Rayne briefly noted the first Bhut to fall, and registered that allw as not as it seemed when the bdy transformed into that of a human. she knew that she hadto eleminate the number og attackers she was gacing by the simple method of focusing her stacks in the weakest of them. In this case it was the one she had just wounded, she oncentrated her attacks on the one wounded bhut until it frops and then moving to the next.
Manuvering as best a spossible to keep the fewest of the bhuts, ot tranformed humans, Raynr stayed focused on the attacks. If she can see a vlear spot and cane make a jimp she will utilized her swords unique ability. to gain whatever advantage she can get to get away to a more defendable place in the kitch that would limit there ability to all come against her at once. Howver she knew she had to avaoid giving them free attacks against her if she did jump.

Rayne saw the secon Bhut move up and damned the ill luck that had given it rooom to advance into striking range. Looking about her she looked for a place that would allow her to keep only one of those creatures with the ability to attack. A narrowing of area a doors way. If she finds one she moces defensively to that postion, If not she attacks shifts he postition so as to use the one bhut to block the other and attacks the orecioiuslly wounded one, trying to take it down as quickly as possible.
While she favored he bow over all her weapons she was not sliouch with her sword.
Rayne was almost certain that this attack was aimed at Althensa and the word she had taken possions of. She would not willing gice these creatures any chanve or getting to her. She had thought about umping away using her sword's ability butshe would only use it if it was to keep these creaturess from geting to Althena for nmow. However if things fot bad she wold use one to shsift her postion to something more advantageous.
The sounds of battle in the manions came from nearer and further into the mansion. If she could get to whoever that was , it woulf be a good thing to group up.

As the first Bhutis driven back the one behind it finds an opening to move in against Rayne. It closed so that she could not longer evvectively use he bow. Rayne wopips out her blade as the Bhut moves into attack her. Hasteing herself she slashes at the creathure as fast as she can. She can hear the sounds sof battle beyond her.
Rayne ALSO seeks to find a way she can move around this creature to where her friends are most likely doing battle, with who knows what other foes, they that are facing.
"For Kith Joram. Die you abbonimations." Tayne calls out loudly.

Rqrayne knew there was troble but the sudden sight of the Strange scaly undead paused her in midglight now the stairs. For a second or so she stared at them while one at least stare at her. Even sd she paused she was able to se that there were four of them but only two could pass though the hallway at the same time.
Fortunately for that it was narrow evough to limit how many she face. Also fortunate for her she was not alone in the hallway. One of her companions stood with weapons drawn of the floor below her. tayne did not move down the stair yet but used used the height she was at to agive her an advantage to target the leading freatures.
The stareing ended as rayne brought up Alundril's Blood and fire two arrow as fast as she could without rudhing her shots. As each arrow left her bow TThey turned into energy bolts. Rayne hoped that they would prove effective against these creatures. "Kith Jora., aid my aim and let these shots be effective."

Subject: Hardly Ever a Peaceful Moment.
Rayne leand back in her bath. She had cleaned up first and then had the bath refilled with clean hot water so she could soak in the tub. She like being clean agin her flesh and hair sqyeaky cleanfair fresh with the scent of lavender and lemon rinse. She had missed such simple luxuyries. But did not regret them, They had achieved much is the time she had spent with the group. For might complain sometimes that they were a difficult lot to lead being the independent sort of golk that they were. But they did get the job dome and that was what was important.
Slipping a bit deper into teh water, Rayne let the last of the warmth ease the stresses of the their recent mission ease away. She was about to go under, when she thought she heard a noise. Sitting up again she tried to make sense of the sounds she heard theough the open window she left for Aeron to go in and out.
Tayne got out of the bath and moved to the open window overlooking the garden area behind the house grabbing a shift that she slipped over her head. .The night was not quiet not is a city filled with soldiers, refugees and with a war in progress. However the extensive grounds of the General's estate muted some of the more distant sounds.
Was that the sound of weapons crashing together. Rayne decided that she was not going to try to identify what was going on from here. She ran to the bed where she had left her leather armor, gabbling She hastily donned it over her shift tucing the tail of it into her pants and throwing on her leather tunive. As she ran for the door sne grabbed her sword belt, bucler, She vuckle that on and slipped her hand tarm though the chiel Taking up her bow and quiver She slung the quiver on her back and took her bow in hand.
Rayne threw open her room door and raced out, The sounds seem to vome from below at keast from the stairway wher she hear them more clearly,
Rayne ran in that direction for th want of any clear indication of any other direction--notching an arrow as she did. Rayne sent a mental call out for Aeron.

