Topic: Silent Hill: Eternal Decay Subject: What is this a hitchcock film?
His head throbbed, a dull sensation in the back of his head as though he had been smacked with something. His vision blurred as well as he pushed himself up on weak arms to a sitting position. His fingers glanced across the wire frame of his glasses, and he picked them up gingerly and placed them upon his nose, blinking away the headache which was still with him.
He took a cursory glance around the room, wondering where he was, but as he stood it occured to him that he remembered very little, only his name and age. He took a quick general inventory of what he had on his person, searching the nearby backpack as we before slinging it on his shoulders.
"No identification, no maps, nothing, what's worse, half of the items one would think would have gone with the others were missing. An Ipod without headphones, not very useful, a cell phone pouch without a cell phone. He was relieved that he still bore a tactical Kevlar SWAT vest, and a pair of black stilleto's strapped to his back.
Having no real idea of 'who' he was beside having a name, he wondered if he was perhaps some sort of law enforcement. Little did he know that aside from almost seven years of martial arts, and a basic introduction to Law and Security at a local community college with a few private gigs of protection or security, he was about as far from a cut and dry officer as it came.
Running his finger through his wild hair, Chris checked his ipod for any hint of his identity, music playlists, videos, that might clue him in to his personality. He couldn't listen to anything at the moment lacking headphones, but perhaps he'd at least have something to look forward to should he find some.
"Feels like I just fell into a Fricken Horror story." he says to none in particular. Moving to the overturned tables, he inspects the wreckage. With a heave, he pulls off a sturdy Table leg as a crude blunt implement, but something was better than nothing. Exploring the room, he finds the words CALL YOUR MOTHER painted in block letters upon the wall. His mother? He tried but for the life of him couldn't recall her name, much less put a face to the woman who had birthed him. It did however make him think of looking for a phone. Ducking behind the desk, he inspects the cash register, (lifting the cash drawer from the tray), reading the registry, taking some extra pens, and the jar (if it's empty). He was in survival mode in a strange place, and perhaps his paranoid neuroticism might actually come in handy for a time.
(Don't want to include too much at a time, will let you reply before continuing)

Topic: Forgotten Realms: The Unsung Heroes Subject: Interlude
Elesia and Bartholomew were a couple of opposites to be certain. While Elesia was dressed like a storybook princess, and danced with a grace so elegant it was a divine spectacle to watch, while Bartholomew, a simple farmer, was dressed in but a clean white tunic, his rugged rustic features trimmed of the travel’s growth for the evening, and he followed his leading lady around the cobbled streets, though more than once he deftly moved her feet with a quick two-step to avoid having her delicately painted toes and silken sandals with crystal tassels trod upon by her partner. They danced, and they laughed, before making their way to the table where their companions sat.
“You ladies look beautiful” Bartholomew said with a gracious bow that seemed somewhat stiff from years of toil in the field.
“And You Xaris, look so handsome tonight” Elesia added. Loriel turned to them and spoke of sharing wealth and good fortune as she presented them all with gifts. To Bartholomew, a belt of sturdy leather, embroidered with silver and with sturdy pouches along its length for easy access to coin, vials or other small items. For Elesia, a silver flute, etched with gusts of wind along its smooth polished finish.
Like Aelistae, Bart tried to deny the kindness, having nothing to return, but Elesia openly accepted her gift, with a gracious curtsey and a thank you. “May I play many happy tunes upon this flute as a sign of gratitude Loriel.” Elesia said as she placed the flute to her lips and blew a few soft practice notes for good measure.
Bartholomew simply shook his head, and attached the belt, compete with buckle around the top of his pants, an exquisite contrast between his light tan shirt and his dark brown leggings. “Thank you Loriel, it is lovely.” He managed to say though his cheeks were still filled with the blush of embarrassment for all the attention he had received this evening.
Bart pulled out a chair, and bid Elesia sit, before finding one of his own. As Aelistae and Linnix prepared to dance, Elesia smiled and urged Linnix to give it a go. “Dance like there is nothing else in life but the dance, and you may even enjoy yourself darling.” With a soft smile, the bard and the farmer took to wait for the show about to begin.

As I never really got into the Warhammer universe as a culture or background (only played a few eldar games way back in the day) I hope what I managed to scavenge from Wikipedia was enough to make the post appropriate for the setting.

