Its nice, Flirty.

I wonder if you were trying to have a set structure or not in the poem. It happens in a few of the stanzas, but not all of them. You can tell me "Shuddap Celeste! Its free form!" and that would totally satisfy me.

Katie is 5’7”, with flowing red hair and green eyes. She has a rather curvy frame, but stays fit due to her deep-seated childhood training. She dresses in a practical yet classy manner that usually includes plunging necklines.

Katie McDonnell grew up in Boston, under a roof of IRA sympathizers. At an early age, Katie’s parents put her through extensive training in handling firearms, making creative bombs, smuggling, torture methods and extortion. She picked up weapons with ease, and her parents encouraged her to hone her skills. Katie also got particular enjoyment out of blowing up mopeds.

In an effort to lead a more normal life, Katie picked up gambling. Cards were her game, although anything that she could bet on she enjoyed. She lavishly spent her money betting on horse races, hockey games, and illegal fighting matches. “Double or nothing,” was phrase often uttered out of her lips while out doing what she loved best. When she won, she won big. When her luck ran out, well, that was a problem. After a few run-ins with a couple of strong arms, Katie began repaying some of her debt by working freelance for Boston’s Finest: The Irish Mob. There she began to perfect her skills at destroying rival gangs in new and exciting ways. Plus, the pay was good.

Katie didn’t have the same zeal for her parents’ homeland. Wanting to get away from ‘misplaced patriotism’ speeches from her family, and seeking a place to gamble without legal recourse, she packed up and moved to Fantastico in 2019. She spent one year in complete betting bliss before Mr. Fantasti IV disappear. The little paradise she had found quickly degraded. At least the casinos are still open…

Subject: Raina -- um... I think I'll have some juice...

and then he appeared... from the edge of the balcony?

All feelings of hostility were washed away from Raina as the master of the house appeared on the terrace. Perhaps it was his easy demeanor that calmed her or maybe his lack of pretentious comments.

...and maybe it’s his attractiveness...

"My Lady Raina, it would be my pleasure if you were seated here beside me." A rosy blush appeared high on her cheeks on being addressed in this manner. She stood, and began to make her way towards the head of the table.

Master Vorlance continued as she picked her way around the chairs, "And I shall have to congratulate my servants on finding such an exquisite gown for you, though I am sure you feel out of place in it. You look beautiful nonetheless." The rosy color began to creep towards her hairline. Not trusting her voice to speak in confidant tones, she managed a gracious smile for Vorlance. Once again Raina attempted to arrange her skirts in effort to gracefully sit down.

As he continued addressing the group at large, Raina’s anxiousness returned. She felt wary at the situation she was now in, and eager to understand the full nature of this meeting.

Her dark blue eyes looked back to each of them in turn, lingering for a moment of the half orc with slight amusement. She finally settled on the young man who had first posed the question. His dark skin had a peculiar sheen that seemed to glitter in the morning light.

How much dare I divulge?

“My story? It begins some twenty years ago and ends with me having breakfast with the new faces that sit before me. I am called Raina. I am curious as to each of you, as I fear that I am at the same disadvantage of not knowing your names.”

A good place to start.

Having had her fill of rich meals over the last few days, Raina poured herself a glass of the nearest fruit juice. As an afterthought, she selected a few pieces of bread to nibble on.

Hey Mark!
Nice to have another Innmate to spend some time with!

Umm.... questions...hmmmm...

Have you considered doing a small group with your wife and son? I'm not sure how old he is, but there will come a point when getting him interested in D&D will come naturally with his imagination.

What do you consider a relatively small group? 2 players?

See you in the games, and maybe a campaign or two in the future. *winks*

I'd love to be apart of this, but I must admit I am not familiar with the A&A rules, nor D&D 2.0. I'm a 3.5 girl. *grins*
If you're willing to suffer through a little bit of "what rule is that?!?" from me, I'd be more then happy to go along this adventure!
