Jessica realised the 'baby' they were looking for was a new born vampire. Jessica opened her mouth and caught the newborn scent. She shuddered; it was a mix of perfume, blood and Lycan biter. She wanted to wash the smell out of her nose. She thought about something.
"We need to get her over here right? If she any thing like her 'father' she'll like Lycan blood. I could lure her over here. I'm fast enough to make sure she can't catch me. Then you don't have to worry about her getting hurt." Jessica offered. As much as Jessica hated Lycan biter, she still didn't want his feeling hurt.

D'Artigo took a few seconds to respond. This was maybe the first time... maybe the second, he wasn't sure... but it was very rare that Kitten talked to him. Regaining his composure, and grateful he had his mask on, he mused over the thought.
"Look, Kitten, as much as I appreciate the offer, I think it would still be best if I went and fetched her. And I also think it's best in anyone comes with me, it should be Pale Rose. There's something about a sense of family that comes with being met by your own species, don't you agree?"
"Well, the citizens are bound to know it was a vampire by now... and our pale skin gives us away... here, hold still. And try not to think of this the wrong way." D'Artigo reached out and grabbed Miv's face. Closing his eyes and breathing deeply, he begins moving the simple disguise through his fingers, and onto Miv. Whispering softly and tenderly, though making no sense - the way his magic always worked - D'Artigo's breathing became shallower, and sweat dripped from under his mask. As he finished talking, he opened his eyes, looking at Miv.
No longer was her face pale, as was the trademark for the vampires. Now, it held a slight bronze colour. He hadn't changed her hair, he didn't need to. But now she would be able to walk unassumingly in human lands.
"Okay." D'Artigo said, panting. Magic really made him tired. Letting go of Miv, he continued "that should be good for now. If you have anything else to say to them, do so now. My magic doesn't last long, so we may need to hurry. You ready to go?"
"Alright. Let's go. We'll be back, but I don't know how soon. Not only could it take a while to find her, it may take some time to fight off the bloodlust. But we'll be back, don't worry."
Walking into the village, still breathing heavy, D'Artigo whispered to Miv. "Look, just follow my lead okay? These people are so helpful when you're in distress..." Then, in a raspy tone of someone who has traveled too far, D'Artigo called out, addressing all of the civilians,
"Our daughter!!! Please, somebody, help!!! We've lost our daughter, and we have no idea where she could have gone! We lost her three weeks ago, and we fear she's dead! Somebody, help us!"
Hearing the cry, a member of the city guard walks up, eyes wide with shock. "Ma'am, is this true? Can you describe her to me miss, we'll see if she's here."
D'Artigo hung onto Miv, sobbing for effect. The guards. So stupid.
Jessica was startled when Lycan biter changed Miv skin tone. She had never seen that before. Before they started thier little skit; she said "If you really need to give me a nickname, try Jess or Black cat. I don't like kitten." Jessica smiled while watching the act.

"Hmm... terrible luck you two... well, I haven't noticed anyone extra around here... but feel free to look around. I'm sorry we couldn't help you two." The guard walked away, a look of sadness on his face.
"Way to play along Pale Rose, you're better at this than I thought... okay, come on, I remember where I spawned her. Keep it up though. These saps will believe it, but it's better to keep it convincing anyways. Oh, and do we bring her back to the group, or do we help her here?"
"You pick up on a lot of my habits don't you? See? You are a lot like me." D'Artigo keeps his head up, looking for signs, and landmarks that he recognized. Still faking his sobs, his motions became more tense. He was sure that the walk wasn't this far before. There was that sign... and that building... "Have you ever spawned a chi- a vampire, or are you still full of your blood?"
