Tag, you're it

Through use of the context clues that I have been taught to pick out since Gr. 8 combined with building upon gerneral understandings, I have come only steps closer to discovering what a certain term is used to indicate.

OOC: Tag Everyone

I think I kind of know, but I would like to ask to make certain everything is clear, what does "Tag -Char or Group involved-" mean anyway?

Playing Tag

I'm not sure where I've seen it here at the inn... I think in the Star Trek game of old... but I found certain folks would use this format of "tagging" people, to point out certain spots within the post that either require a response from someone or alerted them to a potential roleplaying opportunity. It was mostly used to with larger posts, where the character was interacting with multiple characters, and where the players were working within different game-time frames.

For instance, in my post, I could have stopped after Pio pointed out the sign to the group and waited for your guys' response. However, I had Pio also ask the group if they should check the tavern out now or continue on their way. This pushed the story forward a bit, because really that's the decision we need to make -- check it out now... or stick to our plan.

The space between the two questions ("hey, isn't that the place?" and "should we check it out?") was left open, and you all were tagged, as an opportunity to roleplay. Should you go for it, the dialogue between the character will expand and develop, leading to a (in my opinion) richer story. (And I'm all about story! )

While I didn;t write it, I also work under the asumption that, if need be, I'll edit out Pio's last question. For instance, if you all say, "Nah, Goddfrey didn't say Freeman's way... he said Reitman's Place." well, then, Pio will go with the group's decision.

Anyway... I think I gave you WAY more info than you were looking for, and may have even not been to clear in my response.

... It's really just my way of saying, "Get off yer butts and post something, cuz I just did..."

we're truly getting places, aren't we?

Alright people, like Ayrn said: GREAT postage everyone!

We have a new member to our game. Jozan will be taking the role of Beinsel the Bard, who'll be introduced shortly after I receive his background.

Give him a nice welcome please

posting

I updated, and am now wondering if perhaps you are unsure of what to do? Perhpas I should go ahead and skip time until stuff happens? Of course I don't know exactly what you intend to do once inside the courthouse. So I think I do need some posts to continue.

waiting...

I think primarily we're waiting on Philosopher. I know I am.

Holding pattern...

Yeah, I waiting a bit for Philosopher... but mostly, I was waiting for Jozan1's character to be introduced.

Agreed, though, Almerin... let's keep moving. I will post late tonight. Mostly, I have Pio suggest that we perhaps split up and mingle in with the crowd to see what we hear and find out what's going on. Pio doesn't want to be too conspicuous (sp?) here around the courthouse, especially if we can come back of Thirkday as delivery/wait staff for some big Councilor shing-dig. I try to response to Sui's second attempt to solicit some cool character development between Percy and Pio. (don't think Pio hasn't noticed! )

Jozan1: Are you still in? When shall we expect you?

lol... oops

Apparently I haven't checked the thread recently. Oops. I didn;t see Philosopher's post of looking for some gossip, not Almerin's reply.

hmmm... I suppose I am at a bit of a lose what to do. I would suggest that we wait a bit to find out the outcome.

Have we heard this family's name before?... it sounds vaguely familiar.

Two things: 1) I think I understand now what Sui meant in his post... I'm waiting for Philospher to share the gossip with the rest of us. I don't want to assume.

2) Regardless... does Pio know anything about this family beyond what you've already shared in the post, Almerin?

I think I'll wait another day to post... maybe Philosopher will have put something up by then. Otherwise, I think I'll just post that Pio waits until Llammoth returns...maybe asks a few folks around him what's going on.

Thanks!
Ayrn

waiting again...

I'm going to wait on my post for Ayrn, because I suspect Percifeer is about to get the group into trouble again. Don't post without me Almerin, this post will be significant.

Edits

I made a small edit to my second last IC post, to reflect Sui's post that Percy interrupted Pio before he could finish.

Sibelius: I loved your line --> "It always a pleasure to observe your subtle art."

lol

Yeah! Nice and subtle, Percy! Thanks!

>>sigh<<

Oh, well... at least this game's not boring.

hehe...

I just can't get over the fact that I never mentioned the doors to the courthouse are closed. I didn't.... because they aren't. People are walking in and out, and yes, it's busier than normal, but there's a free entry. A very big group of people has gathered outside the courthouse... on the stairway and the square... but I didn't say anything more

Oh well... , do you want to go in or not? I have Percifeer and Miran going in, Pio waiting hesitantly... who else?
