Hopefully Isaac can figure out what she means. It is kind of fun trying to play a character who pretty much refuses to speak to people.

As they had walked Syana had fallen slightly behind, not to the point that she was alone, especially after what had just happened, but enough that she came upon the vision of the lights after several others had already spotted them.

The lights stopped her steps. Her silhouette made quite the image. A silent shape shrouded in darkness, mist swirling up from the hem of her skirt and reaching with delicate fingers toward the clasp on her cloak. Despite the warmth of the night she shivered slightly and had pulled the cloak tightly around her with one hand, while the other rested over the tear in her bodice where the dead had tried to make her their own. Slate colored eyes kept moving, looking for the slightest movement in the coils of mist. The half circle charms around her neck lay atop her cloak, letting off an almost unearthly white glow.

Ahead the lights seemed to offer her solace. Food, shelter, other people and most importantly water. She desperately wanted to rid herself of the sticky dark blood that clung to her clothes, her hair, and buried itself under her fingernails. But it was the people that concerned her. The creatures they had met on the road came from somewhere. Perhaps they had come from the village below, perhaps the whole village was seething with more of them, or perhaps the village had battled them off and now stood ready to attack anything that came near – alive or not. There were so many reasons that going forward to it was a gamble.

She listened as Isaac expressed her thoughts on that issue. In some ways he reminded her of Tharin, her oldest brother, but that was mainly due to his ability to take on a position of leadership, that and his warming smile.

Then, in typical fashion, Aryan spoke up with her own, opposing, thoughts. If Isaac reminded her of Tharin, Aryan reminded her of Jedain, her sister, which was not nearly as favorable a comparison. Beautiful and hot tempered, Jedain did not get along well with Syana typically. But occasionally they could agree, and in this moment Aryan also made good points.

While the village was a gamble, the hillside where they had been attacked not long ago seemed to be a certainty. Those slate eyes moved back and forth between Aryan and Isaac a moment and then she took a deep breath and stepped forward, putting herself into the group more.

She did not like speaking to the whole group, even in signs, so she brought her eyes to Isaacs, and when he made eye contact with she began to make her thoughts clear. She pulled her hands out from her cloak and pointed a finger at him. Quickly moving on she put out one hand with the palm up and walked two of her fingers over the palm slowly. Next she brought a hand up to rest on her brow over her eyes as if sheltering the sun from her eyes. Finally she pointed down toward the lights, then at the ground where the group stood.

For a second she made eye contact with him again, then dropped her eyes to the ground, pulled her hands into her cloak and took a small step back from him and waited to see what the group would do.

I was a skinny baby. They actually accused my mother of child abuse I was so thin, did all these tests and found that I just had a super high metabolism. I was a pretty healthy child and only in the past ten years have started to have medical issues, I was tested for celiac (I love bread and am very happy that came back negative ), and they found that I had IBS and probably have for a long time... one of the results is you don't absorb food like normal people, along with other things... I am currently 26, 5'6'', and 115lbs, so I'm still tiny, and smaller than anyone in my family.
I'll keep the little bundle of joy in my happy thoughts, and hopefully it's just something like that.
If it is just something digestive related on a long term basis he'll just want to be more aware of digestive problems than most people his age. I've already gone through two colonoscopies, had a large polyp removed and am due for another scopie in a few months. But I'm still plugging along

“I certainly—“ Julianne stopped what was about to be a rip into Oscar’s performance when she saw the Yellow approach, for a second her mouth hung open widely. When the Yellow went about ordering Oscar what to do Julianne remembered that her mouth was open and quickly snapped it shut, immediately forcing it into a wide smile.

"You! Get over here, I have some questions to ask about this... Red you seem to intent to hang around with."

After a very small moment Julianne dropped her eyes to her feet and watched as they took her off the train and back onto the platform. She noted again the bright red splashes under her shoes as she approached the Yellow.

“Yes, certainly! I will be glad to discuss anything you would like, it would be my pleasure and my duty to Friend Computer!” she replied smartly, but in her chest her heart was pounding so loud she could hardly hear her own words.

Julianne watched as Oscar attempted to shoot the traitor in front of them, but the man with the ear buds stood where he was. She sighed and shook her head slightly, then without another moments hesitation she snapped open the holster for her phaser, drew, aimed and fired at Mr. Ear Bud. She caught him just above one of the treasonous ears. Blood flew out in a spray as his body fell to the ground.

Her baby blues looked down at the mess. Noting how the bright red blood stood out in such contrast to the dismally slate gray of the concrete, of how the white cord from the ear buds made a graceful line across his dark blue jumpsuit, except where it had perfectly formed bubbles of blood on its rubbery surface. After surveying her work she turned back to Oscar.

“What happened?”

But the train started to lurch as if to pull away from the station.

“Oh Rats! Come on, we gotta get to Sector 21.”