Topic: Innocence Proves Nothing - Warhammer 40,000 Subject: Enter the Wolf
The hunger. It was almost unbearable as the sounds of a stomach depraved of nourishment for so long began to turn on itself, digestive acids eating away at what little fat reservoirs remained. His stomach gurgled and growled so loud in his head it was as if the Tyranid swarms of of the Hivefleets had descended upon the hapless planet torn apart by civil war and strife.
Minutes into hours, and hours into days, the boy no more than twelve summers old fought against the overwhelming odds out here in the war-zone simply to stay alive. To be caught out in the open was to ask for a swift death without honor, and so to the shadows he fled. For months as the sounds of bloodshed and death cries echoed across what had once been a lush landscape—now a decrepit hell hole in the paradise that was the Imperium—and Solanis slowly receded farther and farther into the safety of the night, the shadows, and the quiet of his mind.
Soon, the explosions of frag grenades, and other crude explosives made no sound to the boy, and the blood curdling screams were no longer so distant, as Solanis used guerilla warfare to leap out at those he could get the drop on, beating them mercilessly with an old jagged piece of pipe, all over the last dregs of a canteen or the scraps of a food-ration.
So it continued for weeks, and so too was Solanis once more hidden beneath the wreckage of an old Chimera APC, from a group of Imperial Stormtroopers sent in to quell the uprising some months ago. Solanis waited, and waited some more, slipping farther from the sight of the world around him and deeper into his mind’s eye of the terrain as he had memorized it.
Footsteps were approaching. Perhaps they offered salvation, perhaps death, or perhaps, his next meal. His stomach rumbled like the aftereffects of a plasma resonance burst in his head, and he feared it would alert everyone in a fifty click radius of his position, though in reality the sound was barely audible. Closer and closer the footfalls came, each one like thunder across the sky.
A shadow loomed only a few feet from him, and that was when he struck. Leaping from the cover of the wreckage he tucked into a roll and landed inches from his target, with a great sweep of his arms he took the armored legs out from under his prey, and as the officer fell in surprise, Solanis raised the pipe for the killing blow, but a voice stayed his hand for a split second, a split second that would change his life, his reason for existence.
“Halt!”
Her voice was filled with such strength and conviction, the single word was enough to make the boy’s fingers tremble around his meager implement of death. Maybe it was such strength, or the act that he had not heard a female’s voice in so long a time, but Solanis took a chance to look upon the voice’s owner and would forever be a changed man.
Glancing up, his dark eyes fell across the form of the most imposing, yet alluring figure he had ever bore witness to. She encompassed dignity, strength, willpower and fear all at once, and it took but a chance meeting of their eyes, that he knew she was the alpha, and to her pack he had lost.
Then came the flash of light, the burning pain, and the peaceful darkness of which he had found solace in for so long.
Solanis woke up as he did every morning, perched from the ceiling of his quarters above his bed, legs and arms laced between the pipes which fed the Black Ship it’s sustenance, a simple harness supporting his back. It had been years since the Inquisitor’s Assassin had been able to properly sleep in anything that remotely offered comfort such as a bed. For too long over the past fourteen years had Solanis, designated and more often referred to as “Daggerfall” spent in all manner of hell whilst on assignment. His body as well as his soul had been hardened into a living weapon, a feral beast of the night, and like his Alpha, he had come to know pain unimaginable, until the humanity had been almost completely stripped from him. Emotions were a weakness to be used against one’s prey, and Solanis had become skilled at the hunt. He was a wolf, one of Carrigan’s pack, and in the black confines of space the pack was all he knew, they were the only family he had left.
Dropping from the ceiling without so much as a sound, Solanis quickly dressed for the occasion. Earlier in the night he had received word of his new designation, and as he read over the simple letter left within his mailbox, Solanis without conscious thought licked his lips at the chance to hunt once more.
Henceforth you have been designated as Piscivorus.
Signed,
-][- Carrigan
“Piscivorus” Solanis mouthed in a low whisper as he strapped his fabled sword and knife to his person, donning his traditional black body glove, and with a grin, a set of crude beast furs overtop, more for effect than any real protection; as the first law of defense was a simple one he strived to perfect. –don’t get hit in the first place. Lifting from it’s polished cradle, Solanis then strapped his beloved modified rifle “Howl” to his back. With a final glance in the mirror, Solanis bent down and retrieved a pair of lacquered bone, formed in the shape of teeth, and pushed each one through the holes in his ears. The teeth had been gifted to Solanis after successfully qualifying for a second chance of life under Carrigan’s command, and for over a decade he had worn them with pride, a symbol of his allegiance to the ‘pack.’
