Subject: The Stuff From The Castle...............

Here's what I found so far beside the wooden Wand.

War Room:
5 potions,
3 bags of gold,
a well made expensive looking pin,
2 well-crafted bastard swords.

Lab:
So you picked up a ring or two maybe a necklace, maybe something else.

Library:
In all the searchers found and came away with:
5 tomes heavy magic in nature
2 tomes of lighter magic

From the Chamber of thee Crimson Death:
3 bags of gold
1 Potion of a watery black liquid.
2 Dark red potions the fluid as thick as blood.
A pair of jeweled Anklets
A set of Bone & Marble Dice
A wand crafted of bone
A fancy hat with a matching cloak
a set of Bagpipes.

From the Throne Room:
From Queen’s body:
a Ring,
a Pin,
2 Dagger’s,
Queen’s clothing is very nice and well made and carries a magical taint

From the Butcher:
His meat cleaver,
boots,
a ring.
From the Advisor:
Robe,
Dagger,
Bone from inside his left leg

Dark Whisper:
Her blood covered eye which is magical and is really her eye.

This all I found so far.

Found this, there were two wands from the Goblins.
With the quick eight-minute search of the village completed, the party had gained 25 pieces of gold, 2 possible wands and 2 large 10,000 plus bags of copper coins. The two possible wands were a strange find, as there had been no Shaman among the Goblins during the fight. Nevertheless as for anything else, of value the party came up with nothing.

We found some stuff when we were in the floating Castle.
Ulthok will work tlo figure out what they are.
I will go back and form a list, but I want to know for sure what the wooden wand we took from the goblins does. Wands can be quite handy.

Will we be able to get our wands fully recharged by these mighty Wizards?

I will want to restore healing potions too, at least to the number we had going into the Flying Castle.

Well if we have a chance to stop and do some healing I think I might have found something. I was looking it up a while ago and now I have to find it again. The healers have a real challange helping these two. It might take multiple healing spells in combination.

Oh BTW if you all want to survive.... protect the healers!!!!

Can we each get an amulet of "Feather Fall"????

Well in truth we assume Lady Jessica is dead...BUT...no proof.
She was wisked off by a Mind Flayer, dropping her sword.
Now Illithids usually drain their victums brain, but they do take slaves, sooooo....Lady Jessica could still be alive.

It's the Great, great,great,great,great.....something of Fuzzy Bunny!!!!!!!

Also Tann is right about the location being hidden, I went farther back in the story and found that part.

"But Allanan was no fool before his sudden disappearance, some believe at the hands of a group of assassins he had been seen with last, he imparted the secret of the Swords hiding place to only the other Valar yet untouched by Karza's evil, his only daughter. With her Dad gone, the great secret in her head, and no home to safely return to. she traveled alone for almost 1200 years her identity hidden from all. She found a home, fell in love, got married. Then watched as her husband was murdered right before her eyes by a band of roving Trolls, only by the grace of Odin and the fact the trolls did not know the secret she possessed did she escape. It was this that finally decided her to reveal her secret to one she hoped she could trust she. That person being myself , to you I present Althena Sunblayze Daughter of Allanan and my adopted daughter. The secret she holds may decide the fate of Trilogy if revealed to Karza, as such I sent you to rescue her, and you did not fail me. Now you know why other then my love for her why her rescue was so very important.

Would you believe that that was written 1/10/2006.

For those of you that want to retrace the sword finding adventure is starts on Page 13, that's right way back to Page 13. We are now on Page 234.

We are saying that we need to keep the location of the sword secret, but if you read back to the begining of Part 2 it was already known or at least very close.

The King now did tell them the means taken to provide them the fastest way to get to the coast.
First a flight once again by Pegasus to the port of Helms Dike to board a ship for travel through the Strait of Aladron, which bordered the Mainland and the island of Cirith Ungol, to the port city of Chard Rush on the coast of Ravenshorn. Then by horse which would await them purchased by advanced agents North to the river city of Star Falls within the Dwarven land of Erebor where they would have to purchase river boats and again move North. They would then follow the river through the lands of Erebor, Callahorn, Rodruin, and finally into Greymark. Through the Silver Mountains, across the Silver Lake, into the forests of Rodruin and into the woods of Greymark. The location of the final hiding place still kept secret from all for the moment. Though the boat trip did run close to the evil island the route was quicker then overland, and time as it had been in the search for Althena was of the essence.

So we don't want to be blabbing it but it does get discovered sometime.

Food for thought or even posting.

Subject: Yeah..But.....

When Ulthok heard Cor say again that they should destroy the sword if they had the chance he remembered the letter that Allanan had left, “You must now be it’s carrier and undo my mistake of hiding it, instead of destroying it.”