With one large step she walked over the body of Mr. Ear Bud and with another step she found herself in the train. Holding her arm out to stop the doors from closing she looked at her companions.

“Well, who is coming with? Oscar, if your phaser misfired you should head to Associative Supply Services immediately and get it repaired or replaced. I believe there is an A.S.S. post three blocks from here.”

She threw the members of the party a brilliant smile full of white teeth and sparkling eyes while she waited for them to decide if they were joining her.

The sound of the explosion had settled to a ringing in her ears and the soft crackle of smoldering wood behind her. Slowly she lifted a strand of her garishly red hair from her eyes and lifted her head to look around. Everyone on the platform seemed to be alive, except for maybe the man who had been sitting next to the woman in the wheelchair who lay prone on the platform. That fact seemed amazing. When the first explosion had gone off she was certain that was the end, finally. After everything that had happened she would die in a train wreck. But then she had started to move, grabbing her bag and rushing out of the car onto the platform, and here she was alive.

“So much for keeping a low profile…” she muttered to herself as she looked out over the platform to the twisted remains of the train, but her attention soon focused on more pressing matters.

Pain radiated out of her leg and she sat up to look at it. A large bit of metal poked out of her jeans, already they were turning purple from her blood. She winced slightly, but it would take much more than that to stop her, that she knew from experience. Adjusting herself to get a better look she then pulled her bag closer and began rummaging through it.

Out of her bag she pulled out a t-shirt, this one sporting a faded ‘Mr. Bubble’ logo on the front of it, a plastic bag with a small bar of soap, and a bottle of water. Without even pausing to consider what she was doing she wrapped Mr. Bubble around the end of the metal, gripped it tightly and with a stifled scream yanked it out of her leg. Tears welling up in her eyes, she held up the bloody end of it and stared at the blood dripping down to her hand for a moment before she unwrapped Mr. Bubble and threw the shrapnel off the edge of the platform.

Quickly she pulled the hem of her jeans up to her knee and twists to look at the wound. It is deep, but clean, thankfully. A quick motion removes the cap to the bottle of water and then pours water over the wound, she winces again as the water pours over the exposed flesh. Biting her bottom lip she gets the bar of soap and builds a lather on her hands before applying it to the gash, making a terrible face, but not screaming as she does. Another rinse with the water and then she ties Mr. Bubble tightly around her calf and lowers the pant leg back down.

Stuffing everything back in her bag she takes another look around, half expecting to have heard sirens already, but maybe they haven’t heard yet, and she would use that to her advantage. Slowly, babying her injured leg, she rises, slings the backpack over her shoulder and looks at the others.

“So… I’m not really planning on staying around for someone to come help us. Anyone need anything? Cause if not, I’m getting out of here…”

Syana dropped to her knees clutching at her bleeding side once all the dead had stopped moving. Her sword, splashed with the already congealed dark blood, fell from her fingers onto the damp ground. The pain from her wound came now, washing over her body like a cold bath. Pulling her hands away from her side she looked at the pale fingers covered with bright red blood, her mouth pulled into a small ‘o’ but no noise came out. Just as the blood had drained from her face leaving her pallid, Shianna was beside her.

She watched with hopeful eyes as Shianna tried to gain the favor of her God in order to heal her. As the bright light was pushed toward her she could feel the warmth of it take the pain. A soft sigh escaped from her as she settled back on her heels in the mud, the color rushed back into her face. The pain was still present, but it was bearable now.

Before Shianna had a chance to rise and help others she reached over and grasped her hand, giving it a small squeeze she offered a soft smile in thanks.

When she moved on Syana pulled a handkerchief out of a pocket in her skirt and attempted to clean the blood off herself, both hers in bright red, and the carrions in sticky black. While she did this she listened to what the others had to say about their situation. She needed rest, and Shianna was right, no village would be likely to let them in this night. The idea of resting here, though, with the slain creatures in such close proximity was disturbing. However, she did need the rest, it would be dangerous to continue to try and move in this fog, and the thought of walking some distance with her wound so fresh did not sound pleasant either.

So when Neri suggested they rest here for the night Syana nodded slightly in agreement and mimed sleep by closing her eyes, cocking her head and putting her hands under her cheek. However, despite her opinion she would do what the group decided, and not complain, which by now her fellow companions expected nothing less from her.

Thus once her opinion was stated she went back to scrubbing at the stains on her person, dismayed that without soap and water there would be no way to get them out, and even with those there would still be some discoloration to her clothing.

No seriously... I wasn't mocking or using sarcasm, I really did appreciate the constructive criticsm. I cannot improve my playing without it... I'm enjoying this game thus far alot and would like to keep it rolling and whatever you can suggest to me to help that out is fine and dandy.

No hurt feelings, no squashed toes, you'll have to try alot harder to offend me I promise

PS. I watched 'A Few Good Men' last night and am a military brat, so the 'Yes Sir' was more respectful, and perhaps a bit playful, not intended to be snotty I promise!

