My Mom came out to visit this weekend, and she left this afternoon. It was a nice visit. I don't see my folks very often, so when I get to, its enjoyable. Tried to take advantage of the remaining sunny day by sitting by the river to read. Got through one short story before it got too windy and chilly, and I had to retreat home. chocolate while I wait for the hockey game to start.

Cold is bad.

Yum! Hot chocolate sounds good! I'll pass on the hockey however.

I had 3 and a half hours of sleep last night, thanks to my best friend staying out late, and not having a key to get in to the condo. I believe it was 330 am by the time I was able to fall asleep.

Got a couple things done already, and its not even 830am! Walked to work, picked up breakfast/lunch, plus withdrew money from the bank to pay some bills after work. I am (once again) going to walk to the mall after work It will be WICKED!

Anyways hope you all have a great day, and please read the start of my short story THE UNDERDARK.

I'm awake... I'm alive

Now I know what I believe inside...

sorry... Skillet song going through my head...

at work for 2 hours, and I've got a few adventure concepts I'm working on... New deadlines, new contracts, and new stress... (oh.... my...)

Wish me luck.

It is indeed morning I will give it that...

Weathered another round of storms last night, went to sleep sometime after 4 when the weather finally decided to give it a break and the thunder stopped shaking my windows.

For some reason the outdoors smell like burnt popcorn this morning, not really a pleasant scent but at least we have power restored.

Due to the decimation of my general area I will likely be postponing the start of my game for an undetermined amount of time so I can dedicate myself to clean up and comforting those who have lost loved ones and homes. I just don't find myself in a creative state of mind right now.

Steel, life is stress you learn to adapt. Besides you can accomplish all tasks you set your mind too. This one shouldn't be too difficult for you!

Hang in there bro. Things will pull themselves together in the end. They always do. You've been through worse; I've seen you manage before. So..just keep going.

Be Safe Skye

and any others who have been affected by the storms of late. We had a nasty one go through here last night. tornado sightings but to my knowledge nothing touched down... thankfully.

To all those who have known loss these past weeks, remember this:

The nights have been dark and frightening. Despair has taken hold of many. Torturous loss will affect them and more for many days and months to come.

But the sun always rises. The darkness will fade, the whisps of frightening shadow will evaporate with the light of a new day. You are still here. And you are not alone.

Sorry... brief moment of philosophical inspiration...

Morning Already?

Well my body still resides in zombie mode, I would love to curl back up and sleep away the rainy day. I hope that everybody stays dry, and keeps safe.

I would rather be squeezing my honey bun and forget the oranges.
