The weeks melded blandly into melancholy months which rolled into years of festering. Beaten and broken, the life of a prisoner was anything but Just. Sentenced to a slow death from wasting, you've seen the better days of freedom slip from your grasp. Escape had been plotted and tried, only to fail at every turn. Resigned to the semblance of life a prison can have, you wait til the end of your days - abandoned by your people, abandoned by Hope.
The punishments seemed to worsen suddenly. No longer was food provided, leaving one to feast on unsuspecting mice for sustenance. The guards themselves were no longer seen, either; leaving the few high profile prisoners to deduce that something foul had befallen their former wardens. Escape was near at hand, but what of the world beyond? How long forth had it been - How much had changed? Did old enemies die hard, or had prison wasted away the foes of old?
Last you can recall, before being shunted into the void of prisonlife, you had been transported to a bustling cityscape of immense size altogether alien to your knowledge. Whether another transport had occurred since then, or any number of answers to the innumerable questions time never supplied - remain unknown. What is known?! Hope has not abandoned you; for escape is near at hand.

I probably shouldn't join but you're letting in psionics and I haven't played a psion in ages. Holy crap character forthcoming.
CAn I utilize the FR Campaign Setting book for my character?
I'm leaning towards a 7 cleric 3 Divine Disciple of Mystra.
Also.. So we're 10th level and imprisoned.. I'm thinking since we're imprisoned... and obviously for some length of time, we were 10th level when we were captured... What of the wealth we would have accumulated before capture?
Do we create a list somewhere like.. equipment held elsewhere? what permanenced spells or RP purchases? A home, or some other investment?
These are just curiousities I have.. want ot make character as detailed as possible..
And on that note.. how were we captured? What were we doing to lead up to our capture? Where in the world were we? As 10th level characters we're likely influencial in some form. (And I do have leadership...) Just looking for extra info if possible. Thanks!

What sort of relationships are possible between the characters? Do we even know each other? It sounds like this prison is a big place, so I'm not sure if we would or not.
Venerable Age: You were imprisoned shortly after reaching 10th level. The time between when you achieved 10th level as a mature adult through to today has accumulated the number of years necessary to have become Venerable. Indeed, Elves would be considerably older still than anyone else. No skills were learned in that time, nor XP gained so INT wont affect skill point acquisition. I don't believe I've enabled any of the source books which would enable an ageless or otherwise unaffected character.
Multiple Psions - it hadn't occurred to me that people would prefer DarkSun! heh... that'd be wicked - another time perhaps. Yes, there can be multiple similar classes, etc., as this is a prison and not some road-side bar seeking adventurers of a certain make a model to form a party.
FR Campaign Setting source book - As we're doing Forgotten Realms, I'll edit the list of allowed resources to include: FRCS & Faiths and Pantheons.
Wealth - There is no need to detail equipment. You've likely accumulated your fair share of treasures, land holdings, trinkets, and baubles in the days before you were incarcerated for whatever it was that you did. Some of them were likely rather nice and shiny, too! What has come of them in the passing of decades?! IF you want to detail this separately, by all means do so.
Captured - How, when, where, why (etc., ad nauseam); These details are for you the player to incorporate into your fluff. I'm not talking down-feathers or cotton here. The entity responsible for your imprisonment may still be available for retribution once you make good your escape! This entity should be at least moderately powerful and/or a regime of some sort with interests in keeping you imprisoned rather than martyring you to a cause. Whether it be revolt against a local Dark Lord, or at the hands of a sinister Guildmaster or what have you; the imprisonment need not be just. Heh - maybe you were just aiding and abetting or a mere accomplice to someone of higher and mightier status!? All this is yours to create.
Relationships - It's hard to build a decent one in prison. It's not just the attitude of the imprisoned so much as the guards discouragement. Knowledge of one another is one thing, and limited at best. Knowing each other just wouldn't be possible, nor seeing faces nor hearing voices above a whisper.
The Unasked Question: The Prison - Lastly, the prison itself is obviously designed to thwart various key features including arcane and divine magic, psionics, and supernatural abilities. The effect is such that while you're imprisoned, you've little more than your skin.
Hope that takes care of everything for now. I see I've 3 interested at this time?
Works for me. I'd be open to a few more at most.

Another question on everyone's mind...
Venerable age? Doesn't that mean a human, for instance, would be 70 years old? At that point, How viable is it really to have any physical class? And why would they want to escape the relative safety of the orison at that point into a world they no longer know or understand? I'm not asking to be obnoxious or anything, just a few pieces of logic that aren't synching up in my head.
Also, how do you want us to send characters to you? Post? PM? Email?
I must admit I'm really liking your idea so far: the setting, the imprisonment and everything, but my difficulty would be the posting amount. I can't commit to something that is at least twice a week. Otherwise I would absolutely consider it.
But I wanted to let you know that this game sounds like it could be a good one.