"Oh! Why yes I do think a trip to sector 21 would be in order. I would accompany you there, if that would be pleasant. It seems that your extra eye could be very useful in spotting communists. I think that using their own devious sabatouge against them is delightful! I am Julianne-1-DMAC-R, by the way, such a pleasure to meet you.
So you and I can head to 21 and that gentleman there suggested looking at the computers, which is also a lovely idea, perhaps the rest of you can work on that, unless someone else would like to come with us, or has some other great idea in mind?"

She nearly bubbled over with excitment as she started the plans of what would end in a termination. Just hopefully not hers.

The woman wearing the sunglasses, hiking boots, jeans and a Hard Rock San Diego t-shirt of equal worn out appearance had curled herself into the seat, a brown backpack squished protectively between her chest and her drawn up legs. Wrapped around her was a red and purple fleece blanket. Propped between the window and her head a light pink stuffed animal bunny was serving as her pillow. She did not sleep even though the dark circles under her eyes screamed of how little sleep she had gotten recently. The smell of the chemicals on her dyed red hair combined with the thoughts running through her head kept her awake.

Every time someone shifted in the car she jumped and turned her head in their direction. The young man directly across from her disturbed her some, but he had kept to himself, as had everyone else, so she did not do more than keep an eye on him. Besides her moving gaze she was generally restless. The worn out paperback book would appear from her bag now and then, but she could never get further than a few paragraphs before it would go back in the bag. Tubes of crackers would come of the bag between attempts at the book, which she would chew on nervously letting the crumbs fall all over the blanket before getting exasperated and wiping them off frantically and shoving the crackers back in her bag. Her fingers fiddled with the edges of her pants and the hem of the blanket. She just wanted this trip to be over with. Every clack of the train wheels took her closer to Mexico. Mexico, she had to get to Mexico.

When the train slowed to a stop she sat upright in her chair and peered first out into the darkness that surrounded the train, but saw nothing more exciting than the few lights of a sleepy desert town, she then turned her shaded glance over the car, looking at each patron suspiciously.

The loudspeaker announced that they were experiencing mechanical issues. Her mouth twisted into a knot.

You know dear, this is just what you deserve, after what you have done. You’ll never get to Mexico. If only you had been the good wife and mother I had raised you to be dear. None of this had to happen. You know if they find you, they won’t take you back, they’ll shoot, and likely shoot to kill.

Her mother’s voice rang through her head as her fist pounded against the arm rest in frustration.

She had just started to uncurl her hand and work refocusing her mind when the lady in the blue uniform entered the car. Immediately she threw her hand into her bag, curling her fingers around a hard solid object hidden deep within it and dropped down into the seat. Cautiously she tilted her head to get a glance of the woman in the small spaces between the seats. Not noticing any firearms or handcuffs Eve eased some, but still sat tense as a rattlesnake, ready to strike if necessary.

The blue uniformed woman spoke then, explaining that to proceed they would have to sign some contract, with their real name. What kind of rail service was this? Maybe the town had a bus station, she could catch a bus to take her down south.

And yet, the others were getting up and signing. It was only her and the strange Indian man who had yet to sign. If she tried to get off the train now it would only make her stand out. Standing out was the last thing she wanted to do. She fingered a lock of her blaring red hair, and caught a sight of the hideous color out of her peripherals. That had been a mistake, she really couldn’t afford to make any more. Her fingers released the hair and slowly moved up into the air.

“Bring it here, I’ll sign…” she said as confidently as she could. The uniformed woman brought over the folder and pen. Eve took it and carefully examined the document, formal looking, and with little written on it. Nothing overly alarming was written, what could it hurt, could she possibly get in any more trouble than she already was in?

Taking the pen she quickly scrawled her name, the letters stared up at her and for a moment her bottom lip quivered as if she might cry. She watched until the letters smudged out of legibility, and swallowed hard chocking down her tears and handed back the folder. That done she turned her back to the car and stared out the window, seeing more of her own reflection than anything beyond the window.

Borrowed time love, your living on borrowed time… her mother whispered.

"Yes, pleasant day, made especially pleasant by Friend Computers honor at being chosen for such an important mission." Like the others she kept her eyes down and her smile on while offering pleasantries back to the man in the blue uniform.

She then turned to the others, blinking in surprise when she caught sight of the one man's extra eye, but all the while kept her smile on plastered on her face. "Yes a team. We should really get to work on this right away, the thought of those horrible communists running free out there is frightening."

Her blue eyes sparkled, her blonde hair, pulled back from her face in a perfect ponytail, shone, even her uniform seemed almost shiny. The only thing that was not completly perfect about her was the rainbow of paint colors that she could never fully get out of her cuticles. Such were the dangers of her occupation.
