I just realized that the reprints I have are shiny and cool...but alas, these are reprints of FIRST edition AD&D, not 2nd. Will I be able to run with these? Honestly I don't remember how drastically 2nd ed. changed from 1st.
I honestly have never tried first edition, and so, won't be of much help in telling you whether or not you'll be able to use your books to create a character. However, I suppose what can be done is draft one up as you like, PM it to me, and I'll make adaptations if they are required, then send you the completed copy.
Something I had neglected mentioning! As some additional detailing to your characters to make them a touch more realistic... They've got some additional traits required of them!
So, provide me with the following:
Phobia - Pick something realistic please. If you choose the improbable, believe you me it'll appear out of ire. If you get cute and pick the phobia as the Tarrasque, your friends will thank you in due time for making my life difficult...
Vice - Be it a flaw of character or an actual problem, everybody has something they're not proud of.
Virtue - Conflicting vice is, of course, virtue. Hope. Charity. Compassion. Justice. We've all got some good in us deep in there...
Dream - What's got you out and on the road? Seeking fame? Perhaps wealth? Or maybe one day you'd like to ride a dragon... A little something that helps me out in the background.