Running his fingers through his short crop of black hair, Solanis moved silently down the corridor to the large black door that separated the quiet life aboard the Black Ship, with an assignment that would take him from the liberties and wanton luxuries, sparse as they were above this floating prison ship of death, into the blackness of space where he could stretch his legs, and run anew into the night, where in the name of his Alpha Carrigan and the Emperor behind her he would revel in the hunt once more.

Topic: ~*Whom Gods Annoy*~ Subject: here
Rakdos is an ancient being. He has been undead for at least two centuries, possibly even more. I had thought him dead as no news of him had surfaced for some time. As one can expect, my compatriots and I make it our business to know all that occurs on this world of ours. In life, Rakdos was once an…”agent” of our temple, performing services for us of a rather delicate nature. However, he was granted access once before to the Sphere, and learned of Arcanaloth and the stories I have told you. He fell quickly from our order, dedicating himself to the cause of the exiled one, and disappeared for quite some time. It seems now that he has discovered that which I have long feared, and now seeks to restore his unholy patron to power. We cannot let this happen. YOU cannot let this happen. The fate of the world hangs in the balance, and it is no coincidence that you have come here on this day. You have been chosen to prevent Rakdos’s apocalyptic quest from bearing fruit.”
Kaene paused, and quivered slightly. He sat down slowly, a tired look on his face.
”Destiny has picked you. But the choice is yours, I await your answer friends.”
Katriana had to think about the consequences of accepting this Church’s charge, as doing so could have unforeseeable reprocussions from her own role as a devout follower of Ragnarok. Katriana stepped forward and ran her fingers through Kumadel’s hair, even though she did not respond. “”If it be the will of the God’s that I take up arms against this evil most foul then so be it, I pledge claw and steel, heart and faith to the cause. If it truly be fate that we, all of us have come here on this day, then I would dare state it is fate too that this stranger has made their way here as well, that new life is destined to be breathed into them so they too can aid you in this endeavor. Please Master Kaene, gift them with new life, it is all I can ask.

Can't we just destroy the last orb of true sight, therefore ending any chance that all the 'will's of the god's are gathered?
I mean it's Kaene, he's gotta know some Mordenkenen's Disjunctions, or we can just make some force swords since they bypass damage reduction and destroy it lol..
Hazaa for ending entire campaign in one fell swoop!
~~~
Katriana however, won't think of that she's all religious and stuff (darn)
Will hopefully post her reply of YES I'm lawful stupid so I'll join your crazy world saving venture post later today.
Topic: Forgotten Realms: The Unsung Heroes Subject: When the sun goes down...
Evening:
The day had been filled with shopping, sightseeing, and the general exploration of new places, enjoyment of new faces, and some much needed relaxation. With lodgings and meals taken care of by Bart for the day, the Green Gryphon was the natural ending point of the day’s personal excursions. Each had managed to procure items of great value, importance or necessity to their own cause or goals, and as the ale and food flowed freely inside the Castle’s premier drinking establishment, so too did many see fit to enjoy their evening in the open air, under the lantern lights and with streetside minstrel’s playing a lively jaunt as couple’s danced and swayed upon the iron fenced in cobblestone.
Everyone was gathered, some changing for the evening, others enjoying the fine spread set out for them once more on their cloth lined table. Those gathered for entertainment were of a fine caliber, but the voice that joined in with the harps and wind instruments was of an angelic caliber. It started off soft and sweet, and held an allure to each syllable of each word.
Like a thief, unexpectedly you robbed me
No more coldness within my heart
You changed it from dirty stone
Into a beautiful piece of art
To passion I had no vision
But you kissed my eyes and let me see
Another part of my rigid being
You so graciously set free…
Patrons rose from their seats to put a face to the voice, and as they moved outside were met with the alluring and indescribable beauty that was Elesia, leaning against the short iron fence with a glass f wine in one hand and singing softly into the night, for those lovers dancing close to the beat of each other’s hearts.
