Seth was glad he took it. Whether it ever got used or not, it would be fine. He also had another gift. One with more sentimental value...
After doing research online, he found a picture of Travis, holding a young child. He noticed that picture hadn't been anywhere in the room. He pulled it out from under the box and handed it to him. On the back was an engraving.
"To the Dad of the group, and the family man."
Seth grinned, because he also thought up that quote.
All he could do was smile. He did'nt know what to say. He didn't put the photo on the shelf, insetad he put in what he refered to as "the place of honor", his headboard. All he could do was muster an awkward a grin.
Seth was angry, and reasonably so. He had just been betrayed by whom he actually felt safe with. No wonder she wanted his weapons away.
He knew he was completely outnumbered and outmatched. He was a simple human with a hurt knee. He wouldn't be able to retreat when the fight started. Thinking that, he made sure his guns were loaded, and stepped out into the hallway, walking towards the front door.
His nose twitched. He could smell people...people he'd never smelt before...he was confused. Then it hit him. An attack. He grabbed the sword and the machine gun and ran outside, lurkin in the darkness. He knew they couldn't sense him, or know he was there in any way. He was one of them...he would blend in perfectly.
