Of course he's not a good guy. He encroached on his best friend's wife.

And even while they might have suspected that Rick wasn't going to make it out of that hospital alive, they had no proof... and they jumped on that train pretty quickly too. I'd hope that that my best friend and husband wouldn't hit the sack less than a month after they thought I was eaten by zombies.

And yeah... Lori isn't off the hook here either.

I should find out what my husband thinks of Shane as he hasn't read the books, so he'd have a more unbiased opinion.

Of course he's already quoted the schmuck (Shane, not my husband) once this week... caught me leaving the kitchen light on... So maybe I don't really want to know what his opinion of Shane is in the long run. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

Tonight though I will.

But... seriously Eol... did you have warm fuzzy feelings about Shane going into the series after reading the graphic novel (it seems weird calling them 'comics')?

ohhh... and p.s. Rick might have done swung an axe 40 times... but I promise you Lizzie didn't

Do you use catsup on other things?

I personally only really use it on burgers, hot dogs and fried potato products (fries and tatertots). And even then I prefer BBQ sauce on my burgers or mustard on my hot dogs. I cringe whenever I serve brat's at my house and the rest of the family slathers them down with catsup instead of the stone ground brown mustard that belongs on them.

Actually I guess catsup is one of those things that I use because it is easy and available most of the time, but if another option is available I usually skip out on it. There are so many other wonderful sauces to be using...

umm... ranch, honey mustard, BBQ, the myriad of mustards, sweet and sour, horsey sauce, relish, tartar, steak sauce... I could go on and on...

Ohh... yeah I guess not. We're here, quiet a few of us on a daily basis at least to some degree.

Glad you could join us Michael.

You'll find a wide variety of gaming systems used here and hopefully you'll find some things that you'll find useful. We focus alot on forum based games here, but we have lots of resources for people who prefer tabletop too. I personally do both.

Let us know if you need anything. Us purple people are staff, but honestly just about anyone whose been around can help you out and will be glad to do so. We're pretty friendly.

Just uh... don't feed the Grugg when he shows up... and... here's a towel, you'll need it later.

Welcome to the insanity Chessi.

Glad to hear you are making your way around and getting ideas.

And yes... I'll answer for Eol... you can PM him or me... or anyone else with any questions you have. Promise we won't make fun of you for being a newb. We were all there at one point. Trust me I've asked some pretty silly things over the years (even after I got my pretty purple staff title ).

Well glad to see you about and hope to keep running into you!

We love the dust bunny!

Unfortunatly I'm going to have this baby sometime in the next five weeks so I just cannot commit myself to anything new right now. Have a feeling I'll be a bit busy and distracted when you actually get it rolling.

But... other people should join! Rer is a great GM!

Which is very sad. Of course I still won't be able to watch them until Monday because I need to sleep Sunday nights... but still.

I do agree though... the casting thus far has been great. Can't wait to see who they get for the rest of the campers (especially Carol) next week. I know the girl who plays Andrea was recently in King's The Mist and did a great job there so I know she'll do great with Andrea.

Such delightfully complex characters Kirkman created.

I think that is part of the charm of zombie stories though... it is not the zombies that make it interesting, generally they are pretty boring 'monsters' all things considered, but how the human's react to them and then to each other.

Just went to look these up on Amazon (yes I'm avoiding doing actual work right now).

Here is the product description:

'This hardcover features the first 12 issues of the hit series along with the covers for the issues in one oversized hardcover volume. Perfect for long time fans, new readers and anyone needing a slightly heavy object with which to fend off the walking dead.'

+1 Applaud for Amazon

Who needs cable... I've got the internet and a husband who loves me very much.

Got to watch it last night after child birth class.

Fantastic indeed.

And I was pleased that they started the show in the encampment by the gas station, even though that scene wasn't in the comic it certainly squashed any thoughts that they were going to tame down the story line much. Obviously yes the language has been tamed some, but not too much really, but that's fine with me as long as the plot still works out.

How many comics are there anyway? I've made my way through the first 8... but there are least 12 aren't there?

And yeah... I asked that lovely husband of mine for the hardbound version of the first collection for Christmas.

Been wondering how far they would go with the comic book plot. Some of things Kirkman has done have been hardcore, so I'm interested to see if AMC is actually brave enough to go there.

Managed to finally get that in.

And look she's not being completly crazy.

Although... yes I am fully aware of the potential danger she is walking into. No one has staked out that basement door or made sure that there is nothing hideously fatal behind it and she's unarmed (well unless you consider that zombie child a potential weapon ).

We shall see what happens. Hopefully one of you guys with weapons will at least jump infront of her and open the door first, but... who knows.

The harbor… we are headed to the harbor.

Why?

… Rest? I am tired… he’s getting heavy.

Who?

Joshua.

Are you sure?

Sure he is getting heavy… yes… especially with my leg, he’s getting very heavy.

Sure he’s Joshua?

Who else would I be carrying?

Silence.

They were walking towards Lake Michigan in patches of sunlight that streaked the streets in these passing hours of daylight. Amber bounced the ‘sleeping child’ on her hip slightly as she walked, barely conscious of the instinctual movement. The walk had helped Joshua fall asleep thousands of times over his short life, and perhaps it was working now for she noted that he had not moved much recently.

It was hard to focus on anything for two long. Reality seemed to swim in and out of the sunlight as they got closer and closer to the harbor. They were close though, that much she was sure of. Very close to the water, she could smell it from here and even though things were much too quiet, from Josh and the city, to really make her comfortable the smell was familiar enough to bring a small sense of calm to her nerves.

A calm that was suddenly shattered as two figures moved out before them and the shrieks began behind them.

Her feet stopped. She leaned heavily on her left leg, the right was still sending messages of pain, and adjusted the child in her arms to get a more secure grip on him. Seconds ticked by as she stood in the middle of the street grasping at the loose edges of sanity and rational thought.

Deep down it registered that she simply could not handle facing more of them today. What they were exactly she was having difficulties putting her finger on, not that she tried too hard because she knew she wouldn’t like the answer.

There had to be an alternative to dealing with them. Her dark eyes scoured the area and finally fixed on a door. It was draped in shadows, but she had to think of more than just herself right now. Calmly she started her feet in motion again and began walking toward the door.

“Come on babe… we should just take a little break in here…”

Sorry I haven't posted yet... trying to work on it. Just super distracted right now.

But... wanted to get something clarified before I get too far into Amber's head... the two zombies ahead of us, are they speeding towards us in patches of shadow or light? Not normally something that would matter I know, but for Amber it means alot. Gotta figure out just how badly she is going to end up losing it in the end.

Thanks!

Not sure what Amber is going to do...

But as a player I feel that the apt building is our best shot currently. Might very well be infested with zombies, but we won't know for certain until we try.
