ok, I'm still out of town and have bad internet connection.

Have set my laptop up in an upstairs hallway to poach my sister-in-laws's neighbors internet.

a lot of stuff from Tann to digest so we can move on. Sirene seems in a bad way and she's our big asset while all of her skill and spells.

Need ideas. This may not be easy, but if we are creative it can work.

Subject: Hope...............

Sirene’s spell of Knock had worked to get the party past the iron doors that the thief could not open. Quickly checking for traps on the other side Ulthok found none, but he did discover that this was a prison room. Bared cells lined the room, some occupied. Here a human that seemed driven to insanity, a beaten Dwarv and three Orcs that had been severely lashed.
There were empty cells too. One have a white shawl and shoes and one with just a bed that disheveled. Searching there the open cell he found hidden within the cots bedding was a small leather strap, a strap that he had given to a certain female companion. Turning to the rest of the party a hopeful smile on his face he announced.

“Valene was kept here”......................
The mage brought it out to the group, Cor examined the strap and white clothing. It was determined they must question these prisoners to find out more. Dividing the group they went to the cells to ask the prisoners what the knew of the small Halfling and the prisoner that had left the shawl.

Ulthok and Roan went to the Orcs, being Ulthok spoke Orcish if needed. Aliya and Weaver to the madman and Cor and Sirene to the last that held the Dwarv.
Lothor stood with Rayne, as the party knew she sworn against them and he helped to persuade her from harming them before they could gather information.
Roan offer the Orcs curing in hopes of getting them to speak more freely.
Ulthok did his best to hold back, his hoped raised that Valene might be found, but he couldn’t show that to the Ocrs.

“You three “, he said in Orc, “Tell me of girl that was held here, was she harmed? Where was she taken? How long ago was she taken? Who was in the other cell? Were they taken with the girl? Is there a passage to where they taken? “ Ulthok realized he was blasting forth many questions and slowed himself. He hoped the other would gather information and that maybe the Enchantress might be to help with the Orc too.

(OOC: We are about leave so I got this up. Hope I find some WIFI to keep up.)

I don't think we've had time to read anything in the new books. You would have to post that you are reading and walking to be able to say anything and it usually take 8 hours study to master new spells from books. It hasn't been made clear just what we were able get from the library.

That could work, knowing why they are in the cells can lead us to help them to help us.

I was just trying to save time. We sort of have Lothor and Rayne guarding while the rest of us are try to get information.

Aliya and Weaver question the madman. Cor and Sirene do the Dwarv and Ulthok and Roan question the Orcs. Sirene may be need to help with the Orcs. But by spliting it up it allow each of us to post and keep the story moving. Roan may want to search the room and Weaver could look for secret doors.

I hope to be able to get on line while we are away. If I can't I'll call Tann to let him know so he can keep you all aware. That's were Nimu may need to question the Orcs too if I can't get on to post.

I set up Weaver and Aliya to question the madman. Just post as if he seems calmer from the euphic gas. Tann will deside if we get anything. But if we don't ask we won't find out.

Roan should be ready to cast a cure light wounds on the Orcs to prove we are not going to kill them in cold blood. That could make them more willing to help.

We still need to pack tonight and I'd really like to make a post to give you something to buildon, but I'd say we have a general plan so go ahead an make posts. Something is better than nothing.

Using leading questions is the standard way to interigate. Asking "Who" was in the cells. Ask them to Describe the prisoners and ask where they were taken and which way they went and how do we get there.

We can say that we are looking for Valene. If they took both together them it makes sense for us to be going after them.

I agree about not saying we are looking for the Queen, but want to know who had been in the cells.
----------------------------
Maybe Cor can use a cure light wounds spell on the Dwarv to get his cooperation.

The party made its way into the room behind the metal door. There in the room were cages, cages holding people and the ugly things. One cage had a small person like Ulthok’s friend Cor. One held a big angry person that jabbered and yelled and did mean things toward them.

The human had rage in his eyes and would surely harm the party if he were to escape that cage, but Peri could see the pain there too. She fluttered to bars of the human’s cell, stay just far enough away that he could not reach her.

“You need your sadness eased.” With that the Faerie Dragon blew a puff into the tortured humans face. (Peri blows euphoria gas at the human.)

As the cloud settles over the man Peri turns to Weaver, “Maybe if he is calmer you can ask him for help.”

BTW.. I got our internet back. So I hope to post something tomorrow.

I would guess the basic questions will do. If there is no objections then I'll figure on the direction from Cor and have Ulthok start on the Orcs.

Oh you do have all the fun stuff Nimu.

Schnozz, you'll do fine. Just remember we save the good queen and kill the bad queen, while destroying the floating castle we are in. Easy, right!

Topic: Trilogy War Q/A
Subject: Stone Floor?

Need to know if this room has a stone floor. The spell says the stone needs to be touched and the Queen may not have touched the walls.

Sirene has the most spells ready of anyone so she would be the most logical to do the casting.

I'd think to save time we might need to interrogate then all about the same time. We can switch up as needed.

Cor and Sirene might start on the Dwarv.
Ulthok and Roan on the Orcs.
Aliya and Weaver on the mad man. (Weaver could relate. lol)

Lothor keeps Rayne in check.

I'd say we confer and a group in character under Cor's direction. There he suggests the questions to be asked and then we each ask our prisoners. We can add questions as we see fit but that way we cover that basics.

So we should list questions here in Q&A and agree so Sir Sadaar can post them. It would be nice to be able to dialog with the prisoners but that would require Tann to address each question separately and create a rolling post.

We do that in table top but it's a bit tougher here.

