Topic: D&d 3.5 Campaign: The Dungeon Q&A
Subject: Two things

First, from this list of races, could you help me know which ones are acceptable?
Second, as this is my first time using the Rule Based section of the forum, I may need a little help seeing as I can't find a character application I can fill out by searching for it on Google(by character application, I mean the character fill-out sheet for DND 3.5) other than PDF file that I can't use, edit, or open.

Topic: D&d 3.5 Campaign: The Dungeon
Subject: Interested

I'm interested in this, simply put. I have an actual copy of the rules, so if I were to get confused I could just look it up.
The one thing I question is the whole idea of no skills or items to start off with. For some reason it just bothers me a bit, and I don't know why.

Topic: Everyone Is John
Subject: Everyone Is John

OK, I understand that my last ideas weren't the greatest. That was part of the reason that I nearly left RDInn, there weren't many RPs at the time I was interested in, and none of my ideas were good enough to get attention(or I posted them during bad times apparently).
Speaking of getting attention, this little Roleplaying Game(not RPG, but in this case RP G, if that makes sense) seems to be lacking it, and it doesn't deserve to be ignored. Few people talk about it, and apparently not many people know about it, and yet I'm surprised there hasn't been a game of Everyone Is John yet on RDInn.
With not much idea on how to set this up, I would assume the game is Rule-Based(so I'm finally taking part in Rule-Based roleplaying) and to give a wide variety of options to the players I will leave the setting and time as vague as Earth and modern day.
According to the rules, you need One Notepad for each player, At least one D6, and Some kind of marker in abundance (Poker Chips work well).
First, you pick a name for your voice. Everyone playing as a voice chooses what they will try to make John do. This is called their Obsession. When they successfully make John do these things they earn points. These are divided into three categories, Leveled from one to three.

Level One: Simple, one-step things like eating candy, yelling in public, basically anything that only requires one roll.
Level Two: Slightly more complicated or dangerous tasks, things like collecting and throwing baseballs and running a mile in a new/stolen pair of shoes. These typically require slight planning, or at least 2 rolls.
Level Three: Okay, now we are getting serious. This is reserved for horribly diabolical/disgusting actions.

You keep your Obsession hidden from your opponents for more shock value, so don't give your Name, Obsession, or Specialties out on the topic.

Now you choose your two specialties. John is an overall very unskilled person; never been really good at anything, unless a voice tells him to do it. Any roll you are not specialized in requires a 6 on a D6 die. Actions you have a specialty for only require a 3+. You can choose 2 Specialties, or 3 with a penalty for the game. These skills should be at least slightly specific, things like "Everything forever" are not acceptable. Example skills would be:

Talking to adults
Talking to children
Eating in Excess
Assembling/Detonating Bombs
Lock picking
Performing (Dance, Singing, Instrument)

Then, you PM your Name, Obsession, and Specialties to me.

Everyone then receives 10 Willpower tokens (7 If you took 3 specialties)

I(as John) set the opening scene by telling the players where they are, this can be anywhere. A hardware store, a zoo, a school, an airplane over the pacific ocean. Players now "Ante up" some of their tokens, whoever offers the most loses the tokens offered (Other players keep their tokens), then gets control of John until they either earn points or fail a roll. Now you get out there and earn points, everyone gets back one willpower token when control is about to switch. Keep in mind that even while you are not in control, you can talk to John to achieve truly epic LULZ. Willpower can also be used to improve your rolls, each willpower spent increases the roll by one. so a normally 3+ roll becomes a 2+ with 1 token. It IS possible to make a roll automatically succeed this way. Again, everyone receives a token when control switches, up to their starting number.

The game ends when John dies or all Voices run out of willpower.

This is a PG-rated site guys, so you should choose your obsessions and specialties accordingly. This will most likely be a chat game, also.

Once again, if you have ANY questions, than just ask. I am reposting this after it was taken down for inappropriateness. I have fixed any problems, and given you any information I find that is needed for the game.

Subject: I would like to join...

...but, I need to know more about this. First, I can't download from 4shared, because you need to make an account, which is sometimes tedious. Plus, really, should we have to be forced to make an account? Can you put it on a different site, or are you only on 4shared? Plus,
Plus, I am interested in a Multiverse game, but it's still confusing as we know nothing about this besides the system it uses and what the game will most likely be about.

Topic: in the town of red dragon
Subject: This is interesting...