Acknowledging his friend and companion the Halfling said to Cor, “The destruction of the sword is the ultimate end of our quest and I remember from Allanan’s letter to Althena where he said to her to undo his mistake and destroy it…But I also remember where he said,” The draw of the sword you now bare became to strong for even I to resist. So I returned here and knowing the evil that I might do under it’s control I took up the sword, locking myself magically within this room. For even at the time I cut it from Karza’s hand it had entered my mind and planted the seed of it’s survival to this day.

The sword has much strength and we don’t have the skill or power to destroy it, we can’t even touch it without it corrupting us…. I fear that if we challenge Allanan he will defend the sword and not help us…. So I hope we can convince him to send us get back. We can then help Althena to finish this task as was our first plan….. We must take great care in whatever we do…. Now we need to rest and prepare… if using potions will be how we travel we need to figure how many are needed. Their use is dangerous and may be unpredictable when their magic ends.”

The mage then found an open bunk.

The party needs rest first so that will take a bit of time. We would normally meet and discuss the plan so the magic users can pick their spells. Then the magic users need eight hour to study and prepare them. We could ready to leave on the second day. I figure there will be some more interaction with the librarian and Cor may need to find a chapel to do his cleric thing. Sirene may want some time to find information from the elves. Lothor may want to clean his weapons and practice or study some fighting stuff.

Ulthok, Sirene and Aliya need to study. Cor, Rayne and Roan need to pray. The Paladin may need to pray too. The fighter needs what a fighter needs.

So depending on what Tann writes next the party should gather and discuss a bit. I tried to leave things open enough in my post for other ideas.

"Transportation to the location where Allanan will hide the sword is all we ask. Once airborne we will tell those who ferry us where to go. As for not changing the past, it has already been changed. The future we left had us as the last hope to stem the tide of evil that washed over the land. We know not if we were successful. It may be that changing the past is the only way to avoid a future where evil rules. I do not take lightly our charge to safeguard the realm of Trilogy."

Fearing the Librarian would again take Cor’s words as a threat Ulthok looked at Cor, “You always had such a way with words. .. Yes we need to change the past, but it’s only the past we did to get here. The choice of destroying the magic well using all of our gems is the only past we need to change…but we must return to near that moment to do that….Allanan may the only one powerful enough to do that. “

Looking back to Bannix, “ We must keep the location as secret as possible, the peace of 1200 years lay in the hiding of the sword and Karza’s minions never gave up their search. We cannot leave easy clues yet we must make haste….. but we also need rest and time to study to replenish our spells…. Kind sir, if lodging could to be supplied and provisions can be gathered then we may be ready to leave in as soon as two days time. Although Dragons could carry near all of us, I worry that their long lives and long memories might in this case not be our wisest mode of travel. Do you have any of the flying horses?” Ulthok smiled at Rayne, she had been a Pegasus rider and this would be natural to her. “We have at least one of us that is experienced in their handling and most of us have passengered on them before…..we do not have a past to change, but future to save. Our mission is still not complete and we must be allowed to return and complete it.”

The Silver Lake is a big landmark and we may want to stay out the forrest, but it may not be quite as wild....or it could be worse.

I'd say we don't want to give away the exact location either. We hitch a ride to open ground north east of The Silver Lake.

With a rest and recharge of spells before we leave swe could bulk up on some "Fly" spells and after our escort leave we fly to the mountain. Going over possible trouble is better than fighting through it. Also the fewer actions we have to take the less effect we have on time.

I may have Ulthok have private conversation with Cor about this.

Well if I don't hear from anyone, that is how my post will go.

We found the sword in Drow Mountain. The mountain is just north of Gygax in Graymark. We would want to help keep the location secret so we need transported near the mountain but not to the mountain. We could go to Pardot and then go up river to the mountain. We could to Gygax and hike in. We could go to Shiraka and hike in.

But we need to get to Allanan quickly because the sword is trying to control him and he had to lock himself in to stop from using it.

Rereading I think the party got more boats at Main by The Silver Lake to go down river to Drow Mountain.

If we can get transport to Gygax I think that would be close enough to hike in, we would still be able to come to the same side of the mountain as the party did the first time. Our exit through the giants caves many not be there yet.

Thoughts?

I don't think we would have chance to destroy the sword but we can get Allanan to send us back so we can finish our quest. He may be able to give us advice on what to do once we get back. But I don't think he will let us destroy the sword.

We might get him outside of Drow Mountain or even near the stronghold so he can send us back.

Subject: Oh No, Not Again........

OK..........
Well we need to figure how to get close to or even inside Drow Mountain. Keeper is the only player who has been through all the traps in Drow Mountain. I joined the game just as they had finished the last of the ten traps. So we may have to go through the traps again and several party members died doing that.