Ranyn moved with the opthers as cor lead them. When the Black robe ordered them newr the entranve she was relievedm but did not lit up he watchfulness. Her hand was so close to her bow that it would only take her a second or so to Insling it and reach for an arrow. He hand twitched to do dsso right now as they moved with her eyes targeting the Black robe.
The balance had swung up for them for the first part of their mission but then it started down and the world alwaysfate as ut sought balance and luck failed them or fate had cast a different path then what they sought. Rayne was not sure what roused the Hill Giant's suspecions of them, bit something had and they were targeted as not friends. Ulthok tried to teleport them out of there but the balance had sontinured to fropped not to thier favor.
Her small group bevaine the target of all those remaining in the domw. Including the Black robe. She rreached for her bow ans and aimed at the Black Robe as he was the most dangerous target to them. He might have protections from arrows up but her arrows turned to pure energy and he might not have protections against that. However even as she targeted him Sorin had been scooped up by the Hill Giant and rayne target changed in an instant. She let go with two aroow in rapid sucession. and several others of their team attacked him as well. But it was not quick enough to save Sorin's llift. The giant popped Sirunps head like a gooseberrybetween a man fingers. The Hill Giant and Sorin were dead before they hit the ground. Unfortunately there was no time to rescue the body or cast a Raise dead.
The other Giants, Orcs, Kobals, and Black Roabe were still attacking them. Soells were cast weapons swung cuutting down the Orcs and Kobals. Two wamps appeared at someonecasting. One attacking the Black Robe and one was set on the Orcs and Kobals.
The two Giants blocked There only way out of the dome. More spells were cast. weapons went to work and they finally make their way our of the dome. As soom and they did a doyble sheck of their groups they found the Eclipse had not made it out with them. Whether he was dead or just trapped somwhere or taken caotive they had not way of telling, The decision was made to move on back to the safetly of the casrle. Hoepfully the rest would make it back saferly,
Onlu that was not mean to be. Lesxon Stumbled and gell suddenly, THe three clerics all rush to her side to discover what had dropped her. What first meet ther is is a change in her skin even as they unsearched hfor her wounds. HEr skinn as scaked and becoming more so and her eyes as she regarded Cor and, Valene and herself were those more indicative of dragons that els. Lexsom was hald elf alreaight but she was also halfpdragon as well. Nothing they did helped them save fer life. As she lay dying, she whispered wit her last breaths. “Save her you must, Dwarf, complete my mission if you hold this world dear. Find our Queen and save her, or the Dragons of Good will never fly in your defense.”
After finally arriving at he sastle walls they were let in , passing over the Voby of Lexson the only one of the three they had lost The party headed for the Generalps residence, but not Tayne.
Back at the Castle Walls and the dew day with New griends
Agter cor passed off the body of Lexson to guards in the at the walls tayne approached him, "Cor, I plan to go help out with any healing that need to be done at the temple of Kith Hora or whereever they had taking the wounded. I will probably spend the night at the temple if you need me you can send word there,"
Rayne told Cor "I hope that I can help as much as possible and get some rest before we have to move out agin."rayne moved of to help with the healing, later when her spells were gone for healing, and her hands grew tired and her eyes heavy she went back to the temple/shrine of Kith Hora. She spoke to the High Priest who had returned only recently from healing himself She told him about her frustration of not being able to help Sorin and Lescon and even that they had totally lost Eclipse. The High Priest listened calmly to her and while he did he sent off a young acolyte for food and drink. returned with two great sliced of bread dlathered with bacon gat and cheese and toasted until the gat dripped and the cheese ran. hunks of bread.
"Eat first, my child. All things must eat and rest so that the they can survive for the next day. As for you friends lost in battle, that is the way of nature. Some win, some lose. You do you best when you can and nothign more can be asked of you. You are not a God, mearly a long-lived mortal." Now eat, pray and then rest. Tomorrow you will be ready to do what you can in Kith Jora's name.
With the bread and cheese devored and a bowle of hot pea soup to drink, The world seemed a little brighter. Rayne knelt down at the simple alter to pray. Twoe things on her mind after she had finished her orayers were. the Fate of eclipse, and THe whereabout of the Dragon Queens. Unfortunately she had memorized no spell that might aid her making whose questions. However with he storong faith in Kith Jora and dtrue devolition to her faile in her faith. Kith Jora might grant some inling that could help them. Oe last question. One last thought cme to her mind as she prayed. She prayed for the souls of Sorin and Lexson and for Eclipse as well even though his fate was ynknown. She found a part of the wall unoccupied and curled up in her cloak ato get the much needed rest. Please Kith Jora, find me another companion. I missed them all so much."
Later the Hight Priest found rayne cureled up not far fomr the alter against a way with a oainting of and elven woods on it a gift form a talented elven artist to Kit Jora. had used her cloak as a blanket and oull the hoo d was oulled well down her face. He said a briedf orayer over her and turned back to the others who still needed his help this night.
In the morning the sounds of gently chimes and the smell of the resinous scent of pine incense woke tayne from a well deserved rest. She rose and tithed 50 golf in the tithing boz knealt to make morning prayers before the Alter, before she had finished another acolyte arrived at her side with another thick slice of bread dripping wth mest fat again of some sort, perhaos even a mixed fat, toasted until warm and accompanied by a bowl of porrige with nuts, bits of dried griut, and bits a meat, mostly likely last nights left over bits.
Tayne headed back to The Generalps house. Ipon entering she can accross a strange tableau. There stood Cor and a strangetall goodlooking womean in shiny armr with the Symbol of Athena on her surcoat stood facing a rather Shabby looking servan, well it looked like a servan jalf hidden by Cor and the Woman., until she got closer. As she got closer she recognized Ulthok, who strangely was looking a bit abashed, but she knew that could well be a clever trick of his. ayne was able to put toether the tray on the ground the enpty tankerds with spilled Contents on the floor and on the surcost and lower armor of the oh so shiny....What was she? Perhaps she was a d Knight/Cleris like Cor or possible even apaladin.

