Subject: Guess Who Coming For Dinner......

Asher heard Wyatt’s comments over the comm about folks comin on board so he stopped by his quarters to strap on his Peace Keepers. Strangers onboard would mean crowd control and protection for his crew. With his favorite girls snug against his legs the kid headed down to assist Wolf.

As he entered the engine room Wolf looked up, “What the *guay Is going on Ash!”

“Best I can tell there’s a boat in trouble and we’re their closest help. Ain’t got enough life boats so we’re goin in to grab a few folks. Could get a bit crowded here. “

Wolf was already figuring what may need adjusted as Willow’s voice filled the room.

"Mr. Wolf, dear we're heading in to take on 40 casualties, though it's a big ship and we may end up with more. We'll be needing more air than we're currently producing."

Pausing only long enough to send a quick reply “On it miss Willow”. Wolf with Ash’s help continued prepping the ship for its forthcoming new cargo.

When Wolf click off the comm Ash piped up, “Whatever you need me ta do just point.”

Wolf pointed, “Ash help me with this” as he moved to adjust the Carbon Dioxide Scrubbers, the Heat Exchanger/Cooling system and finally the oxygen level within the Rocinante.

The kid followed the mechanic’s directions.

“ Say, would it might help if we could use the shuttles systems too? You know like, open the doors and let them make air too. They might even be able to be use as life boats to get the number of folk down to where the Roc ain’t puffen so hard. Maybe Ma and the new guy could bird dog us to a safe place? Ya think we should ask Capt’n?”

Asher kept working as he let Wolf ponder the idea. He wanted to get as much as possible ready before they took on their company. His job as “Public Relation” would be needed to support Capt’n Wyatt so all them folk know just who’s boat this is and who is in charge, so he have to leave Wolf for bit; even if it were just for show.

I really need to get new bifocals, my editing stinks.
Just fill in the blanks and do your own spellcheck.

We are having Trick or Treat on our street to today. We are in a small housing area outside of the city so we do it independent of them. 1:30 -4:00. I'm sitting in the cold garage watching the rain. Had our first group at 1:20.

So perfect weather 40 degrees F, rain and wind.

At least I'll try to catch up on post.

BTW, any Inn Mates that drop by will get a Frosty Mug of "Good Old Froth-n-Sloch".

Cheers!

Subject: Idea on Life support .........

I sent this as a reply on a PM but I thought I would cast it out to all.

I just read Tann's post and should have Ash reply. I will have the kid pose the question to Wolf. We can figure if it's a good idea here in Q&A, then flash it out.

Ok, so here's a thought. Can the shuttles be used to have their Life Support systems turned on to make and clean more air? Systems on and doors open to the passage way might make a secondary air flow system. Sort an Apolo 13 kind of thing. Another idea is to move folks to the shuttles to reduce the number on board. Self contained lifeboat sort of things. They could follow on the four hour trip to the moon if that wasn't on hard burn.

Are the Life pods from the Liner able to follow the Roc to the moon. We could shepard them to safety, sort of? Talk about a Piped Pipper thing. This could be great for business saving the backside of so many Rich folk.

Being to new kid I need to know the deck reference by Module until I'm more intuned to the game. I see a reptet of Decks 8 through 16 between Suacer Module and Star Drive Section, each have different information. There is even a Life Support of Deck 13 of the Saucer, which I would suspect is for use during seperation.

I'm not being a "Rules Lawyer" I'm just trying to live up to the quality of everyone else's work by learning as fast as I can.

I'd have Tier to 11 instead of LaRue if I'd been a little more aware. He's both Security and darn fine Engineer too.

Ok, so life support is in two locations. When I check what was on 20 - 24 that's where I found Life Support and ran with that info. It doesn't really say which is the main one.

I hadn't checked out Deck 11 until now.

Sending Tier to 24 was because of Engineering background, he can also help keep Life support going and be close if the need him to help on the engine. If Roger wanting to run with him I'm good with it.

Yes, keep it, I'll just pay closer attention. It my error of rushing my post to catch up.

It's rainy out, so I may have more time inside to pull more of this together. There was plenty of info, I just did't organize it for my best use.

It won't take much now to know where to go to find the right stuff.

Bodies floating in space, did anyone notice if they are our folk?

We should have something from Engineering on an ACTUAL hull breach so I don't send Securtiy in to have them sucked off the ship.

I'll add to the stituation. John will hit the comm from the bridge to add the new information. It will go with his report and now next action.

Boom

The sudden violent roll of the ship woke John from a sound sleep and nearly pitched from his bunk. The blurr of sleep evaporated as the lieutenant used the motion to drive himself on out of bed. He glanced at his clock as he pull on his duty uniform, 0313. This could not be good.

Slipping into his boots a second pitching nearly tossed him to the floor.

Boom

As John gain his balance and head to the door as Ensine Soileau’s voice came over the comm..

