Sending character

Padre,

How would you like the character sheet delivered? I have info to send.

Edit: I'm okay with 'Spartan' for the ship name. I'll include details on a possible method of meeting the party in my email to you Padre

Meeting you guys

If it's alright with everyone, my first contact with each of you was when you were initially contacted and recruited to be on this mission for Phoenix.

Padre has approved my being our employer's hiring agent.

Recruitment

So as Kaeroku stated he... or more specifically Logan Strider is the one who recruited you off world...

I'll give more info later, but this is going to start before being on the ship... You will go through a mission briefing (I have a package prepared) Then we will get to the ship.

Let me know if you's want to RP the briefing, or just go through it in the Q&A, or what.

Edit: By not RPing the briefing, we will get into the game proper faster.

Not at the moment.

Still waiting to hear from Amathiel, and Tinker0311 (the person who has agreed to take my characters slot, and possibly my character)

As soon as I get their character(s) and other info I can post and we can start.

Withdrawing

Guys, this has taken a very long time to get off the ground, for various reasons. It's not anybody's fault, really, but I suspect in the near future I will not have the time to dedicate to this and after several months now of failure to get this going I just don't feel excited about it anymore.

I don't mean to leave you all hanging, as I'm sure you are as eager to get to playing as I had been. I hope you find a replacement, or accommodations which you find satisfactory.

I do intend to pop in and watch the game as it proceeds from time to time, but I fear my tenure as a prospective player has expired.

Again, I offer my apologies.

-Kae

Interest

At this point after many drop outs... Who is still interested in playing?

I spent a lot of time on the character, and I'm pretty into playing around in space, but it is disheartening to see everything falling through. I say let it drop for now and if anyone starts a sci fi game I'll be interested.

July 21... some ideas

Like I said, I'm out until the end of July.

I can say that I do like space/sci-fi stories...
I can also say that I really disliked the game mechanic stuff from Traveller... but game mechanics tend to move to the back of the bus in online RP games anyway, so maybe it won't matter.

Anyway, a couple things I'd be interested in playing (maybe), when time frees up for me in August:

1) A Shadowrun game -- I haven't had the chance to play Shadowrun yet (though Brom had an AMAZING cyberpunk game for awhile), but I love the game mechanics of 4th Edition and the setting (haven't seen the 5th E stuff yet)

2) A modern or future/space tactical military/police game.. maybe Star Wars: Clone Wars or Rebellion eras. Maybe a modern "Ghost Recon"-esque type game. I would expect TONS of combat (in fact, it would mostly be running combat scenerios) with a little dialogue. More of a tactical, rapid, short posts type game. You could do this in a variety of different settings, with a variety of rule systems: Star Wars Saga Edition, Covert Ops RPG, Shadowrun... or maybe a Judge Dreadd setting? Or something like the F.E.A.R. video game... that could be interesting. Heck, you could do it with Traveller (I just don't like the mechanics)... a bunch of marines in battlesuits.

3) With Eol having a hard time getting the time for his Superheros game, I think there would likely be some serious interest in that kind of genre. The Mutants and Masterminds rule system is pretty easy and straight forward too. Could be fun...

Think that's it... for now...