rayne kept upthe pretense of being a cowering Kobold but her hada were a heatbeat away from her arrows and bow if they wre needed She had prepare warped woood and held it ready for us. She waited and the more powerful spellcaster did what theyw ere going to do and then she would see what was left for her to do to put a spoke in the foeps machines.
Warpoing large pieces took time but by Anaylysing the piece themself she looked for small pieces that were mportant but easier to wawp to uselessness.
Her word would vome in handy as well to cut Ropes that were used to hold the basket they loaded with stones and the like. And on the pulleys that cocked the great arms of the trebuchet back ready to fire.. Yes, a sword would work very well there.
Heeding Corps words shefollowed him into the dome just after the Explosion of fire. Rayne knew Sirene was a wily castere but that fireball wxplosion had been fiercesome. She pray to Kith Hora that she had not been caught by any of that fiery burst.
One one of the machines they had been sen to destroy rayne saw a piece that her warp woon might really mess up the machine One was the lock that held the trebuchet cocked while it was loaded. the other were pulleys used to cock the arm. were well withing he ability to mess with.
Rayne held her action not wanting to give the others wway yet, which could well happen if she started casting befoere they had taken out the Black robe. He was rally her first target that she had in mind
Aludrial's Bloodk her elven bow, had brought out of Drow Mountain into the light after centuries of being held there. She could think of no finer time or place to use her than here. She manuvered herself just evought o keep an eye on the black robe. A the first sign of him detecting their prsence she would draw hebown and fire at him. Remocing him quickly was her first order.

Rayne offered Aerion services should they be needed. The huge eagle owl was fully capable of carrying several pounds about for short flights.She had seen him carrying off large hares and even larger salmon with ease oftern enough That he had snagged for his dinner.
With the plans madem decided on and set in motion rayne played her part as a cowering Kobold. As she waited with the others not taking any direct actions. She did her best to be a cowering kobold though the felt far for anyhthing like that.
The question on her mind is would the illusion hold or would they be discovered.
rayne resisteed the temptation to notch a arrow into her bow. Such a action even if she was preceive as a dobold would be totally out of character. To tell the truth she was very uncomfortable with just waiting while others went out to carry out the plans that had been agreed on.
Rayne kated the waiting but her long service in the ranger had tempered her impatience. She might not like iiiiiiit but she could enfure it as long as necessary.

