PC Creation

You get 93 original points to create a character instead of randomly rolling for this game

Bard has a Charisma Prime.

If your Bard is a Human you get to choose 2 more Primes and if not Human you choose 1 more Prime.

Races other than Human have a +1 and -1 to certain attributes [as noted with my Gnome]

Bards are not spellcasters in C&C but Warrior Poets.

Hopefully you got the Email with the forwarded PH title

Almost there...

Hey, took a look at the opening post - looking forward to it. Almost done with my druid (I'll have everything ready by the end of the weekend), but I see we don't have any arcane casters. Do we all think that's necessity that we'll miss or no? I'd prefer the druid but it's not a big deal at this point to switch over to an arcane caster - just let me know.

Also how's everyone feeling about horses?

Caster

ShadowDragon will be running a Wizard to Level 5 and then making it a Rogue multi class.

He just has to remember to make his second Prime what a Rogue requires [am at some friend's house and do not have the info handy!]

Someone will have a Staff that has some spells, so the Casting is covered okay!

I am indeed....

I do have a couple of ideas for this rogue character!

Hey! I've got a few more questions:

1) When do you want our completed character sheets turned in to you?

2) With a half-elf character, does the +2 to CHA checks under the Racial Ability "Empathy" apply to all CHA checks (including CHA-based saves) or just to diplomacy/interaction checks?

Ayrn the answer off the top of my head ...

..... is that all Charisma checks of any nature would get the +2 for the Race

I am at a friend's house this morning and do not have my Players Handbook handy to verify, so will look it up and get back with you in a couple days.

As for the character sheets, Nimu sent me a PM with some info to look over and I will be checking it out over the next couple days.

Just get them worked on over the next couple weeks and when the book Of Gods & Monsters becomes available then I can get the deity most suited for the Race of your character and all the benefits of that deity as well as the Avatar of that deity posted for each character

Answer to Ayrn

EMPATHY: A half-elf’s uncanny ability to empathize with others is reflected in a +2 bonus to all charisma checks. This ability can be combined with attribute check modification.

Okay Ayrn

Was able to finally access the PH attachment and copied and pasted the Empathy for half elfs.

Half Elfs get the +2 bonus to All Charisma checks plus if Charisma is 13-15 you would get another +1 added to it.

16-17 gets +2 and 18-19 gets +3

Therefore a 17 on Charisma would get a Half Elf a total of +4 to all Charisma Saves whereas an 18 would get +5.

Horses and what not

Nimu - You asked about horses. My character is going to be a half-elf ranger. Based on the background story I am developing he comes from a family that raises horses - at least the human 1/2 of his heritage and he was raised by that family. So I am assuming he likes horses and is quite skilled with them.

Hammer - as the above indicates, I am working on my character. You'll have it fairly soon, I hope.

Hey, just curious what races y'all are choosing?

I've got about 4 different ideas running through my head for this rogue character, each based on a different race.

So far, I've narrowed it down to these four:

1) Dwarf Rogue -- A Professional Troubleshooter
2) Elf Rogue -- A Government Spy / Infiltrator
3) Half-Elf Rogue [Human Lineage] -- A Shadow Warrior
4) Half-Orc Rogue -- A Pit Fighter

So, what races are the rest of you thinking of playing?

Welcome I made and femlae elf Ranger I may have to reconsider my class she have no cleric, or magic users but I hate wizard if they are anyhting like D&D

Brianna, I thought you signed up to play the fighter. And DM signed up for the Bard. (or the other way around)

I think you can look at page 1 of the recruitment thread to see what everyone is signed up as (as far as classes go).

We do have:
a gnome cleric (Hammer)
an elven druid (Nimu)
a wizard (Shadowdragon)
a half-elven ranger (Nomad)
and a rogue (Me)
