Back and ready to move

After about 10 days on vacation and without internet, I am back and ready to say, "I don't know what to do next."

Not trying to bring back Scandrick and distributing his goods seem obvious, I guess. I guess we move on? I suppose I'm assuming this wasn't the end of the tunnel and there is an onward to go. or am I missing something and there is more to do in the room?

No this was just another room off of the current hallway you are all in. No dead end yet though maybe soon dead characters

Below are the Aliya ID'd item descriptions.

Staff of Fury : This Staff is used in conjunction with a Wizards normal arsenal of spells. While holding the staff all damage attack spells (Fireball, Lighting Bolt, Magic Missile etc) Gain an extra +1 die of damage. This costs one charge. The staff can also be used defensively blocking up to four successful attacks each turn (1 turn equals 10 rounds combat) be it a melee weapon or spell. Can only do attack or defense never both at same time. Costs 2 charges. Staff currently has 21 charges remaining and is rechargeable.

Wand of the Mystic: Wand when commanded acts as a Sword of Light:(A Sword of Light functions as a +4 Scimitar that can also emit a Blinding Light spell 3 times per day. Anyone within 20 feet must save vs. Blindness or be blinded for2d4 rounds and cast Cure Serious Wounds once per day.( Each costs 2 charges per use. Wand currently has 16 charges and is rechargeable.)

Ring of Detection: Can cast any detect spell with 100% success.

Brooch of Anything: Upon command ring can become any known magical item for 8 hrs. Except those considered relics or artifacts. However the same item may never be reproduced. Brooch has 14 charges and cannot be recharged.

Whip of Cockatrice Feathers: Upon each successful hit enemy must make saving throw vs. petrification or be turned to stone. Whip has 12 charges and can be recharged but loses two charges permanently each time. Max recharge at present 20

Daggers +4

Gloves: UNKNOWN

Boots of Featherweight: Boots allow wearer to ignore encumbrance rules. However main power does not activate till wearer steps of a trap or other device triggered by weight. At that time the boots instantly reduce wearer’s eight to zero negating any such device. The wearer is unaware of any change unless in a windy area. If so wearer will be blown about as if a feather for one round.

What about the stones and the sword?

I had Ulthok pull the table over by the clock so the spell would cover it too. Had the stones and broken sword parts put on table too.

Also I think Alyia should get first choice of the magic items, it was her spell. Although as a Fighter / Mage that wand would be a great asset for her.

Just my thoughts:
Sirene would be most effective with the staff, she more spells to work it with.

Lothor would be good with the whip.

Rayne could use the ring of detection as a ranger / cleric.

Cor would be good with the brooch.

Talca as a ranger would be good with the boots, but he has boots of speed.

Just my observations.


BTW, I had Ulthok thaw the chest then the pedistol and then the Wizard, but I'll roll with what you've written.

What ever doesn't get claimed will go into the bag of holding.

Looks to me like Lothor gets the whip. Ulthok already has a magic whip.

If i don't hear soon I'll just post that Ulthok distributed to items to those that showed interest and place the remainder in the bag of holding with the sward pieces and the stones.

Then you all can post what you claimed.

That divide works for me. Makes good sense.

Will be posting later today or tomorrow, but Siréne has Legend Lore so will try that on the etchings. Open to suggestions if there is something more urgent. I think we find out all we can here and then move on down the hall.

Sundial

I believe Tann specifically noted that the sundial reacted to the identify spell, but because it was still encased in ice was not identified. Is it worth it to melt the ice on it and then cast another identify? Assuming we have one, of course.

Or do we need to melt it before we use legend lore?

Main Comp Down

My primary computer with all game info is in for repairs and has been since Tuesday.
As of right now looks like I won't have it back by tomorrow night so I'll call a it a No post Sunday.

Wanding up!

I'm good with having the wand, it seems very handy.

Could the ring be used on the gloves and the dial?

Also, I like the idea of melting the sundial and identifying it.

Burning Hands.....

Ulthok and Sirene have used up their Burning Hands but Cor still has two in his ring. If we want to melt down the pedestal then Cor could do it and then Sirene could do her Legend Lore. Keeper can amend his post and there Sirene can post. We can back track a bit on Ulthok leading out of the room as it happened after we check the clock again.

BTW.. let me recommend that we all try to read each others character sheets to see if we find useful stuff. I forget we I have there sometimes and a reminder would be helpful as we move forward. You guys may see something and figure a good use that the owner may miss. I can use all the help I can get.

Computer back home

I got my computer back today, seems one of my DDR3 RAM sticks went KIA taking a second one with it. The loss of 16gb of RAM all at once crashed me to blue screen and froze up my whole system. However its back home but with only 16gb of RAM instead of my normal 32.

However thinking on upgrading my RAM with 2 16gb DDR4' Corsair Vengeance Pro sticks in red and a 2tb SSD drive so look out

Elious - I imagine that, yes, Roan is definitely with the party and, likely, is watching/guarding one of the doorways to the room we're currently in (he and Lothor seem to have that habit, you know?). I think you're safe to pick up with that idea and run with it as you will.
