With a bit of pulling and lifting Dudley was able to get Gam out of the water. It was lucky to have Wembley aiding. It was also lucky they were dealing with a Khord, once started there wasn’t that much to pull out of the water.

Grem soon was on his feet healing himself. Dudley was glad to see that as he was low on spells and need time to pray to again have Shinara’s full blessings.

As others attend to the remaining attacker Dudley busied himself preparing to rest. The other were better at handling that sort of thing and besides it didn’t sound as if it would be that pleasant. Taking the pack he removed food and drink for the party so they might revive themselves. When he looked back to the where Gamard and others had been questioning the bugbear the creature was stretched out and must have died. Dudley waved the others over to share in the meal and then found a place rest and say his devotions.

Dudley awoke from a sound rest and didn’t even remember falling asleep. Saying another pray to Shinara to thank her for the good fortune to find such a peaceful place to rest; at least after those hairy creatures had been dealt with. Dudley packed up the supplies and again readied himself to follow this band on the search of other good fortunes.

I got that.

I want more views of the ship. Beside being helpful, it's cool art.

BTW, you must have found that art work of Destiny, where did it originate? Would love to see other views of it.

I don't think a shuttle exists for it, but that would be cool too. I am guessing that the interior views were modified for the room layouts we are currently using. It would be fun to go look at the original concepts.

The POV of the other shot was good but the shuttle access doors are up on the left and right at the top of the stairs. You can almost see the one on the left.

That other POV I'd guess is from the cargo bay ramp area.

So as I said, do you have more?

Wow that is neat. Where did you find the POV view? Is there a virtual walk though of a Firefly available?

Trying to find shows to view to try and catch a glimpse of ship area is tough.

Also, now that the Mercs seem to be headed to the caves and intend to blow up the Roc wouldn't they call back their men before they blast the ship? So any invaders should be retreating to safer ground.

The shuttle went into and end over end flip. Asher mooring to the shuttle snapped and he was thrown clear of the shuttle as it tumble and crashed it way across the plain and to a crumbled stop. Asher was still up and walking, he was not really that hurt and still had his guns but what about Ma?

Growing up on range had taught the kid how to take a fall from a moving object. First it was when he’d try to ride the calves while they were still small and frisky, then he moved on to the horse they had to break to ranch work.

Being tossed rump over tea kettle was just part of the daily routine. So when the strap broke and the kid found himself flung through the air he was able to quickly tell which way the ground was coming at him.

The tried and true tuck and roll came as a natural reflex and Asher was nearly able to flip back to his feet. Steadying himself he saw the shuttle continue on it’s violent tumble. “Ma!”, he shouted and kicked into a dead run for the shuttle. He couldn’t know if the systems on the shuttle would still be working but hit his comm anyway. “Ma….. I’m com’in….hold on!!!!” With that the kid closed on the little ship, heading to the nearest open port; he hoped the smoke was just from canister he’d planted.

For the transmitter to activate the devices in the Mercs is it a special tramitter or will any do if it is tuned to the ferquency? Does Nancy have the Freq aand codes?

My thought is even if John figured it out could Tess and the marshall just get to other shuttle and transmit from that comm unit?

If it needs the transmitter that John has made can the codes be told to him over the comm?

I was thinking of writing up Tess and Nancy heading for Trish and Asher's downed shuttle to transmit to John. The other thought was Tess using her personal comm to have Nancy tell John.

I need to know which they are closer to, the Roc or the shttle.

If they can't tranmit the codes by comm they have to get back to the Roc and fight their way in to John.

As the door opened Peri lighted off Ulthok shoulder to rise up for a better view of the room. She had turned invisible as it was her nature.

From her lofty height she could see the gathered being around the table. They seemed so intent on what they doing, “Too much thinking must be so tiring for poor things,” she thought and released a spell of confusion on those around the table. She moved away toward the corner as she saw Ulthok raise his ward, she’d remember the bound back of Sirene’s spell and did wish to take that chance some might rebound. There she hovered ready to move in and give what she could.

Subject: Through The Door...............

