Greetings everyone, I am Io, and I just signed up a short while ago. I am an "old" AD&D geek who still prefers 2nd edition, even though I have played 3rd and 4th extensively. I've learned to always play the edition your DM wants or you find yourself without a game, hehe. A web developer by trade, I spend most of my non-gamin time RPing on various forums and drawing web comics and such. I look forward to lurking around.
Well Met and Good Morning, adventurer! *tail wags!* Welcome to your new digital home at the illustrious Red Dragon Inn. I'm sure you'll find a 2ed game here, or you can make one yourself and roll THAC0's and Saves vs Rod, Staff, or Wand to your heart's delight!
By further way of welcome, here's a fresh bouquet of flowers from the Happy Hunting Grounds and a tall stein of spiced mead. Oh, and here's a handy face towel too. Never know when they might be useful. . .
So pull up a chair and stay a while, wontcha? Please check out our resident webcomics and vote for the Inn each day at the home page!
Glad to see a new face at the inn. There are a couple 2ed games going. Trilogy War is a 2ed game I am in that has been running for years. Take a peek, there might be an open slot if you PM the game master.
I know I'm strange for loving 2nd edition still, I had a local group I was playing with that moved on to 4th ed and it felt a little too... strange. Combat was super quick so they compensated by adding more combat and I'm a heavy RP gamer that spends way too long on character back story, inner conflicts, etc. So moving to a fast paced kick the door down type game just didn't feel right to me.
Reading the on-going games right now is rather entertaining I must admit, but I'm not to certain I have the courage yet to jump into a forum based game quite yet. /thanks for the greetings and maybe I'll work up the courage to try a game soon.

We're glad to have you. And you can feel right at home - we have a core group of old 2e holdouts here.

Glad to see another newcomer stretching their wings at the Inn!
After an unexpected absence for far too long, I have been lurking the past few weeks myself and finally decided it was time to dust off an adventure that I had been working on about a year or more ago!
I have been updating it and may possibly have it posted before too long!
Brianna is already working on the backstory of the pre-generated character she has chosen to play and I am waiting for responses from some pre-registration invitations that I sent out a few days ago!
Right now I am editing the backstory to the character that I will be playing along with hosting the adventure, so if the creative juices get flowing tonight like they did last night I may have the re-written Intro ready to post for the Lurkers at the Inn to enjoy reading!
Which means that I will also be posting the Registration for the general population here at the Inn to decide for themselves if anyone wants to jump on board to participate as a player in another Hammer adventure!
Meanwhile, pull up a chair and quaff a tankard of Elven Ale and enjoy what the Red Dragon Inn has to offer its Grand and Glorious assortment of InnMates!
Hehe that's the thing I love about my screen namey, so many potential origins that it leaves people guessing which you mean. There is also Io the moon of Jupiter, and Io one of the many, many woman Zeus decided he'd rather "roll the dice" with than his wife.
There was also Io from the horribly inaccurate Clash of the Titans, but the mythology geek in me tries to forget about that flick.

That is "roll in ht hay with" which is why Ip the moon was mname for a planet of JUpiter. All those old classic names of mythology again.
Hi and welcome. We do have an active 2nd ed game going right now. and players that keep the old systen alive.