Rayneps examination of the dome revealed one entrance in that she could find. An opening that the weapon must likely used when it was fired. teturning to the groups she details all that she found as well as what she did not find.
"Suggestions are needed. I do have several spells prepared that may well help us fould the weapon itself. If it is made in part of wood, I could use Warp Wood, IT there is rope that hold it together or is used inany way I have Flane strike. IF ther is enough vegetation under that dome them Entangle may wll foul whatever weapon is in there. However Entangle is not as permanent a fic as the other two are. I have some familiarity with such weapons. The throwing arm could be warped make it useless, or the triggering mechanism, Flame can burn any wood and ropes used. and bottles of oil can fan the flames. though if they have spares that could be repaired given enough time."
Knowing how scarce supplies are in out own army we can surmaise they are not overaboundently supplied with replacement parts. So the more we can damage on each of tose weapons the harder it will be for them to try to repair them."

Rayne spent her time shopping for needed items and whatever she thought would be of benfit to the group on this mext mission The problems was finding who had them and the least exorbitant price and was still reputible. She ate, rested, and prayed, and joined all the group meetings to keep abreast of what was going on. Also uring ther time in the city rayna went ot the temple where she prayed and served however she was needed
tayne cull her pack of unccecessary items and added moreuseful one back in. Extra oil, trail rations, healing salves. to her pack that she thought might be needful. Ahe refreshed her kealing kit. She bought extra healing potions from moderate to critical. The items she had culled outm such as leisure clothes and luxury sundriesm her writing materials and such. She packaged them all up and took them to her temple with a letter to her family and the majority of her money. . with her money all but a 100 of golf and 100 silver.
Going to the High Priest in Kith Hora's temple, Rayne requested him to save thiese things for her. "In the event I do not return, half the goldd and silver goes to Kith Hora. The rest with my personal belongings and this letter are to go to my family. Their direction is written clearly on the envelop,

Whatever he can grants gets packed awyfarefully. tayne adds extra arrows toher quiver and even adds more to a simple leather quiver to augment her total. anlong with extraflasks of oil, healing salves, trail rations and whatever she was able to get from the kingps cault. Kingps wault. JHopefully a powerful healing wand or two of the next highest level and any antitocin she could get her hands on.

With theoffe items from the King, Rayne sat down and looked at her own equipement as well as groups needs as she was one hwho often took the role of healer. She will looke for a wand of healing the highest leverl possible, if it is not available then she would try for the next highest. Scrolls of raise dead and heal would also be useful, where she had to buy them or have then made. She wooud include Sure disease, blindness/deafness, and neutralizw poison scools or wand as well as healing pointions. She approached Cor with her suggestions son behalf of the group for such items of healing sthat thye might be able to purchase, including estra points, She explaines her list of items and asks for such funds as the group has available for extras. She had remembered that they had nearly run out while on the Test in Drow Mountain,
Rayne organized her equipment taking out all uncecessary items to save weght now extra clothes or items not strictly necessary.. She would take a quiver of returning and find as many arrows as possible to fill the new one and her old one. She sought out others asking them to make sure to buy enought healing potions for when speells had run out or they were cut off form healers. that too had happened several times in Frow Mountain. Food of couse, high energy light weight, That was a litttle harder in a city the was overrun with an massive army as well as refugees.
During the days she made sure to meet and greet all the new members of their group as well as all those she had been with on Drow Mountain. They needed to rebond with each other. She took time to spend with Sirene as well. As elves they had much in common but rayne knew the the pressures of their journey in Drow Mountain they had little time to just get to know each other.
During tone of he days of preperation Rayne goes to find Sirene. "Sirene, I am so clad you are coming with us. We have not had much time to just talk since you first joined us. I wanted to, before we set off again." Rayne share an abbriviated story with her as well as encouraging a similar sharing form Sirene, but with not real pressure for Sirene to do so." Rayne told her simple story of her childhoof her owh life path of Ranger then later as cleric as well. She jou in being selescted as a Pegausu rider and her service to the king in that respect.

Thank you for your kind words. I have been perparing myself for s whhile. I had hoped, more for myself thatn for her that she would last to her 98th birthday but to have 97 vhtidtmsses was senough and that was what wwas alloted to me and her. She did not know who I was only that I cared for her, kept her clean and fed.
I could not face putting her into a nyrsing home and just letting hr pass. I could easily take care of her needs and did. After all she took care of me and Joanne for several years when we were babies. TI was sort of a role reversal in the end. Several times she called me mother, that was afterall what I was doing for her. Just as she had done for me.

