Q4S stands for "Quest For Supremacy". The "Lite" just means this system is simplified compared to a more complex or 'Advanced' version in my head.
This system is an exciting and fast way to dungeon crawl, and even the DM has fun because he/she knows as much as the players do as to what the players will encounter next. It is a system in the making with chat room gaming in mind.
The encounters are generated by the players calling out one of eight directions: North,Forward,South,Back,East,Right, West,or Left. The DM then rolls on the direction table for a result and that is what the players experience. The encounters run the gambit of monster battles, traps, treasure finds, dragons, special barriers and obstacles, Character movement, rooms, and even puzzle doors and running into walls.
Over the next few days I will be posting tables for encounters, weapons, armor, Divine and Arcane magic and rules for character creation, game play and battle. Once the system is up and ready for full playability test runs and debugging, I will open up the thread for Question and Answers, but most importantly feed back.
This table is for the purpose of assigning the players a mission to get them in the Dungeon. Requires some imagination on the DM's part to fill in the blanks but the Who, what , why, and where are there. Build on that!
