A lot? I don't really think so

Otherwise, I'd have posted already.

The main thing is, although I might have a couple ideas as a player, Karra doesn't. She has little else to add right now, considering her speciality isn't in stealth or sneaking around unnoticed, or getting illegal cargo for that matter; she might know some people who do so, but doesn't herself. Her skills lie in medicine, diplomacy and bureaucracy.

So, go ahead and post; there's no reason to wait on my part.

Karra may add something later, but she will need to see what's involved with people's plans first in order to get an idea of what exactly is needed/going on.

OK

Right, I'll post up then. I can't guarantee that your characters will like the plan though.

Again

Reluctant to post without garent posting, half of me thinks I should wait for him but the other half says that I have college tomorrow so might not have time to post.

I wouldn't suggest waiting for him at this point; Geriant has not posted at all to the game since you and I joined, which was over 2 weeks ago now. Even if we move ahead without him, that's what backposts are for.

Hum

Convincing enough for me. Posts away.

EDIT: Although my post will need a GM post to follow which puts me in a fix because, maybe Hako'ib will change the subject for a bit so we can RP.

Unless anyone else has something else to add to the plan.

Hmm...

Looking at the map... there's only one way in and out of the hanger, as well as only one real hallway as well... and it goes directly around an imperial office...

Where's a portable door when you need one?

Joking aside... doesn't look good... too many places where they could easily setup a blockade of the hallway if there's any hint of trouble.

Of course, those are just my initial feelings on it... We'll just have to see what happens and deal with it accordingly...

On another note, what are the orange lines for? Doors that require security chips?

Back

Alright... I'm back.

I've sent you all a map of the Blue Deck. 3 MB file {eep!} Hope you all receive it!

Hopefully this will help you all in executing a plan to retreive the package.

As a side note, I have not probably with players posting OOC plans to the Q/A board that their IC character might not think of themselves. Some might see this as meta-gaming... I don't... so feel free to do it. IC, you as the player will still need to come up with a valid reason for your character's actions.

Anyway, here's your characters' plan as I understand it so far:

1) Hako'ib is going to get the stormtrooper armor from his contact and bring it back to Switch's lair. The rest of the party is planning on hanging out until his return. (?)

2) IF he returns successfully, Ara will don the armor and Karra will pretend to be her prisoner, while Hako'ib will pretend to be bringing Ithiria to the BluRay as some new, exotic entertainment.

A question, now that you have a map:Is your intent to go straight up one of the main elevators? Together? Separate?

Please let me know if I have the info correct, or if there are any changes to be made. I have the next two days off and hope to post before Sunday AM.

Thanks!

Ayrn

I received the map too.

As far as I'm concered, we are waiting about for Hako'ib's return, and we will be going up separately and subtly joining up back on Blue Deck.

Right

All action, I was hoping I could do some RP by PM with you Aryn with the owner of the droid shop. I left that gap so that you guys could RP a bit without the scoundral in the room, sort of comment about him and such but never mind.

I'll post up and I have come up with a plan, I've drawn roots on the map if your interested but basicaly Ara will be going by the hallway to the hanger in disguies and will be taking our feline friend with her as a prisoner/person to help in the hanger. They shouldn't have a problem sneaking past the guards in the security center, Hako'ib and Ithiria will take the mantencent corridor past the back Imp Lolayist place before entering into the corridor and sneaking past the security center as well. Once in the hanger one of us, the most computer adept, should go about hacking the doors to permanently lock them and the rest of us find the frozen agent (of cause hako'ib will be looking for the corellian spiced ale in reality.)

It's only spitballing but it should get the ball rolling as far as plans go, if it all goes bad then we have 3 stunners, a looker and pistols.

(Sorry about the spelling, I'm not on my own computer so it doesn't have google spellchecker and it won't let me use any microsoft programs)

Oddly none of us is very computer adept (at least no one has the requisite skill).

I think the plan is sound (sort of). The only problem could come if we arrive at different at the hanger at completely different times, if one group gets into the hangar and the other doesn't, or if none of us can make it in.

But we can deal with that at the time.

Ideally we won't need to start blasting until we get inside the hangar. I have a feeling that we'll have to to get the body and to get it off the station. No Imperial is going to let us walk off with a frozen body without some checks methinks .

PS. Far better for out two members with floppy head-tails to stay out in the open rather than take the maintenance tunnel. Why would a dancer and her escort be in there?

Regarding corridors

I'd have to agree with Gina-chan. I looked over the maintenance area pretty thoroughly, and came to the conclusion that any activity in that region would come across as very suspicious. Firstly, the corridor only goes from the maintenance elevator and up to the Lucky Stars. This is one of the primary problems; think about where you'd actually end up. You'd be entering a casino (of sorts) through a door that's likely reserved for employees and other staff or droids. Furthermore, employees wouldn't be doing their job right if they weren't paying attention and watching for cheaters, so they will be alert and have a high likelihood of noticing. If none of the employees recognize you, and if the prejudice mentioned earlier comes into play, they would probably alert the Imperials even if it was a false alarm.

Also, we don't know if the maintenance hall itself is under surveillance along with the rest of the floor. If you show up on screen on an Imperial's monitor, chances are pretty high that they'd at least go to investigate why 'civilians' are in that corridor, particularly if there's no other workers using it, or if the workers are all droids.

The only purpose I can think of for the maintenance area by the elevator is a possible meeting place for when we first head down.

There is another possibility I tentatively considered, which was going to the hanger via one of those offices you see by the maintenance area. Very risky, with a slim chance of success, now that I think about it more critically. Naturally, this means that the wall would have to be breached, which in itself poses a few problems, namely how it'd be done. Setting that aside for the moment, there are numerous other problems, namely that the stormtroopers would notice and thus would make the rest of the plan very difficult to accomplish.

Yet, at the same time, provided an office was secured, it could be possible to go back and forth from Switch's locale and smuggle a lot of weaponry to that office, which makes a quick firefight a bit less daunting. I say 'quick' here, because the firefight would be meant to be cover for two others to hypothetically grab the frozen person, and then once that's done, everyone would make haste for a ship and take off.

It is possible, but as I said, is also very risky. It could be done easier if we had a larger group of people, but we don't. There are a few too many flaws and probabilities with that plan for my tastes, but I thought I might as well share it for other people to look at.

Regarding a Computer tech person... I believe that skill requires Int, so, with Ayrn's permission, I could swap Gather Information for Karra with Computer Use... she'd probably be adequate with it, although admittedly her Int score is slightly low right now. I seem to fill in the Computer Tech role pretty often anyway

Oh, on another note Ayrn, I just realized... her attack bonuses as listed with her claws and handgun haven't been increased from the now 2 BAB.

Well we have explosives and could use it to blow a hole in the office wall. The problem would be that we'd immediately have to start firing as soon as we're in the hangar.

The Plan

Now you've pointed it out it's obvious, why would 'civilians' be in the maintenance corridor?

OK, so that part of the plan is out.

We have explosives, but would they be strong enough to blast through a wall? It's a quick plan, and very simple so very little can go wrong. As you said the stormtroopers are a problem, we'd be entering the hanger through a hole in the wall that wasn't there before.

If we could however use it as a decoy, plant the explosive and draw the stormtroopers away from the security center and hanger then we could sneak in under the confusion. But they could always lock down the hanger so no one gets in or out.

An alternitive is a stright out assult, we tos a few stun grenades into the security center to put the stormtroopers to sleep then burst into the hanger guns blazing.
