DM - I know when we left the castle Lothor picked up a few items in the divvying up of the loot, which I am not realizing I never wrote down. You don't by chance have that list do you? I'm sure I can dig through the posts, but that is a lot of posts . . .
Also, how fast does his ring of regeneration heal the cold damage? I'm sure it can't keep up, but it might help a little.
To the group - Anybody have some kind of temp protection for the rest of us? Lothor's getting a bit chilly. I suspect others need it as well.
If we can't protect vs. the cold, what do we do? Going down seems required, but how? Did we pass anything that could be used to make cold weather gear? The only thing that comes to mind would be the remains of the shredded tapestry. Good memories there . . .
Sure, the big guy smashed a skull. But that isn't quite the same as seeing a big sign that says, "insert here to open a portal to hell." And then proceeding to insert . . . gems, fingers, whatever . . .
Is it a good sign or a bad sign that hell appears to have frozen over? :-/
What spells do people have? Am I interpreting this correctly - that if we take a rest people can learn alternate spells - like protection from the elements stuff? Remember that such protection magics only prevented 1/2 the damage for those that had them when the crypt was open.
A wall of force over it seems like a good stop gap.rnBefore we try to remove the gems?rnWhat happens if the wall is there and then the gems are removed? rnIf the crypt tries to close does the irresistible force meet the immovable object? That could be a test for the ages. Or it might just shatter the whole crypt and leave us with a different problem. rnLothor has no ideas other than finding warm gear - and the only thing around here is a shredded tapestry. I think.
