Subject: I like to believe all things are doable

I believe G needs a 7 and D needs a 10 to turn Z, and then 2d4 each if they succeed. These are not like the mice that are automatically dispelled by any clerical power.

These Rats are very large, almost the size of large dogs or wolves.

With the undead mice, you had the liberty of closing the door and casting the "Combine". The spell takes a round to cast so you will definitely be overrun by rodents before you can complete the spell and then turn the ROUS.

Topic: The Island of Putnam the Mad
Subject: The next room

Without a clear sense of direction, the party decides to try the steam room exit. Ivan is not pleased with this decision by he goes with it anyway.

Upon finding the portal you step into another room. A large U-shaped dining table and 12 chairs take up half the room. Tapestries that once covered the walls have been tom down and are mounded in one corner to a depth of about 4 feet, covering several of the chairs and part of the table. Two fireplaces glow with fires. There are black openings in each of the four walls. A short, two legged, watermelon-shaped, metallic object lies under the table.

There are ten Giant (about 4 feet long, so almost large dog size)) rats in this room, with a majority of them feasting on the flesh of two bodies lying on the floor. Judging by the blood, they were killed recently. The rats have the same glowing red eyes and partially decomposed bodies that the Mice had in the kitchen. They are undead and they are leaving their feast to move towards you.

Ivan screams rather loudly, "By the Catlord! It's the Rats again! You said you killed them!" He frantically searches around for a place to climb up.

It was Miss Scarlett, in the Dining Room, with the Giant Rats.

No?

I will post the room in the game soonish. Party comes in where the X is. Room is a dinning room with 10 Undead Giant Rats eating two fresh bodies.

In the standard maps of traveller, what is the scale of the maps? I do not see a reference anywhere. One square is ?

I am dealing with some major health issues right now and Vanadia is away on business for the week. I will be a little on the quiet side this week for posting and updates. I am waiting for my lovely and talented daughter to post to the game and I will move this forward.

If she does not post before Friday, I will have Grace blush, mumble something while eating food and end up embarrassed as she spills oatmeal over her top.

Mal has called for the south door through the steam room so unless there is an objection, I will proceed on that notion.

BTW - is anyone taking the Wizard slaying crossbow? Or any of the BB equipment?

With that in mind, I have set a deadline for myself to get this game started by the end of May at the latest.

So please bear with me.

First rule of d&d, you can never level up in a dungeon.

I need a direction and a door from the group

Archangel is correct. The first watch fell asleep mysterious and you all slept through the night.

So there is a way to go.

Topic: Traveller game interest?
Subject: getting to know people

Just so I have an idea of who I am gaming with, maybe we can do a bit of a blurb to introduce ourselves. Most of you I have not played with on this site before.

I am Roger and I live in Toronto Canada. I am male. Donít laugh, I had a friendship with someone for three years via the internet before I found out he was a she. I am married to Vanadia (on this site) and have two kids, MMV (age 18, also on site) and Incrediboy (age 6). For the record, Incrediboy has autism. I tell you this so you will know that if I disappear for a couple of days without answers Ė you know why.

I have played RPGs since 1983 and familiar with such games as D&D (1, 2, 3, 3,5), Gamma World, Top Secret, Rolemaster, Paranoia, Serenity and Ars Magica. This is my first foray into Traveller.

Everyone hold off on sending me the final sheets until I say so. Otherwise I keep getting sheets that are revised and reset.

By the way - I think we have enough players now that Grugg is playing again

Grugg - You do realize that the game mechanics are all gonna be run by me anyway so you really just need to understand equipment and skills. Once the game starts it is a writing exercise more than anything as I could be flipping coins and using my visa bill for damage.

I can help you develop a character just not right now as I am a bit busy in RL. I have always wanted to have you as a player in one of my games. So I hope you will reconsider

Sonic rifles. Worst that can happen is you are knocked unconscious, taken prisoner and used as hostage to force everyone else to surrender and give up the violin.

Interesting that this has a door on the lower part of the walkway. Some designs have the bridge with a lifepod, some do not.

Subject: Where is Wolfo?

See, this is the problem with generality in posting. I have to make assumptions and you know what they say about making assumptions.

So ....

You declared you were putting two trapped flashbangs between the cargo bay and the EVA Hatch. They will stay there. Whether they have gone off or not is unknown to Wolf as they may have been triggered when the doors blew open.

As to where Wolf is in the Cargo Bay, that you may change as long as you do not put yourself somewhere beyond the two shuttle bays doors. They are both blown open now and soldiers are coming in.

If it makes you feel better, the soldiers will probably be scrambling away from the ship soon once the Victoria class gets a missile lock.
