Seth jumped at the sudden movement, but his leg would not support him, and he hit the ground hard. He couldn't do anything. He still hadn't picked his gun back up, and he couldn't reach over there to stop Travis from taking too much blood. All he could do was watch and wait.
Travis' body flung backward with such force, he flew off the table...he lay there as the hole in his neck closed...and he saw Seth lying on the ground. He rushed to him and picked him up, the man pushed him away and drew his gun to Travis' head. Travis looked over and saw Max...she looked lifeless. He wanted to go to her, but Seth was already there, with his weapon still trained on Travis' forehead.
Seth felt his nerves running wild. He tended to Max as best as he could, but he refused to take his aim off the man in front of him. "I need you to answer a few questions before I put this down. What happened to you, and where's dominic?"
"I don't know...I'm not myself. I feel...sick...I can't control my actions Seth...I wasn't myself. That wasn't me that attacked you, but it was me who aksed you to kill me...and you didn't...and now look what I've done."
Travis pounded the table...until he heard Dominic's name.
"Dominic...Dominic" He laugh on the second repitition, "that poor bastard is dead, I killed him. Good riddance too."
"One more. Did you really check on Derric?" Seth put the gun down. He helped Max up, and looked at her neck. It looked like she'd be fine. Tomorrow, him, travis, and possibly Derric could try to find Rose. Max needed rest.
"Almost killed Cauldwell. Or almost gave them a sample. I'm actually hoping the sample, so that security won't have been beefed when we need him dead." Seth had his arm around Max. He looked at her, like asking when they were telling travis about Rose.
