes on.

“My stomach will appreciate your efforts. Although…” she leans in an inch and lowers her voice to a whisper as if revealing a secret to him, “I prefer baked goods…”

In the last shreds of starlight her eyes brighten up and she smiles warmly with a slight laugh at her admission. Then her head cocks to the left and she looks at him almost, inquisitively.

“If your people avoid our civilizations, why are you here?”

But before he can answer her attention is pulled toward another approaching figure. The other red headed woman, a follower of Liris unless Thea had been mistaken. She smiled to her and bowed her head in greeting as Anora greeted them, offered a prayer to her god and plead for more to join them.

Gently Thea’s pale fingers came to Anora’s shoulder comfortingly. “I am sure they will, the gods will not allow us to go on this journey without all we need. You are Anora correct? I am Thealora Justinia, although Thea really is fine.” She glances at Eofara when she says that as if to confirm that it is fine for him to call her that as well. “And he is Eofara… he says he can hunt so we won’t fear going hungry.” She smiles as her eyes move back to Anora.

Inside the fear still eats at her stomach, but with the other two with her and the distraction of making introductions it does not consume her.

I fed them to the birds in the front yard. I should have doused them in tequila first and watched the birds get drunk, that would have been funny.

I feed it a bottle of Romulan Ale and a pixie.

It's this weird powdery fake lime stuff they sprinkle on the chips, gives them green speckles... and makes them

And yes I'm a lightweight...

You know even with a margarita they would be bad. Now REAL tortilla chips with lime, like they have at Qdoba... those are amazing, but the Tostito's lime flavoring is gross. Then again, enough margarita (which in my case means 2 tops) and I wouldn't care.

Thea still nibbled on the biscuit, when she heard motion to her left. Immediatly she tensed and turned her head toward it. A small breath as she realized it was the elven man whom she had met only a few hours ago.

The biscuit dissapeared into a pocket and her hood came down slowly, letting her bright red hair spill out. Quietly she stepped toward him.

"I... I didn't think you would come after all that you said." Her voice was a bit shakey but quiet and soothing. A tiny smile played on her lips though as she spoke to him, tumbling a crumb down her chin.

"I'm not complaining though. You are a Twilight elf... right? I cannot say I've really ever met one of your people before, seen a handful perhaps but I don't think I've ever spoken to one. I know... you don't think I should be here. But..." she sighs a little, "but I am following what my heart says, and I pray that the Goddess guides that. Of course my stomach... thinks that I am insane." She laughs, but it hollow through the tears that threaten to overwhelm her blue eyes again.

"I listen to my heart though, and that's why I'm glad you decided to come. It says I can trust you. Oh..." another laugh and the tears are held at bay, for now.

"I'm Thealora Justinia." She smiles a little and holds out her hand to him. "I would offer you some elven greeting, but I'm afraid I know none, so I am forced to offer you this human greeting."

Kobolds? This place stunk enough as it was, now it positively reeked. Ela had been hoping to see some sign of life here, but these creatures barely qualified.

At least it isn’t fire… she thought to herself as her bow moved fluidly toward one of the oncoming creatures. The arrow already knocked and ready to be slung was pulled back and for a moment she could feel the caress of a feather against her cheek. Taking a deep breath in she let it fly.

“Castien… don’t fail me now my love…” she whispered almost in a prayer as she pulled the next arrow out of her quiver, let it caress against her cheek and then fired it.

Time slowed for her. The kobolds that ran at her and her friends seemed to hover in the air midstep. More arrows were being shot at them and around her she knew her friends were preparing for attack. But she was lost in the moment, focused intently on her targets and working to bring them down one by one.

Another arrow brushed her cheek and flew into the air. She did not even watch where they went. As soon as the arrow had left her cheek she was on to the next. Her breath was smooth and even, making her thin veil flutter slightly with each exhalation.

Feathers against her cheek, another arrow let loose. Only then did she allow her consciousness to let in the world around her for a moment, checking where allies were and making sure that the arrows she had fired had hit their marks.

((OOC: In a prior post I stated that she had an arrow at the ready once they got into the bubble so I am assuming that means she gets in 4 shots this round. Which if I am correct she has just taken. Her intention is to keep firing until the kobolds get too close for that to be feasible. No sense shooting into melee now matter how fun it might be to get an arrow stuck in Derry’s derriere Once in melee she will probably try to realign herself to look for, and take out, any stragglers if any))

Just posted up on the Coming and Going's forum that he will be out for awhile.

He hadn't yet posted to the game so I will edit my original posts and pull him out for now. If he would like to join up after he makes it back to us I'll work him in at that point.

Thief

(It's Nora Roberts pen name, like Bachman for King... under Robb she writes these crime novels set like fifty years in the future. The main character is this female detective. I've read a few.)

Food should be chewed.

Nothing better than the crunch of a chip!

Speaking of which I tried the Baked Tostito's last night, and the whole wheat Tostito's this weekend, both are surprisingly good. I've tried some of the other Baked chips, like the potato chips and they taste like cardboard and I refuse to eat them. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that my favorite chip actually converts well into a 'healthier' version.

But... don't try the Tostito's with Lime...
