Well Reralae this could be a good place to step in as negotiator. Time to redirect the plan, look for the benefit to all. How can you turn this to our advantage.

We risk a lot going against Badger, the Baron and Steele. We need a classic "Sting" idea to get everyone what they want and still keep living.

So maybe a shift in attitude to business woman is called for.

Love that Red Button!

Now I thought Wembley would press the first Yellow and see what happened. Then Dudley presses the second "My Turn!!!" then Wembley get to push the Red.

But I guess Wembley's fingers are too fast.

Be happy that you can claim such a friendship, many of us can't. Morn as needed to settle your spirit.

Dudley had seen Wembley also move toward the great chair, but he knew luck was with him as he reached it first. Taking a regal pose the cleric smiled down on his subject as the little rogue paused before him.

“You look good there... how does it feel?” Before Dudley could really answer, Wembley was already scrambling up. “I want to try!”

"Sure thing," the little cleric piped. "For us there is plenty of room two." With that Dudley scooted to one side and made room for Wembley. "We can rule together, the more the merrier!....I wonder if this comes with magic serving people too?"

Dudley felt lucky to have so much food now available for the party, they could now move on. As he passed through the portal he recognized being back in the wine room, but his pack didn’t feel right. A quick look showed that the food had disappeared. “Who, that not a good thing. Lucky we still have a little left from before.”

Gamard spoke up, turned to the rest of the group. “We should go back and follow those rats. Sooner or later we’re going to bump into them and I’d rather have the benefit of surprise than be a victim of it.”
"I'm with you, Gamard," Wembley piped in then continued babbling. With that followed he Gamard. Then rest of the party followed. Dudley hoisted the pack and joined them.

But instead of returning to the dinning room they entered a glorious throne room. “How lucky to know that these ways don’t reverse. And look at the throne.” Dudley headed for the thone, “I’ve always wondered how it would feel to be a king.” The cleric heard Ivan talking but with the throne in his sites he really didn't hear what he said. Dudley started toward the great chair, bounded up the stair and plopped down, grinning broadly at Wimbley.

I'm two rooms behind in posts.

I hope to catch up tonight. I fell asleep last night at 730 and woke up at 11 and went to bed. Gosh isn't my life exciting?

I like the chart, are we going to work it into a post so the party can use it as a reference? I'd ay that we found writing stuff in with the paper that had the food words on it so we'd be able to create a reference.

Subject: Limper............

Limper seems to have cast Stoneskin. He is high level so he has a lot of attack left. So in order to do him in he has to be hit a lot! But things like magic missles count as a hit for each missle.

Stoneskin
Level: 4 Schools: Alteration
Range: Touch Components: V, S, M
Duration: Special Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw: None

When this spell is cast, the affected creature gains a virtual immunity to any attack by cut, blow, projectile, or the like. Even a sword of sharpness cannot affect a creature protected by stoneskin, nor can a rock hurled by a giant, a snake's strike, etc. However, magical attacks from such spells as fireball, magic missile, lightning bolt, and so forth have their normal effects. The spell's effects are not cumulative with multiple castings.

The spell blocks 1d4 attacks, plus one attack per two levels of experience the caster has achieved. This limit applies regardless of attack rolls and regardless of whether the attack was physical or magical. For example, a stoneskin spell cast by a 9th-level wizard would protect against from five to eight attacks. An attacking griffon would reduce the protection by three each round; four magic missiles would count as four attacks in addition to inflicting their normal damage.

The kid had charged after the mercs as they fled the area of the shuttle. These were hard core veteran killers but Ash was consumed. At first he was able to rapidly drop two but the 11 to 1 odds were starting to turn against him. The remaining soldier started to fire on him and he had to hit the dirt. But as the saying goes that even a blind squirrel find a nut and Asher’s nut was seeing the merc starting to grab their heads. From his comm. Ash heard John’s voice, “The mercenaries should have a very bad headache right now. Hopefully debilitating. Best I can do, make use of it. *sputter* *sputter* *Fhooosh* “Ummm ... Not sure how long it will last so you may wish to act in haste!!”

The kid took that seriously and reeked revenge on the downed mercenaries. But not all had been affected, this realization came to Asher as a grenade landed at his feet. Reflexes took over and the kid dove and rolled. The exploding grenade sent shrapnel pieces through his body armor and the concussion had him reeling. The kid knew he was hurt.

With his ears ringing and the pain searing in his side tried to regain his bearings as a dark shadow loomed over him. The roar of engines pierced the ringing and Asher saw an ASREV that opened up on the Corvette. From the belly of the craft a man fell out and landed with a hard thud on the ground near him. He was in full armour and he did not waste time opening fire on the mercenaries. Then another landed with a huge gun and the two of them laid waste around them.

“Hudson! Cover me!” The one called out in a feminine voice. The other man moved to firing wide with his two guns and the other ran to Asher side while still firing at the enemy.

“Hi. I’m Lieutenant Vasques and I’m here to rescue you. Ooo, aren't you just a cool glass of water on a hot day. You're part of the crew of the Naughty? You hurt? I can duct-tape patch you but we need any gun hand we can get.”

Asher smiled up at the woman with dark hair, dark skin and dark eyes. Even in that suit of armor the kid could tell she had a body of someone who worked out a lot and dressed to show it. There was a smokey sensuality in her eyes and stance. An angel with big guns had dropped out of the sky to save him. Asher was about to say something when a sound came on his comm. It wasn’t a voice, but someone keying the mike. Three short pulses, three long, three short and three long again.

That was the code Trish used on the comm. Ma was alive but it meant she was in trouble.!

