Bug Reports!

As you may have noticed, we are currently putting in real effort to add new features to the Inn and to correct old issues. 

Along the way, we will undoubtedly encounter some errors - and there may be some that we don't know about.

So please, Innmates - use this thread to report issues. 

A few notes:

  • Please provide as much detail as possible when you make a big report.  At a minimum, we need to know the page you had the issue with, as well as your operating system and browser (i.e. "sending a PM, Windows 7, Firefox" or "using the dice roller, Android 8, Chrome").  If there are other relevant details, please share them.
  • To keep things tidy, please do not add conversation to this thread.  If you need to add details or clarify something, please send me a PM instead.  All comments outside of original issue reports and my confirmation of the issue being closed will be deleted.
  • Additional reports of the same issue will be copied over as comments to the original report, but in the interest of keeping things streamlined, these extra reports will also be deleted.

Let me be the first

Ok I still cannot fix the spacing problem I'm having. Could someone go into the last character sheet in the Trilogy game, Valene Beestinger, and see if I did something wrong or what I need to change. Also the character pics are sometimes ok sometimes gone or saying file could not be reached. Right now the pics seem ok but its like a fickle yet annoying thing. However I just post like now the lines stay the same close lines.

 

I just tried copying and pasting a paragraph post of lines with no spacing on my writer document, but when pasted it still added spacing? Is it me that has the problem or this new brouser?

What program are you using originally, Tann? My suggestion? Stop using that program and use Google Docs. We can't support all of the word processing programs, but we support the main ones.

Soft vs Hard

One thing you might try is using a soft return instead of a hard return when typing out your sheets with a lot of lines (character sheets for example). A soft return is SHIFT+RETURN where a hard return is just RETURN. The editor is set to put a space in if you do a hard return, but nor if you do a soft one.

The easiest way...

...is to copy the post from the thread itself before you go to the edit screen. Once in the edit screen, select all (ctrl+a) and delete it, then paste what you copied from the post and you should have all the info at hand, formatted and spaced normally. Make your edits from there, click submit, and BOOM! you're good to go. From that point forward you should be able to hit the edit screen and no longer see the "run-on" business.
