Full Text
So that people can make an informed decision amidst all the general silliness, here's the full text of both the RoP and the CoP from the AD&D DMG:
Ring of Protection: A ring of protection improves the wearer's Armor Class value and saving throws versus all forms of attack. A ring+1 betters AC bv 1 (say, from 10 to 9) and gives a bonus of +1 on saving die rolls. The magical properties of a ring of protection are cumulative with all otner magical items of protection except as follows:
1. The ring does not improve Armor Class if magical armor is worn, although it does add to saving throw die rolls.
2. Multiple rings of protection operating on the same person, or in the same area, do not combine protection. Only one such ring - the strongest - functions, so a pair of protection rings +2 provides only +2 protection.
Cloak of Protection: The various forms of this marvelous device all appear to be normal garments made of cloth or leather. However, each plus of a cloak of protection betters Armor Class by one and adds one to saving throw die rolls. Thus, a cloak + I would lower Armor Class 10 (no armor) to Armor Class 9, and give a +1 bonus to saving throw rolls. To determine how powerful a given cloak is, roll percentile dice and consult the table below:

This device can be combined with other items or worn with leather armor. It cannot function in conjunction with any sort of magical armor, normal armor not made of leather, or with a shield of any sort.
Actually re-reading it all, the CoP probably wouldn't work with the new Gauntlets that Sirene obtained. Hmm...

It does specifically say all other magical items of protection. However, I do think you're right about it conflicting with the gauntlets.

Gotta be Honest
The Gauntlets are not armor per say but a set of fingerless Bracers that ACT as +3 Studded Leather armor. So the Cloak would work. However think of this you already wear a Robe of the Magi adding a cloak to that is gonna be alot of clothing to wear.
Just like when Cynil wore them she also wore one of the Rings of Protection +2 and gained it's +2 to both AC And saves. The Gauntlets will stack with the Ring or Cloak but not both.
One more thing to consider the Gauntlets count as +3 Studded Leather so you also lose the Robe's non-magical AC 5 armor rating which is no big deal as the Gaunlets are better in the long run.
My suggestion is......Drop the Cloak, keep the ring, and add the Ring of Animal Friendship instead as Maggot decided not to take it afterall.
However this is all up to you, it's your character, but I still think both Cloak and Ring do not stack.

Umm...
As a route out of the impasse, I'll have Sirene throw her Ring of Protection +2 into party loot (to be sold off, unless someone else wants it), and don the Cloak of Protection +2 and the Ring of Animal Friendship.
I can't wear the RoP and the Ring of Hugging Furry Animals because Sirene also wears a 3rd ring (which is cooler than either of those two).
And I do think it's fairly easy to wear a cloak and a robe. A robe is basically a dress (even for men), and it's quite easy to wear an outer garment over a dress.

I'm sure I can work in the Elven for RoHFA into my next post, without anyone noticing. 
On a more serious note, it'd be helpful if someone from the smaller group can post so that I can start on mine. Since no one from the bigger group has noticed the anything strange up ahead, there's not much to write about (except for the escape from the Temple of Doom).