Emotions which I found foreign,
Seem to be a second language today
You taught me how to speak them
Within my heart they'll stay
Like a thief, unexpectedly you robbed me
Stole my heart without a peep
I thank you for being so silent
My heart you shall keep …
She smiled sweetly as Bart came to the patio, humming her tune softly before ending her impromptu performance and taking a sip of the deep crimson elixir in her glass. As she sauntered over to the farmer, more than one pair of eyes fell upon her beautiful figure,hardly kept hidden in a flowing dress of aquamarine and silver with slits so far up the sides it would make a monk pray for forgiveness even at the sight of her gartered and shapely legs. “Care for a dance?” She asked their patron, much to the hoots and hollers of many gathered. Bartholomew couldn’t help but turn a shade of red much akin to the wine Elesia was drinking, but he extended his hand, and as her fingers slipped between his own, they took to the street and began to truly enjoy the peace of the evening.
The old man was almost giddy as Xaris dumped a weath of gold the likes he rarely saw outside of royal contracting upon the counter, trying to pay for his goods.
"Hold up there sprat, did I not say you would save save save? Let me take 10% off for being such a fine customer, and for gracing us on this day of days!"
He claimed Xaris' Gold, and some platinum, and the gnome was happy to see his total spending had only set him back 3285 instead of 3650. With a happy sound of coin on coin as he swept them into a lock box and took them to a back room, the old man began whistling before returning shortly to set about on his work once more.
Topic: Audalis: Tides of War Q/A Subject: Hammer
Evil Eye watched Thanista bow gracefully to the crowd, scoop up her belongings and follow the tiny stream of applicants up the stairs while The Ghost of her past stared at her as she disappeared from view.
The Ghost was about to make his move when Evil Eye Ezlarog decided that enough was enough. He quickly intercepted The Ghost and pushed his own face nose to nose against the stalker from Thanista the Bard's past, making sure the unwelcome intruder knew exactly who he was now dealing with as Evil Eye Ezlarog slowly lifted his eye patch with his right hand, while moving to grip The Ghost around the neck in a strangle hold with his left. (End confontation here)
Erase all this
"E – E – E – Evil Eye Ezlarog!" gasped The Ghost as the Full Plate clad Mercenary Cleric tightened his grip for added emphasis, "But I – I – I thought you were dead ... gurgle ... gasp ... erg!"
"Not likely!" sneered Evil Eye as he proceeded to break both arms of The Ghost before tossing him over the bar to Bugsy who put the man out of his conscious misery with a well placed thump of a War Club he kept hidden under the bar.
Evil Eye nodded to Bugsy, gathered his cloak and Magical Shield and proceeded up the stairs, pausing long enough to call out to his friend Bugsy, "Toss that Ghost out with the rest of the garbage! I have business to attend to upstairs!"
End deleting
Evil Eye Ezlarog worms his way between Thanista and another eager applicant, taking a stance [with his back to the wall] that sends a message to the other gapers that he is personally standing guard over Thanista the Bard and will see to it that no one bothers her while she waits patiently for her interview.
As Evil Eye Ezlarog stood with his back to the wall, a hauntingly familiar voice from out of his troubled past cut through the suppressed memories of his consciousness as the words of a woman's voice slowly registered upon his mind that was now cognizant of his true surroundings.
"It has been two years since our paths last crossed. You seem in better shape this time around. What have you done with yourself these past two years?"
Emerging from the memory fog of what had been apparently an over active imagination, Evil Eye stared blankly into his now empty mug of Elven Ale and silently wondered if Bugsy had added something special to his drink for old times sake?
Looking quickly across the room, he could see that The Ghost had not moved any further, but was intently staring in the direction that Thanista had taken in response to the call for candidates to be interviewed to partake in an adventure.
Only then did Evil Eye Ezlarog turn his full attention upon the Paladin who had rescued him from the jaws of death two years previously.
Luthien Alcarin cut a fine figure of a woman for a 5'3" Elven Paladin and the pin straight silver hair and flashing violet eyes bore the appearance of an angel of mercy as Evil Eye could never forget the kindness she had offered the Mercenary Cleric on that fateful day.
For a moment Evil Eye was aware of himself scooping the woman up in his arms and planting a passionate kiss of gratitude upon her inviting lips ... but this time he was able to control his imagination and stay focused on the realm of reality inside the Iron Boar.
