All are healed and spells and potions removed as used.
Ody while Peri is in your pouch of storage aka mini bag of holding she is protected from any effects from aging both normally and magical. From what I was able to determine from what little the rules say on raising dead creatures other then those listed, if she was alive and you jump back to future no problem. However if she was dead and not protected in stasis she'd age past the time table for raise dead spell.
I know confusing right that's why I suggested a bag of holding.
And yes Miss Nimu I got your nudge, nudge, wink, wink

Lothor can't do much at range. He has a handaxe of throwing which is good, but not great. Does anyone have some sort of magical items that could be used at range by a fighter? Another option, I suppose, would be borrowing a bow (or getting one from the bag, perhaps?) but arrows seem rather low powered at the moment. An axe and arrow were critical against the first one, but I'd love to be able to hit both at once.
I believe the best course of action is to kill the beholders quickly (in one round if possible) to negate their return attacks. Overkill is not a bad thing. My suggestion would be:
Ulthok cast FIREBALL
Sirene cast CHAIN LIGHTNING
Roan cast BLADE BARRIER
All cast at same time. Probably more than needed but that is OK. If anything is still there Cor can add FLAME STRIKE and Alaya can cast FIREBALL.
Talca will certainly add his arrows to the mix as well.
As for Lothor - is there a bow in the bag? Also, I will repeat the question about an area of effect option he might borrow. It is very possible that even if we succeed the result will be having two beholder blow up and make a lot of noise. If down that passage is a beholder lair we might very quickly find ourselves facing more than just those two - not to mention having any beholders that are out of the lair rush back to defend the nest - meaning we might get attacked from behind. We need to be ready for a full on battle, even if these two go quickly into that good night.
*Depending on how far back the veils area of effect goes, since Lothor can't do much against these guards, it might make sense for him to go back the way they came a little to keep an eye out for a rear attack. But he must be able to stay within both the veil and temperature spell.
Tann - can we get a map of the layout - including what is behind us?
You may have something. Why are they standing guard? We've been teased by Tann to think they are coming after us, not holding back. Is Tann making this seem too easy? Geeze but he keeps me paranoid.
Should we creep up?
As for a magic item for Lothor, I don't remember any. I'll check to see what I can find but remember he would need to learn how to use it. It's like a level 1 trying to use a +4 weapon, you need some proficiency. Magic users have training in controlling magic and magic items.
Now you got me worried about this attack. We don't know a lot about the Beholders magic, could they have some kind of shielding or set out alarms?
I'm not inclined to think that they have some secret something in place, but it is worth considering. Do we have any useful detect magics? And if so, what? Also, what are the odds that such a detection spell would be, well, detected? I think it might be a better idea to risk the full on attack than giving ourselves away.
So, clearly, I can not drink the win in front of me.
Then again, it seems highly unlikely that they aren't at least wary.
So, clearly, I can not drink the win in front of you.
Depending on the map, would a wall of force behind us make sense? It kinda feels like we are trapping ourselves in - and we'd need it to be far enough behind us that if we did get hit by beholder area of effects spells they wouldn't rebound and hit us twice. But it might also mean that a beholder or three coming up from behind would target us and have it's own spells rebound on it. And at the very least it would probably slow them down for at least a round. Probably.
I'm not sure it is a good idea, but I'm just throwing stuff out there.
Am I right in thinking that with the veil spell once we attack we still don't appear unless they somehow dispel the magic? That could help against newcomers, but it seems likely that the direction of attack will be obvious - and if this really is just a hallway, the spell won't really protect us much against area-of-effect attacks since they would logically launch attacks down the hallway - the only direction the attack could have come from. I guess the map again might be important. Tann's post made me think there was a crossroads of some sort. Does that help us or hurt us? Do we need people watching the rear?
Also - for clarities sake, could someone note the area covered by both the veil and temperature spells?

Tann - another question - does it seem like the Beholders are talking at all? Any sign of communication?
I ask because Lothor has a ring of hearing/the ear and a helm of comprehend languages, so if he put on the ring (it is currently not one of the two rings he is wearing) does it seem like there would be anything to hear? This again probably depends on distance, but the ring allows great hearing.
That plan works for me. Siréne will hit with Chain Lighting. I will have a post up Sunday. Will also check for items Lothor may use.
As to the other spells mentioned, think we need to hit them hard with area effects. If one survives we can try the more precision style spells like Magic Missile. We need to go all out while we have the moment of surprise.
Tann - can we get a map of the layout - including what is behind us? It’s really not necessary as it just a L shaped turn in the corridor. From the point of turn the Beholders are like 60 feet away. Behind you is just a half mile more of hallway twists dead ends and empty rooms until you end up at the t shaped hallway you fought the last Beholder at. Past that point is still unknown to you. You could always go back and instead head to the left instead of the right.
Tann - another question - does it seem like the Beholders are talking at all? Any sign of communication? You don’t know as all Ulthok got was a quick look before he backed up into cover. You’d have to study them a few minutes or more.