The kid keyed him comm., “Ma”, he blurted.

Vasques raised an eyebrow, “Excuse me? You must be more hurt that you look.”

Asher refocused his look on the Lieutenant, “No, Ma.. she was in the shuttle.. she’s still alive…I’ve got to get to her.”

The kid tried to get up but the wounds caused him to falter. The Fed reached out to steady him, “Whoa there cowboy you’re going to need a little something to get you back on your pins.”

Asher grumbled,” Where’s Doc McGuire when you need him?”

“Who?” the Lieutenant quarried.

“Oh, back on Regina a girl put three slugs in my back, Doc patched me up and then gave me something that got me back in the game.”

Vasques pulled a med from its armor casing. She applied a compression bandage to Asher’s wounds to stop the bleeding. Then she pulled out a hypo-spray while drawing out a vial. Slipping the vial into the holder she shot three consecutive doses into Asher’s neck.

*PAFF*
*PAFF*
*PAFF*

Within seconds the surge passed through the body. “Oh yeah…that’s it.”

“Thank you Lieutenant…I’ll be back as soon a Ma is safe, save some of that Yi Dwei Da
Buen Chuo Roh for me.. I gotta score to settle.”

Vasques looked at the bodies oozing blood from the bullets Asher had put through their skulls, “Well you got a good start.. hurry back we need a shot like you.”

The kid nodded, then headed double time back to the shuttle.

I'm just suggesting we do it more like around table. We aren't able to say "north" accurately but we will know landmarks.

And how do we know you aren't planning to starve us. We'd have to figure out that the food is only good in that room. The ones eaten by the rats may have been too weak to defend themselves any more. And didn't get to the table quick enough to get food for energy to fight. Or they just gave up.

Well the food from the first room did not disappear and the weapons did not disappear so this seems to be more a room by room thing.

The items the bodies had in the tent could have come from other rooms.

So we should figure what stays and what goes. If we get back to room one then that food can travel and if we plan revisits to replenish then we have travel food. Provided the food in that room replenished.

And why couldn't we just leave the whole place by going back out the door we came in from the island?

As we go room to room we don't have a indication as to which direction it is. No compass to show North. we can only reference a room by room list or map like you started.
Leave dinning room from left of table enter blah blah room at blah blah at fireplace end. Only OOC do we know directions of north and south.

I didn't hear back from Van so I hope the few words I put in Angela's mouth were ok. I guess I could have had Jon talk to Tess instead if I over stepped. That thought didn't come to me until today. I was trying to build more interaction between Jon and Angela. Jon is building confidence and trust in Angela's actions.

I could still shift that conversation if Van feels I did over step.

That was a very important piece of information. I would have taken a while longer of going room to room to even figure that much out.

But our character don't have enough information yet to assume that.

Now is this wine room where we met Ivan and if we went down the stairs we would be back at the wine ninja room. I'd say we should start making a map of the room and portals to allow us to plan our route better.

I vote to follow Gamard back through the way to see if it does take us back to the dinning room.

Well I can see trying to go back through the portal to see if we return to the dinning room, but there is no way of knowing that we are going back there until Al writes it up.

These portal may just random sequence to other locations. We could pass through and be right back where we started.

So Al if we follow are we going back to the dinning room?

Destiny Galley Day Two of Journey. 10:00 am ST

A sight clamor had seemed to be coming from somewhere in the ship. Jon closed his eyes. In a few moments it was followed by a light rumble of what might be running. He could swear he hear excited voices. The captain almost got up, but he remembered seeing Tess, Angela and JC in the galley. “They’ve got it covered.”

Just as he started to take another leisurely sip of his coffee a roar bellowed came out of the ship’s comm.
, "JON!!!!! WHERE IN THE GORRAM HELL ARE YOU!!!!!???????" Steph had summonsed.

Long ago Jon had given up on the standard ship’s protocols. He actually couldn’t even remember hearing Stephanie call him Captain, not even when she had treated him in the hospital. Well he still needed to appear to the passengers that he was in charge.

Jon straightened his shirt as he stepped out the lift and made his way to the galley. Striding into He’d tried to keep the look of dismay off his face as he scanned the disarray.

Seeing the satisfied look on Angela’s face and the dismay on everyone else’s Jon could figure that his new ship’s mate had slipped into protection mode again. Jon had walked alone the back alleys of Beylix seedy side looking for a friend; JC had been pretty bad shape when he’d found him and most likely didn’t see Angela in action. Even though Grace and Tess knew a bit about Angela’s talents neither had seen her move before.

Looking over the setting, Jon harrumphed at Seth on the floor and then stepped over to Angela, "What happened here, give me the facts." Angela then in her detailed style reported. She explained about Lillianna's breakdown and Seth entering the room weapon drawn endangering the crew, ship and passengers. She finishes by saying "I subdued the aggressor and neutralized the situation." Jon then will look back Seth and the battery pack turn on the floor then back to her, he smiled and said "Good work".

Jon turns to the crew and passengers. By then Tess was returning with the med kit for Steph.

“Rick, AJ would you be so kind as to help the good Doctor when she is finished here and carry this man to the sick bay?”

“Doctor”, he said with emphasis and respect, “please call JC when Seth regains consciousness.”

“JC… when Seth is able to understand please remind him again of the dangers of carrying weapons onboard a freighter and that his cooperation to leaves these in safe place would be appreciated."

Jon then walked to the kitchen area, refills his cup, sitting down at the table next to the mess and the still quaking Lillian he says, “Now would be a good time to tell us everything.”