...but not a forum game, still. Here's what I think the Red Dragon Inn looks like.
Eol says he lives under the Inn, so it would of been built on solid ground. Maybe dirt. If it's a town, I'm not at the Inn, I would most likely be in the most south-eastern part of town where I'm just doing as I please. It explains why I'm not on that much, I'm kind of far away. Each building would be a home for an Inn member, so instead of an Inn, it would be more like a huge Motel. The shops would be located at the very back of what we call the Red Dragon Inn, which is the central part of this Motel, where you would check in, or register. The GMs and DMs(same thing) would have portals leading to their worlds in their rooms. A closed game would be a broken portal. When you step into these portals, you become the being you wanted when you signed up for the game, at the register(Red Dragon Inn). At the Red Dragon Inn is where special events occur, and is where Tcatt lives with his daughter. The whole area will have a Dragon Theme, and will be red, as in, Red Dragon Inn.

Topic: Ducktown recruitment
Subject: Yeah!

Time to bring this up with a new character!

Either Manic from the old Disney cartoon nobody but Sonic fans seem to remember, Sonic UnderGround, or...

Donald Duck. Though this is the cartoon version of DD, and I never played Kingdom Hearts, this is a dark world, so I may go for a Kingdom Hearts styled Donald Duck, that still is part of the Disney world, and has nothing to do with Final Fanstasy, if you know what I mean.

Hopefully, one of these 2 count.

Topic: Looking For a Freeform Game
Subject: I make freeform games!

But no one seems to join them...maybe I got a bad reputation with my first one, I don't give enough info., maybe people just think I suck. I would like you to join either:
Yume Nikki RP

Oracion RP

I really want to start soon. So, as long as I get one person, I will start the game, and hope more come. Could you help a guy out?
BTW, not many people make FreeForm games, so I would be happy to join any FreeForm game you make.

Topic: Oracion:The RP
Subject: Oracion:The RP

(uses Yume Nikki thread as a template)
Ok here is another idea I had. I am wanting to make a game of one of my own RPG maker games(though it's canceled now)... Oracion! Hehe...

BTW, if you don't know what Oracion is, I'll explain. In the game, it's said to be what makes up everything in the subatomic level. And all time paradoxes or anything that destroys space causes Oracion to grown, than disband as Apokeam, which is stopped by the first man to study the magical art of oracion, which he named after himself.

Apokeam is reverse oracion that shows destruction and death, and is the result of a paradox.

Now, to the game, the reason I would like to do this kind of thing is because the lack of posting and RPing. In Oracion, you would play as 3 kids of 3 powers:fire, water, and electricity. Their powers have nothing to do with their names, and their names were Joshua(Fire), Julia(Water), and Timothy(Electricity). Timothy falls in a well at the beginning of the game, and during their adventure to rescue him, they stumble upon a war between good and evil. Mothy(Master of the Hellish Yard) is after Oracio's staff so she can gain ultimate power, while Oracion is trying to keep her from finding it in fear that she could destroy the world when looking for it(she burns down a forest, just to make sure Oracion couldn't get to her). This is just the begining of the story.

This game already has a storyline, but I'm not forcing you to use the characters already made, they will be controlled by me, this is the new version:

After Timothy falls into the well trying to be mean once again to his brother, Joshua, and epically failing, Julia and Josh realize that they need to help him so they themselves don't get into any trouble, but they need help with saving him, so some new kids come to help them on their mission, meanwhile in the fight between Oracion and Mothy, they begin forming armies to fight so that they won't disbalance the force of good and evil, though why does Mothy care, no real reason. They begin looking for soldiers as the many kids journey's begins. Will the kids ever find there brother? Who will win, good or evil? And why can't I hire a narrator for this? Find out in the Roleplay!

Yeah, that did seem a bit cliche there at the end, but I threw that in just for fun :3

Anyways thats the basic background. I'm hoping a few people join Thanks! 5 people max for the main characters(Josh and Julia's team), for the soldiers, at most 10 people. No template for the characters until I hear people are interested.

Subject: Time for more Brighte

All Brighte did was say,"Yes, we have no questions." She did have questions, but it only regarded what Friend Computer said...and...well, why ask about that? All she cared was a new objective, and a new chance to make the other clones remember her more than just a snob in some ways... Still, she also wanted to forget about dying once, and she also wanted to hurry out of there. Still, she waited, almost feeling like passing out, she stayed in case someone was to ask questions.
No one asked yet.