The party left the jail room by the west door following Sirene’s suggestion. Ulthok again lead as he checked for traps and dangers. The Halfling knew they’d be in combat again soon so as they moved down the hall he shared thoughts with the little blue dragon fluttering on his shoulder.

“Peri… we’ll coming to another room…you need to be ready to …well attack. Those mind flayers got to us before we could react and I couldn’t help you.”

Peri gave Ulthok a little peck on the cheek,”Oh silly Rydenham….they’ll never see what hit them.” Ulthok felt the peck, but when he looked there was nothing but a light pressure on his shoulder.

No sooner had they finished when they turned a corner and another door stood at the end of the hall. Checking the door there were no traps. Ulthok waited for the party to catch up. Without making a sound he indicated that everyone prepare for anything, they needed enter ready to attack. He drew the Wand of Frost.

Although they were trying to save the dwarv they had found it was evident the there was no fight left in the poor creature. He waved the little man forward, whispering “Friend..you pull the open for us and stay here until it is clear to follow.” The man seemed to understand and grabbed the handle swinging the door into the hall.

Ulthok lead the party through the door.. there stood two yellow face Githyankis guarding to the left and right of the door. Eight more of the strange fighters were lined up as in two rows a short distance past the two on his left.

Roan and Lothor moved in to his right and he could see more creatures in the room. They had stumbled into the War Room. Several well armored being gathered around a large talbe in the center of the room and group of Orc milled to the right. Ulthok knew if he hesitated to study the rest of room he’d lose the element of surprise and the Giths would phase away. He had to leave the rest to his companions. So at nearly point blank range on the two guards to the left he released freezing power of a Cone of Cold over them and on to eight standing beyond.

The party poured into the room past him and took up the attack.

Well here's what Ulthok will do. I had said earlier in suggestion post.

Ulthok uses his wand and shoots a Cone of Cold through 15,16, over to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7&8.

These Gith are all in a line of fire for the Cone. Cold has worked well for Ulthok in the past and also allows our party to move forward.

So I'd say claim your tatgets and go for it. But a coordinated attack would be best. So I figure you all will rush into the room an blast away. So someone claim the Orcs, someone claim the middle table, someone claim the ones in the back. Melee guys take out 13 & 14 Gith and kill what ever gets in our way!

We just got a clue to the hooded ones. Seems less likely to be friendlies now. See less like to protect them.

Now Cloud Kill won't be work so well if we are in the room too, lol.

We need to choose wishly if we have at least one more HEAVY fight ahead.

Subject: Well....

It could go something like this.

Lothor hits Gith 14.

Roan hits Gith 13.

Ulthok uses his wand and shoots a Cone of Cold through 15,16, over to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7&8.

Aliya hit Orc guards 1-8 with Fire Ball.

Rayne hits Orcs at the table with power arrows.

Nimu has sooo much I'll let her pick her poison. But here are some ideas, an area effect on the Gith by the back door, a Lightening Bolt to the Big Gith. (I think the Gith need to go quick before they can react by phasing to attack us.)

Niamedris can enlarge and attack the Human in Good armor, the Hold spell will leave it vulnerable.

Peri can cast Confusion on the group at the table to slow their reactions. She'll see them right away because she is with Ulthok.

Weaver could Fireball the Gith at the back door.

Cor can throw Hold Person on the Human in Good Armor.

Xin stays safe with Aliya, if we had an extra Enlarge spell we could make him big and a melee fighter.

So there one option! It may have holes I have seen, so please give out more ideas.

I only know what Ulthok and Peri would do, so you guys need to figure out what you would really like to do.

Subject: Blade Barrier..............

The Gith can phase out of the barrier so it's not good on them. Casting it around the Orcs and then fireballing them would trap them unless they make thier save.

Them swords of Roans are mighty and attacking with Lothor against the guys at the table would be good.

Subject: Xin...???

Did you get Tann to clarify "etherealness "? If it is what I think that's where he can take some of us to another plane.

Xin's strength could be communicating with animals and maybe stelth to find stuff or help. I'd think you should keep him safe and a support to Aliya.

But play him as you see fit.

Topic: Trilogy War Q/A
Subject: Battle Stations.........Hot and Cold.....

