Topic: The Trilogy War
Subject: Bareel's Back!

Barreel had held himself back for the sake of the party, and ignored the mutilation of fallen warriors. This last bit was too much for his self control, however. Barreel was a dwarf of action and spontaneity, and his impulses screamed at him to end the creature in charge of all this evil. He was ready for this fight. Either he would die a glorious death in the biggest fight of his life, or he would be victorious and cleanse the world of a great evil. He gripped his axe, knuckles turning white, and set himself to charge, a song on his lips...

Then he realized Valene wasn't there. He knew that Ulthok wouldn't want to die here in a fight without having found her. He also knew that they had a job to do, and that was take down the castle. Barreel wasn't sure what the correct action was: do we fight now, or find Valene and the Dragon Queen? This call wasn't his to make.

Taking a deep breath, he reigned himself in and waited for the party's choice.

Subject: And he finds his final battle (late post)

Barreel grinned and stepped forward. A lich! This would be a glorious battle, win or die. Barreel knew that Cor understood him, so said nothing. He just thumped Cor on the shoulder, dwarf to dwarf, warrior to warrior, brother to brother, and smiled. He looked around the party, knowing that there was no one he'd rather battle with. To death and glory, we march!

Subject: Why so quiet?

As the death in front of him died, Barreel turned to the next only to find that all were slain. The battle over, he turned to Siréne to first apologize to her, then to the party for his hasty actions, "Lass-" he rumbled before Aliya's words cut him short.

“STOP! Do you hear that?”

He froze mid sentence and listened, and didn't hear anything. Barreel didn't know what to think of this and was about to ask what everyone else thought when Cor beat him to it.

"Las, ye be right. Tis a most unnatural silence. In my experience such is never a harbinger of good. What say ye all, shall we move or take position here for a bit and see what comes?"

Barreel's first thought was to keep moving. He never did well with sitting still and doing nothing, but that is what caused these last problems in the first place. He decided to wait and see what everyone else thought before commenting himself.

Subject: There we go!

Barreel grinned savagely at the thought that he brought forth the crimson deaths. He had just been bored and wanted to get the party on the move faster, but things worked out even better than he could have hoped!

Then the deaths all ignored him and attacked his party members. This didn't make any sense to Barreel. Didn't he set off the magical trap? Wasn't this his glorious fight? Barreel could only watch as the first death missed Ulthok by a hair, the halfling's quick reflexes saving it. The next death also missed Aliya, but the final one struck Sirene. It didn't look like the blow hurt too much, but Sirene was the one who could have prevented this had Barreel not been so hasty. And he liked the Elf. His exuberance for battle was causing more harm than might otherwise have happened, and he was starting to feel guilty...

But no time for that! There was battle afoot! Barrell decided to start with the death that struck Sirene and gave a boisterous shout:

We sing the song
Of the under halls
Of warriors strong
When duty calls
Our Orc foes straight down we'll MOW
Shout louder lads

Subject: Well that was a let down...

Barreel was feeling frustrated at this point. He rushed through three doors ready for combat and found nothing. Neither soldier, nor horror of the deeps waited for him.

Grumpily walking to the chests to the south, he kicked one and stated, "Ulthok, open these so we can move on quickly."

He then sat roughly into one of the chairs, not noticing the fact that he was so disgusting that the chair was probably ruined forever, and waited for the party to decide to move on.

“It may be more trouble but I think we need to check this room.”
"If ya please, do your thing on the door and then we will enter."

Grinning, happy thinking combat is moments away, Barreel shouted, "I hope there's trouble!"

Barreel then gripped his axe harder and set himself to run through the door axe swinging, "Get it open, then get out of my way!"

Subject: Late to the party it seems...

Barreel still felt groggy, but he did understand honor. Normally boisterous, he silently listened to the debate about the knight. His first thought was to agree with Ulthok and to not trust the knight, but Cor spoke of honor, and honor is what kept the Battlerager fighting. Looking at Cor, Barreel boomed, "Honor is what separates us from them. I trust ye to handle this situation in the most honorable way we safely can."

The situation decided for him, Barreel wandered near the door to go deeper into the castle. He was eager to begin the fight once more and grinned savagely at the thought.

Subject: Late Post.

Used to taking care of himself after a battle, Barreel rubbed some of his powder of coagulation into his more pressing wounds. As he reached for a wound in a more tricky spot, he felt something neither his skin, nor his armor. Tugging it off of his armor he found a gith arm. Smiling he used the blood to turn his powder to a paste to make it work better. It's what all the Berserkers did.

Barreel then reflected on the end of the battle as best he could. First two flying women appeared, then all the bad guys disappeared. He wasn't sure exactly what happened in between those two events. It was hard to think. Barreel had raged for quite a while and the crash after was worse than a hangover.

Shrugging it off as unimportant Barreel walked toward the rest of the beaten, but swiftly recovering party and boomed "WELL THAT WAS FUN! LET'S DO IT AGAIN!"

Subject: Post for CTHB.

Things were just as they should be, simple and honorable, and the wolves had to come and ruin everything. What was a one on one battle became a 3 on one battle in a matter of seconds. Lothor decided to try to fix those odds and pay back some pain.

(OOC: Lothor attacks one of the wolves)

Subject: Still on my own I see.

Barreel was more than just angry at this point, he was frustrated, so Barreel did what any normal Dwarven Berserker would do when frustrated and fighting 3 opponents... He evened the odds by turning one of the gith into a shield.

"GOTCHA! Now stay here and try not ta squirm too much, you'll affect me aim!"

We sing the song
Of friends and myth
Of warriors strong
Battling the Gith
Where strength and honor shall SHOW
Shout louder lads

(OOC Barreel attacks gith #17 with his spikes)

Subject: This is ecstasy!

Barreel never felt better than when he was in a fight. There is nothing like the simple pleasure of pitting your life against anothers, win or lose. Now in battle, nothing can distract him from his goals. Fisrt, the pathetic gith in front of him. Second, that large Gith. Now there's a foe worthy of Barreel Axehand. Bigger is always worth more glory to Barreel at times like this.

Ignoring the body trapped on his armor spikes, Barreel begins another verse of his battle song and charges to finish off the gith in the way of the large Gith:

We sing the song
Of friends and myth
Of warriors strong
Battling the Gith
Where strength and honor shall SHOW
Shout louder lads

(OOC: Barreel will do his best to kill anything in the way of him and the large gith, starting with #15. He'll attack with axe and spikes again.)

Subject: More enemies!

With an ale in one hand
An axe in t'other
We're the best in the land
Ye shan't even bother!
You're blood shall FLOW!
Shout louder lads!

We'll fight-

"Come here you yellow bellied cowards!"

We'll fight to th'end
We'll neither break nor bend
In th'end we'll stand tall
For we shall kill you all!
And ye'll be a feast for CROWS!
Shout louder lads!

"Who can tell me why these sick looking humans be causing ye so much trouble?! They don't look too tough!"

With a loud shout Barreel hacks the first gith he sees and impales it on his spikes, shaking like a dog to coat himself in even more gore.

(OOC Barreel attacks #18 and slams his armor spikes into it.)