The last town mentioned was Star Falls in Erebor, if we teleported there we still have to fight our way to the mountain.

Now we will be facing a differernt magic because I'd say all the traps and creatures in the mountain had become corrupted by the long exposure to the evil sword. The magic traps will work differently so the same triggers used the first time most likely won't work now. Allanan's magic hasn't been corrupted so it will be strong.

Ulthok, Sirene, Cor and Rayne would have memories of the sword room if would be possible to do a direct teleport. But that in tough magic. I'd be happy to get to the ledge inside the massive cavern where Allanan's stronghold was.

So Keeper what do you think?

Ulthok continued his ruse as Roan’s son as they were brought to the castle.
When the party entered they found themselves the topic of some attention, if it was their manner of dress or seeing him loaded with weapons it was a 50-50 choice. The party was led to a dining hall received food. Many found a place to sit.

Ulthok found himself the center of the attention of a growing crowd of children. The mage had always enjoyed entertaining children and their curiosity, even after this heinous war, was a sign of hope.

As the young flocked around him Ulthok whispered quiet replies to their questions. The giggled stories of the children would be ignored by their parents, but someday the children may remember this meeting when again they may meet the progenitors of his race.

“Hi my name is Jaime, Kelly, Pud, Derrack, Gisale, Brady, Therian, Heb,”,,,,,,,,,,,,

“What is your name?”………….
You may call me Littleman.

“How old are you?”……………
Oh, much older than most of the humans would suspect.

“Are you human?, Dwarf?, mutated Elf? Are you a half & half?”………..
I am of a race not yet common among your people. My people are few and still may be hidden.

“Wow you have so much stuff”…..
Yes, collected over a life time.

“Why do you carry weapons?”……..
I must protect my friends.

“Why are you wearing adult clothes?……..

I am now an adult among my people.

“Where do you live? Is it still there? How far is it?”……………………….
The home that I knew is now very far away, I may never see it again.

In what seemed like hours but was only a few handfuls of minutes the children were ushered away by their parents or the servants. Ulthok smiled and waved as they left and was finally was able to eat the food upon his plate. He could feel Peri nudging him for something. She had wisely hidden herself in a cloak of invisibility. The mage took several apples for a bowl and sat them on the seat next to him. Had anyone been watching closely they would have wondered how they seemed to disappear.

After the meal and a short rest the party was summoned to the Wizard Librarian Bannix. When they had assembled before Ulthok felt the wave of magic as he probed them, perhaps to check their alignment. The Librarian dismissed the three guards stationed in the, but bade Baptist to stay. Then a second wave of probing was felt, this time Bannix spoke to the party. “You are not of this time. Strange teleport magic hangs about you, You come from another time. Who are you, why have you come, and from when, past or future?”..............

Cor spoke,"Sir, we are indeed from another time, the future. Best we can tell we are 1,200 years in our past. In our time we were given a quest to save Trilogy and that task was linked to what is happening in your time. We were to find the Iron Maiden, the sword Allanon is even now hiding, and destroy it. His daughter assisted us. We know not if we failed or succeeded in our task. But we must assume we failed and do what we can here to change the past to preserve the future. Is there any way to take us to Allanon?"

Then Rayne added,"We used some anti-magic gems, and everything went black. Next thing we knew, we all began to wake up in the middle of that battlefield over there."
Ulthok was pretty sure by now that Bannix knew they were on the side of good but he would still be cautious with what was revealed to the party.

Stepping forward Ultok lowered his hood, “Sir, I would guess that you have probed our alignment and surely you sense the presents of my familier… and you know I am not a child. Neither of our kind are known.” With that Peri appeared on his shoulder. “I am Ulthok Rydenham and this is Peri Thistledown, she a fey creature and I am known as Halfling. In another hundred years or so we will be common. I reveal ourselves to you so as to gain your trust.”

Then turning toward Cor, “But I believe we need to get back to own time as quickly as possible without affecting this time. Small things we do here could have very undesired effects over such a long period of time. We may have already make changes by saving Sir Moramee. It will take great magic to send us back so you are right we must find Allanan.”

I hope we can find a safe place to rest. We need to redo our spells and such. We need to find out how to find a way to warp back through time. Maybe the wizards can send us to an Oracle. If we make to Allanan I think we can tell him the truth, backed up with the information about where he hides the sword. But it needs to just be him and it should be Cor, Sirene, Rayne and Ulthok because the others weren't there. Lothor was in the mountain but not in the party when we found the sword. Cor and Sirene need to set the pace and take the lead. Ulthok would reveal himself as a Halfling to Allanan. I promise Ulthok will be good,.... for a while anyway.

But we'll just have to see where this encounter leads.