He bowed to the Paladin, took her right hand and planted a warm kiss of greeting upon the back of her hand ... then he smiled a genuinely grateful smile stating, "My own personal angel of mercy! What a pleasant surprise! I have never felt better in my life than I do at this moment seeing you here at the Iron Boar! It is an omen! I chose to remain at the Temple of Therassor to learn of their ways after mending from my wounds ... but now I have some unfinished business to attend to!"
Or something
your post still have you just dealing with the "Ghost" who was taunting Thanista, you need to end your portion of the post with confronting him. Stop there!
Maybe put your conversation with cdnflirt first, anfd end it with confonting him, you cannot ever just deny another player or npc their actions.
**On that note anyone who wants to can buy pearls for 1 / 100 gp each. (These pearls are the primary ingrediant in the Identify Spell for thos that don't know
Topic: Forgotten Realms: The Unsung Heroes Subject: Miriam and the bow.
Miriam takes a step back a moment in shock at the revealing of Aelistae's true nature, but quickly collects herself in record time. Bowing slightly, the waif of a girl speaks. "Forgive me priestess, I know my reaction must not come as a surprise, but your coin and your presence are welcome here. You see, James Brown is a good friend of my fathers, and he has been in ony recently telling tale of your bravery and your exploits."
Miriam moves to take the mithral chain from the rack in preparation for Aelistae to try it on.
"Please, I know you must face such hardships what with your heritage and all, but I am a firm believer in a person's ability to overcome boundaries placed before them without their consent or control. Please, on behalf of Duncan's Smithy, allow me a credit to this fine piece, as a sign that not all of us are ignorant."
As Miriam tailors the suit to Aelistae, and prepares to box it, the final price of the piece comes out to 1260 crowns. "We'll just be keeping this between us lady's now eh?" She says with a thin smile, glancing to Loriel and Linnix as she speaks.
(Aelistae has received her CD point monetary bonus in the form of a discount)
As Loriel asks for enchantments on her bow, Miriam explains that her father is also a skilled mage, and can enchant almost any weapon to some degree. With some talk exchanged, Miriam produces a bow of almost identical likeness to the one Loriel possessed, except this one radiated a fine aura of magic. She also explained the chance for the ladies (And anyone else who might chance to stop by) to procure some magical ammunition for their journey. (See Q/a)
Topic: Forgotten Realms: the Unsung Heroes Q/A Subject: Wand of Cure Light wounds an more
Seeing as it was 'paid' for by Xaris for some 300+gold (all his remaining gold at the time)
And Jozan has graciously said Xaris would 'donate' it to party items (Since he's currently carrying it but can't use it)
I would think anything Aelistae offered Xaris as compensation, donation or sign of thanks for his generosity would be enough.
(I don't even know if he'd accept it at the time being)
I will say this though, ample healing seems to have found the group... What a boon to you all... or foreshadowing of greater peril? lol, anywho
I'd like to update tomorrow (It'll take you to tonight;(where afterwards Linnix and Aelistae can dance others can roleplay etc etc. If you could all leave any final buying wishes here, I'll account for chance of finding it, deduct funds, adjust sheets nad let you know the changes made.
(For example, Linnix wants' to find a dancing dress, Simply roughly describe what you want, I'll say 'ok you find it' and deduct a reasonabe price from your sheet.
For simplicity:
All mudane items, class tools, adventuring gear, mounts lodgings etc etc from the PHB are available, as are all weapons (excluding Exotic weapons) in both normal, and masterwork condition.
Some quick magic items, available are:
**No more Mithril chain shirts**
The aforementioned 35 charge Wand of CLW for 600 gp
Any weapon or armor can be made to +1 enchantemet for 2100 (weapon) or 1100 (armor/shield)
Ammunition: Any form of ammunition can be imbued with magical 1 time bonuses of 1d6 (fire, ice, electric or acid damage)at the cost of 20gp / projectile Up to a maximum of 10 projectiles a player. (it should be noted these do not make the projectile count as magical for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction, though the elemental magic applied would effect creatures with said reduction minus resistences etc.
(so for 200gp you could have 2 fire, 5 electric 3 sonic arrows etc, or 5 fire bullets and 3 ice bolts and 2 acid arrows etc)
Any Wondrous item up to 1300 gp in the DMG guide only is available (up to a maximum of 1 of each so it's a first post first buy basis)
Healing Belts: are Unavailable
any further questions or comments leave here and I'll reply before the day is through.