I lost what I wrote and am not sure I can say it like I did but her goes.
On the day after Vristman My Mother passed away quietly in her sleep at the age of 97. She was sborn Aprile 12 1915. My mother was a modern woman long befoer that idea became prevalient in our society. All that I am and have bevaone I owe to the quiet role model she was to ,e. She came out her in the arly WW2 years to work at Mc Donald Doglas as myfather did. Joanna nd I were their only childfren. While just a blue collar woeker then she went back to school as well as working taking advanced math course at UCLa eventually becoamh and enginneerinthe Aero Space field--an Engineer/Scientist Specialts.
My mother worked on things she could not talk about and later after she retired ther first time she came back to work on the MoL pProblem--the manned Orbital Lab. When they cut that she retured again. After retirering she workd for hThe Zonta Vlub and intermation organixation for women==back them==now open to men as well. for almost 20 she was their Foundatin Tresurer--a volunteeer postion but one she carried out with all the dedication that she had given inher normal work like. .
When the signs of seior dementia reared it ugly head she worked as their office manage going fown to work every day 10 an to 4 p, without fail. After Joanne died in2010 the senior dementia increased as it does in a downwward spiral. In the end death was a blessing.
I would like everyong to Celebrate the lives of the ones they love. We do not get them forever.

Because of her ranger training she knew well that the surrounding countryside whould have been pick clean of eever eatable floran a ffauna would be a long time in recoveirng once they had all gone. There was not possibility that much would be left and even that would eventually be used up. Woeod for fires, wagons, Siege engins, catapults, shield pikes. All would be cout down. She could more for the destruction but she knew that right now it supported all those who had come to face the DarkOne and the evil arrayed agaisnt of the Kigdoms of good. She vould morne buut did not. Right now it was needed time for healing the land would come later, if they won, If not it made no difference. If the dark One was victorieous the world would be changed in ways she did not even want to contemplate.
At one large tent they drew up and Vor was greeted genially by the Veneral. The Three survivining origingal members were whisked off to meet with the King. The rest were left behind. Raayneud ot like being left out. She had been with the group the longest of those who had not started with them for the forest to Drow Mountain therough the test and then afterwards in search of the sword. rayne clamped down of her disappointment. She had given up much to wuest with them to aid them on their periolous journey, EVen more so to stay with them and leave the Pegasuss riders. When Ayeron appeared her heart leaped up to see him agian. She dared not asked him if Ariel was here as well. She had give Ariel up when she had chosen to remain with her companions. It had been as had of a shose as she ever had name in her life. He smaile for him did not fade though.
When Ayeron said the Ariel was heere and rayne could bo visit her. rayne heart skipped a bit. but she fought down the urge to reply right away. Could she face seeing Ariel anonly to leave her again. tayne did not know if she could do that so soon with the wound sof their parting still open and tender, berhaps seven still bleeding a bit. She would have to think about that before she accepted his kind invitation.
"Ayeron it is always a oleasure to see you. I did not expected that it would be so soon. is everything alright in Dhan'tara With the Queen and King? rayne askes the paladin, Pegasus Rider. I will wait for Cor to return first though. I will let you know whenI can visit Ariel with you permission of course.", she added more formally. After all Ariel was his mount now not hers.

Arriving at the residence they meet a daughter of the house and her friend as they dismounted and unpacked their horses.
Rayne hept Aeron with her. She did not trust letting him fly in the day wher he could be taken down by an aroow of crossbow bolt by someone who wanted meat of any sort. PErhaps tonight she would let him fly warming him to stay up gifh over any city or encampment, She would thing about it.
They were shown quarters and she checked her packs but did unot unpack them except to take out a clean set of clothes and set the others out to be cleaned. If there was not one to do it ishe would do it herself.
She went downstairs and waited for Cor and company to rettuen. When jhhe did they all gathered, well most of them gathered. He told them what they would be doing, that was if they agreed to it, if not they could have gold and titles form the king. That is not what Rayne had come here for.
"Lord Cor, I gave up the Pegasys Riders. forever," Rayne emphasised that word, "to remain with this company. I have not come this far just to take a King's offer if gold and titles for what we have already done. If so, I would have stayed in the Pegasus riders. I came to continue to fight the Dark One.. That is my answer. There are things I would like and if it is withing the King's ability to have them done then fine, but even without them I am going with you to whatever end this leads up too.
Rayneknew she had tensed a bit as well and Aeron knew it as his talons fripped the padded shoelders on her tunic.
"Now that you have my answer Is there anything else. Do you know what sort of things is the king is ffering? It had been long since I have been able to resupply, other than a few basic items. I do need new clothes arrowa, rations, I know these may be hard to get with so many here all needing much the came things.
Twyne ssat down and listened to others question sna replies. Furing that time she let her attention halft drifts to thoughts of Ariel and their time together. It would hurt but she could not deny that they whad been friends and friend s did not ignore each other just because they might tread different paths.
Later uif Ayeron is about she asked to go see Arile. Before going sheslips down to the kitchedn to begs an apple or carrot and s honey cake for feuit tart that she dtipps honey all over. Ariel had a horrible sweet tooth. She also asks for meat scrops for Aeron so that he would not have to go hunting. She ecplained all that he could eat and what he could not. She would thing albout letting him fly tonight if there were not evnough suitable scraps of fresh meat.