John quickly assessed the decks the Ensine called out.

John stepped to his comm console and responded to the bridge report, “Affirmative bridge”.

Switching the comm to the Duty Watch,
=/\\= Watch Commander deploy teams to decks 21 and 22. Special support on 23 and 24; potential boarding breach. Get a team to 20 for evac control of personnel. Button down the Impulse and Life support so Engineering can keep us moving and breathing.

Ensign Raditz take deck 21 and deck 22, Ensign Kato deck 23 and deck 24. Ensine LaRue to Deck 20. Assess and report. =/\\=

John acknowledged the Captain as he entered the bridge “Sir” and strode to his station. As he crossed the bridge he thought to himself, Don’t get your hagus in an uproar, Mac.. Addressing Lt. MacTavish, “Sir, Teams deployed on 23,24,21 and 22, evac team on 20. Full report coming.”

So as to not hold everyone more here are the bones of my post.
Started the post but here are the bones:

1. John bounced out bed by first boom.

2. Recieved general comm call Ensine on possible boarding breach.

3. Sent out orders to deploy teams on decks 21 ,22, 23, 24.
Main attention on 23 which is main Inpulse Engines and 24 is Life Support. Critical to support Engineering to keep flying and keep breathing.

4. Makes way to bridge to coorinate with Mac and others.

The will flesh it but ya'll casn build around that.

Love them fuffy towels.

Thought I'd pop in here and add the Ody welcome.

Pop into the DragonChat where I act as current resident bar tender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale with the foam on the bottom.
Just grab a mug off the mantel and draw a cold frosty one.

My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.

He never says anything, must have something to with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bar tender over at the Orc Bar & Grill.

Anyway the Posting Games are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.

So lurk or play, welcome to the Inn!

And Welcome to Trilogy.

I'm running on ice a little trying the build my guy. I've sent some basic stuff and ideas to the boss but still having a bit of the slows getting the bio in place. Reading old stuff, checking the reference material and hoping to pull it together soon.

He's not from a poor or troubled family. But folks really don't know what had been happening behind the scenes. When society was collasping there were those that continued to stand for "right". The people needed help when the criminals and power hungry folk tried to take over. So in small pockets there were those that just made a difference. The members of the Reid family have stepped up and then passed the tourch to those that wished to carry on. Sometimes there were many, sometimes there were very few; but there has always been at least one. They work inside the system as much as possible.

Let's just say that the Silver Bullet heirloom encased in crystal on John's dresser still is a reminder of the high cost of taking a life.

Subject: A new run....

The cargo was stored and the Roc left on it’s run. Ash could tell by the size of the load and the stores that this would be a longer run than they’d been pull’n . Wyatt hadn’t gone into details so Ash figured it was the usual “need to know”, after all that ain’t his end of the business.
As with all flights Ash fell into his routine doing what ever was needed. Willow kept up her classes and Ash showed up early to take part in the meditation part. He saw this as a way to make himself more alert so the he didn’t get his brain pan rung by a swift kick from the Doc.

A passenger had stayed on board when they left Eisley Moss Spaceport and he was makin sure the goods got delivered to a home kids. He was Cheung Fu Sheng and some kind of monk or religious person. He had started to join them in their morning class and it was real clear he knew a lot more about those moves on Willow’s video than either of them would ever be able to do. He’d started show’n Willow how to hold her arms and legs when she moved; didn’t seem too much but dang she’d really started to pack a wollup and a heck of lot more accurate. Then Fu Sheng started letting Ash in on the moves too, it all seemed so simple the way he’d say it, but you had to think to get it right. Fu said it would become natural with time and that it would be there before Ash looked for it. The kid wasn’t so sure, but he was able to block Willows kicks more often.
Three days into the flight…….
Asher was bit concerned when they were hailed and boarded by Alliance Feds. He made his usual preparation for trouble, but they were searching for a couple of fella’s and didn’t check the cargo. The kid figured that clued the run as the more legal kind and didn’t give the goods any more thought.
Four days later…….
Practicing his draw and fire weren’t practical on board but Ash had found some games on the Cortex that tested his concentration and reflexes. Most of the crew just thought he was wast’n time on the shoot’um ups but the kid could tell that the sessions with Willow and Fu Sheng helped him be more aware and react quicker, with better accuracy. He was moving through an advanced level with speed that had even drew Fu’s attention. Just as he was about to level again the Cortex shutdown. With a burst of frustration the kid let out a “Gorrum”, he was concentrating so hard he hadn’t saved and would have to do the whole level over.

Asher set down the controller as over the comm. came, "Zzztttzzttztztz.....Mayday! Mayday....Zztztztztz. This is the Star of Sihnon ... zzttzz ... liner...zzztzttzt ...please help."

The kid turned to Fu Sheng, “Excuse me, gotta go.” Then he headed for his usual station down with Wolf.