We have been given a bunch of clues in both Tann's writing and on the map. The zinger is the two hooded characters. They could be the White Queen and Valene or the Evil Queen and a henchman.

We know that the Gith can plain shift to avoid and to attack, so consider those actions and we should hit them first. Flames could be a good start. Ulthok could cast out Burning hands on the Gith by the door. Someone Fire Bomb the Orcs, Cone of Cold to freeze the Gith by the map (don't want to burn the maps) and Fire ball to the back of the room on the Red Robes and door guards. Now how do we do that or something similar.

Rayne power arrows in the other characters at the table, I'd say take out the large Gith first and the other Gith next.

Lothor could charge the Orcs on the side of table nearest to party.

I'll look over spell tonight after work.

So there's my rough attack idea, any other thoughts.

Subject: Onward..................

Ulthok had briefly hoped the Orcs may have seen a chance to escape their cell by giving them information, but they stayed true to their nature. Even being imprisoned by their own kind to await sure death didn’t curb their foul humor, “You ask of the small one like you, ha! We three ate her, which is why we were punished. Come small one let us make a snack of you too, for the female small one roasted very well in BBQ sauce”.

The thief knew it was just a taunt, but it still angered him. So when Roan’s offer of Odin’s grace was also rebuked and Rayne's arrow exploded the creatures head Ulthok took some satisfaction. “ Well wake up He Who Never Sleeps and say hello for us!”

Turning he saw Sirene eyeing Rayne; Ulthok guessed the enchantress had been plying something on the Orc.

The mage guessed they’d get nothing more from the Orcs so he followed Sirene as she moved on to the Dwarv. There Cor had cast a minor curing spell on Dwarv in the cell to ease his pain. Then the Dwarv opened his mouth to reveal that his tongue was gone and he couldn’t answer the questions.
Ulthok started to examine the lock of Dwarv’s cell as Sirene moved on the raving human.

Moments later the Enchantress collapsed, Weaver caught her and cradled her. Ulthok, as a mage, knew the risks of casting spells, there is always the chance of something going wrong and this looked real bad for Sirene.

Ulthok saw the look of concern on Weaver’s face. The wildness so often in his eyes was replaced with the focus few had seen. The Halfling sensed something terrible was happening to the female druid but almost as quickly as it started the Enchantress opened her eyes and touch Weavers arm.

"I am alright, dear friend. And thank you, from the bottom of my being, thank you."

Regaining her poise Sirene stated, "Keep your distance from that man. He is beyond our help. What we seek was here and left not long ago. We must move quickly from this place."

Then to the imprisoned Dwarv, “Friend of the mountain, come with us. I cannot promise you freedom, but I can offer you a chance. ……Ulthok, do what you can to release him from this prison. More than any other, he deserves a chance for retribution against the mistress of this wretched place.”

So as Sirene directed the others to move out through the west door Ulthok and plied the lock. (assuming he opened the cell.) Helping the Dwarv from the cell Ulthok caught Cor, “Better open that bag, this man needs something more to fight in than just his undies.” When bag opened Ulthok pulled out the Elvin Studded Leather +3 armor and weapons. (2 +3 Daggers , Elvin Studded Leather +3 (assume it will size itself)Boots (assume they will size themselves). He pulled a +2 Sling w/50 +4 Bullets, “You know Cor you don’t use that mace to often and this sling is more my style… I’ll lend him Idrenal, (+2 Short Sword SM/Med:1d6+3 LG:1d8+3 #ATKS:1/1.(doubles all damage from backstab)you could lend him a real dwarven weapon."

The Dwarv dressed and they followed out the west door.

(OOC: Nimu had called dibs on the Boots of Elvinkind..so... let's just say she got them earlier and left a pair of boots that will fit the Dwarv.)

The "Staff of Curing (14 Charges Remaining)" isstill in the bag if that was Amara's. That would make the boots hers too.

I was thinking Amara's things went Aliya.

Sirene could trade boots, take the Boots of Elvinkind and give the Dwarv her current boots.

Where you wrote "With a quick recap of the images gained from the Orcs minds relayed she moved to the Dwarf as Cor begin his work." Does that mean she told the party what she saw?

This means we know the details before moving out of the room.