This is a non combat encounter so far so it could work. It will just take a while to work through it.

And with me out next week Tann or someone could play Ulthok as the questioner. Just don't use any of his spells.

I may be able to follow on my company phone next week if my sister-in-law has a neighbor that has Wi-Fi I can access. She doesn't have internet.

And I might be able to call Tann and have him act for Ulthok.

Subject: The Madness...........

If we can't cure the madness of the big human then we most likely won't get anything useful from him. But if we can get it to talk we may get something.

As for the Orcs, they are now a very important source for information. They need questioned. If they were brutalized by their companions we may get them to help as an act of revenge. Just remember they are the sworn enemy of Rayne so that adds a complication. Mischief can gain XP in roll play by reacting to them. It can also make good story. If she get out of hand Peri may have to puff her too, lol.

The Dwarv is very important too.

-------------
Stone Tell? I've never heard of that, but it sounds promising. This is the first clues we had to help find the Queen so I'm open to trying it. Your Wizard Sight worked so you are making great choices.

Do you think Peri's breath weapon putting the human in an euphoric state might cool the madness enough to get some information?
BTW.. My home internet went out yesterday so I couldn't can't post from home. I will away for a week without internet so I'll try to at least get some intentions up today while I'm a work that can be NPC'd by Tann.

We are off tomorrow so I'll be away from my work computer. Hopefully my internet will be fixed today.

Subject: We Need To Learn..............

We really need to get as much information from these captives as we can.

Ulthok knows Orc and so does Sirene, but we need to keep Rayne from killing them before we can talk to them.

We need to find out if they know to whom the shawl and shoes belong. Do they know if it is the Good Dragon Queen?
How long ago did they take her away?
Where did they take her?
Did they take Valene with the Queen?
Is there passage to get there?

Why are the Orcs being held?
Can we use them?

Ok, what else do we need?

Without having gone back to read what abilities folks have I'll ask. Does anyone have tracking or able to locate thingss?

We have the shawl and shoes so maybe a spell or sniff? (Rangers, Bards)

I'll check mine too.

Can anyone figure how to talk to the barbarian?

Should we let the Dwarv out?
Maybe Cor can speak to him for information?

Of course Ulthok will make a little fuss over Valene's things.

Dudley was prepare to use his mace on the swimming bugbear but it exited the water by Mal and Crow. As they dispatched the soggy creature Dudley became aware of Grem floating in the pool as Wembley shouted and jumped in the water.

The Cleric watched the Cid attempt to rescue the injury Dwarv. “Garmard, come on now,” he said gently. “Battle’s over. You want a massage? The lass is all ready at the table...” Then Dudley heard the little mage call for assistance.“Dudley, quick! Help me!”

Although the water hadn't been to deep for the bugbear it was substantial for the Cids and the Dwarv. Dudley dropped his mace ran to the edge of the pool nearest the floundering companions. Laying flat on the floor Dudley reached out with his pole sling, stretching to get it in the hand of Wembley. "Luck for you I picked a pole sling, grab hold, I'll pull you to safety."

Seeing the blood in the water Dudley knew they would quickly need to attend to Garmard.

It wasn’t anything new for Grace, Tess and Jon to go at it unfiltered, they had earned the right through their time together. It could be considered as dysfunctional, but they were family. The was still getting use to so it wasn’t unusual for Tess to step in.

“Whoa. Okay. That’s enough both of you. “ She then went on to support both opinions and hand out potential assignments when each could continue to gather information. Even the Captain, “Then Jon here can pump the Wedding planner for information.”

Jon grimaced, “Nicely put!”

“I’m kidding. Jon can make some inquiries and try playing sly with her to see if she wants more than his body. C’mon. It is late or early as you may want to call it and we all need sleep. See what tomorrow brings us with some luck.”

With that the meeting was over. Everyone filed out of the room. Stephanie closing the door behind them. “What shall we do now?” she said as she lowered the lighting in the room. “I believe I owe you an apology or two?”

Jon saw the twinkle in Stephanie’s eyes and knew what ever had been bothering her seemed to have been answered.
------------------------
Jon lay quietly as Stephanie slept nestled in his arms. He couldn’t help but feel a bit selfish, he was back on Destiny, Tess and Grace are here and he had Stephanie to share it all. At least for a while Jon felt peace.
-------------------------------
Jon could smell the coffee as he entered the galley. Catie was busy seeing to the needs of the passengers. Things seemed to be well in hand so he grabbed cup and then headed to the bridge.

The party left the library and continued along the hall finally coming to an iron door, a locked iron door. It seemed to the thief that there must be something important in that room if it required the door to be locked. Although the mechanism look different than any he had seen before, a lock was a lock and it needed to be picked. The tumblers and actions did not respond to his experienced touch. So in a bit he turned to the party to shrug.

That was when Weaver came forward to try. Ulthok had not remember the bard being skilled with locks but lent him his tool and watch as the storyteller fumbled along.

Ulthok leans in over Weaver’s shoulder to watch and heard,”A little to the left… now flip that one, yes that will be a good burger.” Weaver looks back at Ulthok, ‘What?” the two exchange a smile.

It is then a soft female voice is heard from the group, "Men."

The bard stands and turns to the group, he then looks at Uthlok and simply says, “We should knock.”

Uthlok pauses and then agrees. "Of course!"

Knock, the mage hadn’t thought of that . The spell would open the door, but he had not prepared the spell. Weaver then turns to the door and raises his hand. Uthlok clears his throat. Weaver looks down and Uthlok shakes his head no.

Turning the party the Mage asked, “Has any of you prepared Knock?