Howerver I have s suggestion. Tann, get "Dagon" Voice recognition software by Nuiance. It is a great program that will type your post by you just saying what you want even editing is done by voice.

Rayne rode watchfully alont the outskits of the party where she had a clear view of the crowds on at least one side of them. She sept them for any rigns of attention they make garner as they rode. Her bow was in her hand and a arrows rested on the string ready to bdraw and fire if there were the need.
The refugees watched then ppass, some with dull eyes and then truned away to their own concerns, others watchedfor a longer tme perhaps with a shed of hope, still left to them. Still other watched with attentiveness that might have as it root many causesm freed lust ad few with freams of glory for themselves, hoever none ventured to imped their provrss to the city itself. They were all well mounted and well armed and though they carried not banner ot had no uniformity if gear what other appreaised as they passed kept them away.
Rayne saw the childdren and it was for them that her heart was saddened the most, Perhaps if she had some time she could lend a hand with healing. There sertainly must be a great need for such mongst all these people

Upon reentering the city Rayne had one stop left to make. The Pegasus rider Barracks. She weill enpty out her foot locker next to her bed, Rayne pick a time when the morning patrols would already be off and the rest eating. There might even be a few still abed especially the night partol. She open the lid of her chest and removed her uniforms off to the side and then took out her clothes packed away for the rtime that she was not in sevice. She carefully folded her uniforms and left then on jer bed. The Cedar chest gave off a pleasent aroma as well as the bay leaves that were scattered amongst the clothes to keep the bugs away. As well as bay leaves there w.as a small net bag of Camphor berries and juniper berries. They combained scents had permeadited her clothes.
Rayne folded and refolded her uniforms untilthey were just right. The smell wafted through the air scenting it p;easantly. Rayne packed away her personal belongsing including the outfit she had arrived her in. Fine leathers in the elven fashion marked with the badge of the rangers she had belonged to before acception a postion in the Pegasus Riders. She fingers the coldern tree on a green oval patch that was embroidered with great detain and trimmed around the edge with the same colden color as the tree the edge was small interwined vines nad leaves that could only really be made out when you closely examined the bade.
When all was packed away she shut the lid of the chest and walked away.. The knowledge that she would never again be a part of the pPegasus Riders hurt more now that yesterday. This final act of removing all her belongings sharpened her lost. Leaving the barracks she closed the foor behins. a literal and figurative leaving.
Well her mother had always told her that if on path closes another will be found. She had made the decision that closed off the path to the Pegasus Riders and HEr choice put her on a continuring or really new path with them. Rayne was committed to this choice. Mother was right. One path closes another appears. She wondered where it would bring her to.

It had not been an esy choice for Rayne. To know that her choice would mean she would never again be part of the Pegasus Riders was not an easy burden to bear. The choice had torn at her, her desides, versus the need of her companions. Her dreams, her joy her hoor to be a pegasus rider agisnt their quest. The choice was reeally simple though heartbreaking as well. THe need of others waifhed against her own. TReally there was no ill in either choice but there was for the greater good, and that was the choice that she had made.
When Cor had vome to her she told him that she would be continueing with the party and not returning to the Pegasus Riders. Aeron was the last of her companions now. The Great Eagle owl gave her eyes in the sky. She wondered if she called another, She missed her team of companiions greatly. Now losing Ariel as well made the lost even more profound. That night she prayed to Kith Jora after riding out into the woodsm.
"Kith Jora, Lord of all Nature, what is coming I do not know, what is needed I have yet to discover. I will call a companion to me, and pray that you hand will choose what is best and when the time is right."
Rayne does not return to the city that night but rook solace in this small bit of the natural world. .LAter she called for a new companion waiting to see what companion would anser her call. If it does not arive by morning she returns to the group ready to move on with them.
